  1. While the letter states the bill does not seek to alter the state's "employment-at-will doctrine," it notes that businesses could run into trouble if they seek to enforce a gun ban on their property.   But the business could say, "he was fired because we didn't like the brand of vehicle the gun was stored in".
  2. It's a good thing we've got all this snow otherwise we wouldn't have anything to eat or drink.
  3. Very nice.   I'm not a knowledgeable knife person so I was wondering if there was a purpose of having one side flat like that or is it just for a unique look?
  4.   Yea, so he could then give it away to the PD...that makes a lot of sense.   I believe someone is lying.
  5. Not sure about S&W AR's being ranked on the low side.  Something doesn't sound right, everything I've heard has always been positive.   Can't go wrong with a BCM (Bravo Company) from what I've heard.
  6. Welcome aboard.   As Volzfan said, Hendersonville is nice but the commute is very congested in and out of Nashville if you work normal hours.   I live in the Bellevue area which is west of Nashville.  It's near both Warner Parks, Natchez Trace Parkway, etc.   The area and down towards Franklin is a prime cycling area if you like to ride bikes.        Good luck with the move.
  7. If some people in this country don't wake up, we're going to get more of the same.
  8. Sounds like a fun time. Do the same kids attend the whole summer or are new kids cycling in and out?
  9. The article said that three kids that jumped the kid with the gun and all three got suspended, not just one kid that keeps getting commented on.     That’s when, the teen told the station, he and two others tackled the suspect and wrestled the gun away. The next day, all three were suspended.
  10. Here's an article on the subject written by the guy that wrote the book Patriots.  He updated the article at the end of last year.      http://www.survivalblog.com/nickels.html   Also, here's a comment in the article that notes the change in the metal value that I commented on in my earlier post.   According to www.Coinflation.com, the 1946-2011 Nickel (with a 5 cent face value) had a base metal value of $0.0733 in February, 2011. That was 146.7% of its face value. Because of the global recession and the fact that both nickel and copper are primarily industrial metals, the melt value of a nickel declined to just $0.0498 in June, 2012. But I predict that as inflation resumes--most likely beginning in 2013--the base metal value of nickels will rise substantially, regardless of the weakness in the industrial economy.
  11. The value of the nickel appears to have change because a year or two ago the metal value was around $0.07 or $0.08. I know because I heard a podcast about the subject and checked out the coinflation website to confirm what they were saying. This was also about the time silver was taking off as well.
  12.   That's very easy to answer...because you need them.   It's kinda like that special tool you have laying around the garage and you keep bumping into it until the one day you need to use it and it's no where to be found.  :)
  13.   Don't sell yourself short.  I don't think luck had anything to do with it.   Being prepared always pays off.
  14.   I don't think anyone was saying get rid of airport security.  I believe the point was to turn it back to private industry rather than the bloated far reaching agency it has turned into.  I believe private companies can do a more efficient job.  To my knowledge the 9/11 thing didn't happen because of a breach in security because there weren't any rules against box cutters, etc. at the time.
  15. Never mind, I answered my own question.
  16. I thought Uncle Joe said...buy a shotgun...buy a shotgun.
  17.   Yep...This is one of my favorite videos from him.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xryXpK042pQ
  18. Their statement is, up to 10 standard capacity magazines. For most of us we use the 30 rounders, which some people refer to as high capacity. So which ones are they offering to the CO residents?
  19.   There has also been talk that it would be good to start a "favored state trading coalition".   States within the group could offer some type of discount or other incentives to do business with other like minded states in the group.  The other states get left out in the cold.
  20.   Unfortunately we all paid money to have his book on the shelf at the library...but it's not like we had a say in the matter.
  21.   A little too much magnesium I guess...you don't say
  22. Holy cow, I'd say whoever made the loads is gonna be in the hot seat.   From the looks of it, I see three parts that are still usable.   The mag spring, mag floor plate, and canvas carrying case.

    Which one?

Joe Biden says buy a shotgun but I'm with the others on the rifle choice.
  24. Joe Biden says you don't need a rifle like that...says to buy a shotgun...buy a shotgun.     I think you've got a nice setup there.  :)
  25.   One question...why the separate decapping and resizing operation?
