Mind me asking why it's built so sturdy?
-
From what I've heard the older M&P sights require much more force to remove than newer models. Don't know if that's true or not but mine is an older model and it was quite the stubborn bugger to get off.

The M&P Shield deserves a close look. That's what my daughter picked.

Wow...thanks for all the feedback guys. That was way more info than I was expecting. I'll do some reading up on the info you guys have provided. In general I have no desire to keep up with the Jones or spend a bunch of time tending to the lawn other than cutting it and generally spraying for weeds when they get real bad. I'd rather spend my time on more pleasurable things. I know to some lawn care is a hobby but that's not me. I've been at the same house for 21 years and over that time it's gotten progressively worse I guess. Over the years I've tried seeding and have never been real successful. Since this recent construction work on the house has totally trashed some areas, I've got to do something. I live in a subdivision and my yard is on a slope. I get the runoff water from my neighbors from behind me so I have the occasional erosion repair to deal with. Not having good grass to slow down the water exacerbates the problem. So in summary, I'm looking for my best option for the least amount of work.

In general my yard is pretty sorry with most of it being crabgrass. Due to some construction going on, I've now having areas which are worn bare. I've seen advertisements in the past about Zoysia grass, specifically the plugs but haven't ever tried it. Really thinking about trying it but looking for any feedback anyone may have to share. If you have it, did you use the plugs? http://www1.zoysiafarms.com/whzoysia.jsp

The part I thought was ironic was the "Guns-to-Garden Tools". That reminded me of just the opposite that was posted recently where a guy turned a shovel into an AK. Back at ya! http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/55458-shovel-ak-assault-shovel-you-name-it-lol/#entry851145

Based on the term, plumbing supplies, I'm assuming that it was one of the handheld small canisters so transporting it in a trunk wouldn't be that uncommon, IMO. But looking at the amount of damage to the car it might have been a bigger tank. I will say I generally don't leave the nozzle screwed onto the tank after I finish using it since the things can leak.

Very nice. You forgot to add one of your knives to the picture.

You better watch out there...it looks like you've turned that thing into one of them assault shotguns. I'm gonna tell Dianne. :) I wasn't able to tell much detail on the fore end since the picture is small and didn't enlarge when clicked. It appears it's a quad rail, correct? Also, is that a heat shield or a rail that runs the length of the barrel?

I'm starting to notice a trend here...http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/59648-600-yard-hg/ http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/59703-custom-50-bmg/ You don't mess around dude. :)

There appears to be a detachable barrel shroud of some sort. If so is there a purpose other than match the shiny look of the rest of the gun?
-
I like the idea even though I wouldn't use it for the drinking challenge purpose. Using the three bullet hole logo like David uses on his stickers would look neat.

Gotta post this since you started it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZbtAFq7dP8

Where's the obligatory pictures?

Gotta love the engineering behind this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3mzhvMgrLE

If Utah doesn't work out you can try to get up with this group. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/59348-if-you-build-itthey-will-come/?hl=idaho#entry894312

Well...it's not a feel good movie for sure. It's been a couple of years since I watched it. IIRC, it's somewhat based on historical accounts from people that were around him during the last days and survived. I'm glad I watched it because I felt like it gave me a little more insight of the events that happened even though it may have not been 100% accurate. I'd watch it again.

David, What's the price on the Win Ranger 147g ammo? Is the product code RA9B?
-
I don't mean to sound like an arse, but it seems the purpose is self explanatory. It's for when you want a hidden means of entry/exit.

Is this even legal? Rahm Emanuel and Chicago banks

Well I guess you have a point. If I'm just thinking about getting something at some point I'll put it in my wish list. I don't put things in my cart until I'm actually buying. I just assumed they cleared the cart after a certain period of time.

Just a heads up for people ordering through Midway. Just because it was available and you put it in your cart doesn't mean you have dibs on it until you actually check out. I learned this the hard way back in 2008 during the reloading supply scare on primers. I got notification more had come in, logged on, put some in my cart, called a friend to see if he wanted me to add any for him in order to split the hazmat fee, he said yes, went to check out and it was now missing, called them and they said just because you put in your cart it doesn't draw from inventory until you check out. Live and learn.
