1. Very nice!!!!
2. This...the more features a car has the more it makes since to buy used. On a basic model, many times the new price is not much more than used.
3. Cool story and glad you have a new friend to help fill some of the void.    I've never had a basset hound so I wouldn't know, but do they always look like they lost their best friend?
4. Well the good thing is, it could double as a multi point bayonet if you run out of ammo. :)
5. Welcome Mike. Regarding the paid membership, if you stick around long enough you'll see that it's that fact that makes the classified section so successful. If you go to the iTrade ratings, you'll notice that almost all transactions have positive ratings. If the classifieds were free, I guarantee you there would be a bunch more negative ratings showing up. Payment ensures quality.
6. Just wanted to point out that the $629 Bushmasters are for the Carbon Composite lowers, not aluminum, if that matters to you.
7. What ever you do, don't call this guy.
8. Where are you getting that kind of deal? Most places run high $300's to low $400's each.
9.   Either that or change the times the ammo is available.   Instead of 7AM, maybe switch to 7PM and then the "old geezers" will be in bed...  :)
10. I think you're right on the situational awareness. The group is probably less likely to attack someone that appears ready to defend themselves. They need someone that isn't expecting to be hit in order to end it quick without retaliation.
11. I'd been tempted to holler over to them while the phone was ringing and you were standing there so they knew that it was you that was calling in order to get their response before talking to the manager.
12. For an untold number of years when my kids ask me what I want I always respond with, "World Peace"....I'm still waiting unfortunately.
13. Ha. That joke reminded me of the question, "what's the difference between an oral and rectal thermometer"? Answer. The taste.
14.   Well at least it wasn't bad as it could have been otherwise you wouldn't have gone looking for the frame....:)
15. Would something like this work for you?   I bought one a couple of years ago for my 870 18" HD shotgun but wasn't able to use it since the extension tube clamp was too close to the barrel end.   I will say the thing locks on tight.     http://www.truglo.com/pc_product_detail.asp?key=8FFC31C322DF4247B83E9CC3EF5BC48A&catid=CC464CC39D4E4360BF05DD8A38F256EC
16. Pretty cool rebuild. I really like the hull shape, nice lines. Is the area in bow just storage? I'm having a hard time picturing the size of the area.
17.   So it sounds like my best bet then is to go with the standard LPK unless there is $100 2 stage trigger you can suggest.   Most I'm seeing are considerably more than that.
18. My question in post #83 kinda got lost in the thread so if anyone has thoughts on the matter I would love to hear them.
19.   $800 - $900 per month is what a lot of apartments are going for so finding a single family house would pretty likely land you somewhere you don't want to live.
20. There are some good and bad points about most of the areas around Nashville and surrounding counties, but in order to keep my reply brief at the moment, try to not end up in Antioch if possible.  If the business ends up on the North side, I'd seriously look at Sumner County, specifically Hendersonville.
21. Something sounds odd with your order so I'd give them a call. I've always experience fast shipping in the many years I've purchased from them.
22. Been looking around at options for a LPK and wanted some feedback on two kits from Spikes.   The first link is the standard kit which cost similar to other suppliers.   The second link is one of their enhanced kits that says is an upgraded trigger.   I'd like to have a better trigger than standard but don't want to spend the money for a high end trigger like a Geissele for example.   There are a few other upgrades in the kit like an ambi safety selector, upgraded grip, anti-rotation pins, etc.  The enlarged trigger guard doesn't matter in this case since the CMT lower has that already built in.   Neither one is in stock right now which doesn't matter since this will be a long term build project.     So my question is, do you guys think the enhanced kit is worth $100 more than a standard kit since my main objective is to get a slightly better trigger than standard?     Standard http://www.spikestactical.com/new/ss/lower-kit-spikes-standard-parts-kit-p-421.html?zenid=c76ebe685c4ea78b9cd11e5bb9fe6569   Enhanced http://www.spikestactical.com/new/ss/lower-kit-spikes-enhanced-parts-kit-p-422.html
23. Hopefully you will be happy with the purchase otherwise I guess my name is mud since I suggested them. I'm kind of interested to see if you are able to get a full grasp on the handle since it appears to be a low riding model.
24. Welcome. I'm guessing you fly MD80's based on your screen name. What did you fly in the USAF?
25. Speaking of kilt's, a friend of my wife's husband wears a kilt quite often.   She was in the hospital and her husband and several family members were in her hospital room.   The Dr. came in and she introduced everyone to the Dr.   She named everyone in the room and then said, "the guy in the dress is my husband".   I don't think she is a fan of his kilt wearing.
