  1. Just a heads up for people ordering through Midway.   Just because it was available and you put it in your cart doesn't mean you have dibs on it until you actually check out.     I learned this the hard way back in 2008 during the reloading supply scare on primers.   I got notification more had come in, logged on, put some in my cart, called a friend to see if he wanted me to add any for him in order to split the hazmat fee, he said yes, went to check out and it was now missing, called them and they said just because you put in your cart it doesn't draw from inventory until you check out.    Live and learn.
  2. That link is showing it's unavailable as of 12:09
  3. Was on the Defensive Carry forum and a fellow Tennessean told me about TGO. I believe it was TNMitch. Been here since Jan 09.
  4.   Yea...Everybody was scrambling to make sure they got their kicks and punches in.
  5. Ha....They've never been known to do that before.
  6.   I guess they got tired of responding to all the petitions.   If the new requirement is now 100,000 and they keep having to respond, I bet their next requirement will be 250,000 and so on.
  7.   I wonder if the drum beat by us natives got a little too loud and he's not willing to push it from his end.   With states like NY passing laws on their own he doesn't have to push it.   They're doing it for him.
  8. Links aren't going to the article correctly but I was able to find the story.
  9. Well...ain't that just great if it's true. Ammo prices likely just went up again.
  10. Nice victory.   Maybe you can go the next step and convince him to get his permit.  That way he is not likely to change his mind at some point down the road.
  11. I think the law is intentionally vague so they can charge who they want and who they don't.
  12. Welcome aboard!     As long as you don't go trying to hand out homework assignments everything will go fine. :)
  13.   I think he's already pissed off enough folks to last two life times.
  14.   @ Jim Cooper, How about upholding the Constitution you swore to protect?
  15. Heard it too and thought the same thing.
  16. Not exactly what you are looking for but it works for me.  See my post a while back regarding the Elzetta mount.   While it doesn't have a pressure switch, you can mount the end cap of the flashlight so you can reach it while your hand is on the fore end.  Much more natural activation than my pictures might show.     http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/36818-870-hd-shotgun-elzetta-light-mount/?hl=elzetta
  17. Is that even legal to drive on a public road?
  18. Thank you for the link. Powerful stuff. I've got young adult kids now that can survive on their own if need be. I hope it never comes to it, but that fight may be the last and best thing I can leave to them.
  19. I'm guessing the bear was thinking...crap...I find dinner and I left my can opener at home.
  20. Good article.  He makes very valid points that I can't argue with.   .
  21. To be technical Sam didn't say it was a good deal...just the best price he saw.
  22. Double post
  23. One option is to do what I do at Sumner. Double up on hearing protection. I put in ear plugs and then muffs. It really blocks out the noise.
  24. I agree with Steelharp if you are talking about Sumner Gun. At least the times I've been there I haven't seen anybody doing anything unsafe. Friendly bunch of guys that run it IMO.
  25. Uncle Mike's when carrying my J frame in my pocket.
