Thanks for the link. Somewhere I missed the part in the Constitution where it said these rights depend on where you live.

That's because today people want to call them domestic terrorists.

Very nice. I like the Hi-Power the best as well.

Yea Dickson is getting way out there. You might get tired of the drive to Nashville pretty quick. Since you are looking on the west side of Nashville, check out Fairview (as was mentioned above) as well as Pegram and Kingston Springs.

I was checking out Wikipedia to refresh my memory on the Korean War dates. Noticed they already have inserted today's date. The Korean War (Korean: í•œêµì „ìŸ or ì¡°ì„ ì „ìŸ, Hanja: éŸ“åœ‹æˆ°çˆ or æœé®®æˆ°çˆ; 25 June 1950 – 27 July 1953, 30 March 2013 - )[23][a][25]

Not saying your statement isn't true, but is there a link to the info?

I gotta side with the wife.

I was guessing that might be the case but don't know what numbers to compare. Looking at the router boxes it doesn't appear to give a spec for transmission power the best I can tell.

Army wife near Nashville shopping for my first gun
Trekbike replied to a topic in New Member Introductions
Welcome! Another vote for the M&P Shield. It's the one my daughter chose after quite a bit of shopping. She's tickled with it so far. -
Please clarify what you mean by the word "adapters" since I'm not that familiar with computer networks. By chance do you mean the electronic devices that are using the network?
-
Thanks for the responses. Based on this I will definitely be going with separate devices. I believe I'll be going with the Motorola SB6141 modem. Still researching the router to buy. I've put the Asus unit you guys have recommended above along with one recommended through a PM on my list so far. Is it correct to assume units that have external antennas should provide more signal coverage/strength compared to internal ones? Logic tells me this but that might not be true since it still comes down to power of signal being produced by the router. Is there a specification term/number I can look for to help compare signal strength between routers?
-
Distance wise it's only about 50 ft but it has to go through several internal walls and an exterior brick wall.
-
Thanks on the suggestions so far. That Asus router is more $ than I hoped to spend but if the signal strength super then it might be a cost wash by eliminating the need to get an extender for a less powerful router. If I'm still looking at having to get an extender even for the Asus to get the signal outside to my porch, then is it really worth the extra cost in your opinion?

Hey guys I've got a question I was hoping to get some opinions. Currently my DSL internet is the fastest rate for my address and it's not meeting our needs anymore. I'll be going the cable internet route and will be supplying my own modem. My current DSL modem ports are such that I can't use it for my wireless network once I go to the cable service. My question is this, should I get a combined cable modem and router or go with separate devices? Obviously the cheaper route is to get a combined unit but will I be giving up any quality of the wireless signal, etc. One other comment is I'm looking for a pretty strong wireless signal. I'm looking to kick the signal to my back porch and my current signal isn't quite strong enough so I was already having to consider a wireless extender since my router is turned up to full power. I'm guessing one obvious advantage of a combined unit is no weird compatibility problems between the two. Looking for opinions on which is the better route to take considering my needs. (Not sure if this is like, "which is the best computer to get" type of question or not.) Finally, is it important to plan ahead and get one that is IPv6 capable or does it really matter for the next several years? The reason I ask is, it looks like quite a few on the combined modem/routers aren't IPv6 yet so my choices narrow if I need to have that capability assuming that's the preferred route to take. Thanks.

What does one do with 22 brass? -
...I wonder if there's enough here to buy a brick of 22LR's...

Being you said you will be working east of Nashville, you might want to check out the Mt. Juliet area. Or as Red said, Lebanon which is a little farther east.

Thing was if I understood the article correctly, her son which was armed with a knife, attacked another boy, the victim got the knife away and protected himself. Her son was killed in the process. The victim was not charged.

My J Frame is my EDC with a pocket holster a good bit of the time. The thing I like about it is if something doesn't look quite right I can slip my hand in my pocket, locate my grip and already be half way there on the draw. You can also do the same thing with a coat and can shoot through the coat if you get caught behind the curve. (Not advised with a semi unless your okay with a single shot.)

I feel comfortable with my decision to carry a J frame. I do also carry two speed strips for reloads. Call me optimistic. :)

Someone did a nice job on creating the sign though. It's sad to say but in today's digital world you really can never believe what you see online.

Colorado Mag Limit Bill Affects Nearly All of Them
Trekbike replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Not sure it will do any good but I sent this email to the Chamber of Commerce. I'm guessing last summer was my first and last time in CO. I sure do hate it though, it was a beautiful state. Dear Colorado Chamber of Commerce, I wanted to let you know that my wife and I had a wonderful time visiting your state for the first time last summer. We had planned to come again this summer and this time bring our two college aged children with us. I wanted to let you know that due to your state's recent attack on the second amendment rights of law abiding citizens, my family has cancelled travel plans to your state. I cannot support your state with my tourism money. Until CO lawmakers decide to bring logic back into the discussion and reverse their recently passed laws, my family will not be back. No law can prevent evil people from doing evil things. You only end up punishing the law abiding citizens. Thank you, XXXXXX Nashville, TN
