  1. I believe it was both. That's not viewed as a normal weapon for HD for the average Joe. Appears as though you are looking for trouble. Additionally, I recall him telling about a survey that was done regarding men and women and different firearms and the impression that people had. IIRC, a woman using an AR was viewed more negatively than a man using one because it's not as common to see a woman with an AR.
  2. Just wanted to throw this out since it came up in the meeting several of us had with Chip Cain from Cain Law Firm at the end of last year. He mentioned he had fielded a question from a client regarding having a suppressed SBR AR for a HD gun and how would it be perceived if he had to use it. Chip said while it was an excellent tool for the job, it would be viewed very negatively by the jury and make the defense in court even tougher even if it was a good shoot. His advice was not to use one from a legal point of view, YMMV.
  3. Check out this gun review.  Thought it was pretty funny.   Hopefully it won't be construed as making fun of people with real speech impediments.  Odd thing is that while it messes up people with normal speech patterns, it has been found to sometimes help people with speech issues.       https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oU9EGeMP5n4
  4. Whatever you get, don't get sucked into going with a pistol grip. They look cool in the movies but not for use in the real world. My comment is not to be confused with a stock that also has a pistol grip. Those can be useful if you like that style. Nothing wrong with a regular stock on a HD shotgun. I went with a Knoxx adjustable pistol grip stock on my 870 since the factory length of pull was too long for my wife to shoulder and still be able to pump it.
  5. Just in case you were interested, the container that powdered Gatorade comes in holds a brick of 22LR. It's the one that resembles one of the large jug coolers. It has a twist off top.
  6. Still got it. Ruger Super Single Six revolver with the extra 22 mag cylinder. Got it 31 years ago. Still have the box and sales receipt from Ace Hardware.
  7. I agree this is a step in the right direction.   What's up with two of the restrictions listed below?  How do they enforce these?   The second one is very vague.     • Public transportation • Public gatherings (although a licensee may pass through to reach their home, workplace or vehicle)
  8. If I were you, I'd listen to ted rather than Ted S. :)
  9.   ROFL...For those in the dark on Jak's comment see the video.   Give me the gold...I want the gold.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nda_OSWeyn8
  10. Nice!  I'm digging the look of that forearm and barrel.
  11. She was likely dismissed and told that she was too dumb to realize that the government was the one that needed to take care of her.
  12. You can bet they will say that the dog was trying to attack them. If that was the truth then they would have not fled the scene. The guilty usually run.
  13. A friend of mine that went to the Air Force Academy sent this link to me.   As an early honor, I'd like to say thank you to a man I did not know personally but am indebted to for his service and acts of selflessness.      http://patriotpost.us/alexander/18325
  14. You might be able to sell one to 10-Ring, I hear he's looking for a Kirby. :)
  15. I agree with the advice above regarding using Paypal and going off the seller's rating and reviewing any negative feedback they may have.   Does this appear to be an individual or a true re-seller?   Is your main concern just getting the product period or the product not being in the condition represented? I'm guessing the later since sellers usually can't get by with stiffing people otherwise they get shut down by Ebay.   If it's a large re-seller then their knowledge of the product will be limited since they are just moving the product through.   They most likely won't be aware of small issues that might be present on a higher end bicycle.   There can be derailleur issues or a cracked frame that aren't obvious.  In that case the seller may not necessarily be trying to rip you off, they just didn't know about the problem.   If their return policy looks solid, then that might make me feel better.      It's just me but it would have to be a very sweet deal before I would buy a bicycle that wasn't close enough to see in person.  Just not worth the risk IMO so I prefer Craigslist or a LBS bulletin board.
  16. Either that or it was a long range shot and ran out of force to do real damage.
  17. I'm guessing you wouldn't say they're Ram tough, Ha. Although I didn't own own of their trucks, I had my fill of Chrysler vehicles back in the mid 90's. I'm talking, two transmissions, blown head gasket, AC issues out the butt etc. etc. I doubt I will purchase in the future.
  18. I haven't looked in a number of years but I seem to remember that Bianchi had a number of large revolver holsters.
  19. If Holder gets the boot I going to see if I can get appointed to his job. I can say "I don't know" just as well as he does. That lying sack of ....
  20. Thanks for the post since I've never seen one before.   Too rich for my blood but very cool shotgun.
  21. To me your uncertainty shows you really should keep both. Unless there is a specific reason to sell a gun, I don't, but that's me.
  22. Sweet. I agree at least from the pictures the Benchmade looks sexier.
  23. While I agree that the media will likely go back to supporting him, the fact that Morgan said what he did is huge IMO. Admitting that our government can do something tyrannical, is the first step in arming (pun intended) yourself to guard against it.
  24. You done good.   Congrats.   You'll like the DCAEK kit.   Hopefully your rear sight is a little easier to get off to install the USB than mine was.   From what I read the older models (which is what I have) were much harder to drift off than newer models.
  25. You may already know this, or don't care, but S&W doesn't make the M&P 22.  It's made by Umarex.
