1.   I agree.   It's a nice looking rifle.     Gregintenn, how do you like that MI forearm?    Does it feel "solid" without any flex?
2.   What's the details on that scope?  :)
3. Thanks guys!  I'm thinking this is the first time there has been a 100% agreement in opinions on a question.   :)   I'm going to go with the rifle length.
4. I need some opinions on the direction I should go on my TGO build. In summary I'm trying to decide if I want to stick with my mid length forearm that I already have or go with the rifle length which is 3.3" longer than the mid length. The specifics on the rifle are: Daniel Defense 18" S2W barrel with mid length gas Yankee Hill SLR free float forearm Since I already have the mid length forearm, I mocked up how the front end would look. Nothing is bolted up at the moment but the forearm is in the correct position with the gas block. Right now the forearm just barely covers where the gas tube enters the gas block. http:// On the second picture you will have to use your imagination and disregard the big void between the upper and the forearm. My main reason in showing this view is to see what it would look like with the gas block covered and the area between the forearm and the end of the barrel. http:// I can send back and swap for the rifle length forearm but the difference in the part and the return/shipping would end up being about $40-$45. While the extra cost isn't the final decision maker, it is of consideration. If it makes any difference in your opinion, I plan on putting a scope on it for optics. If it was your rifle, would you go with the mid or rifle length forearm?
5. Just as a reminder to folks to check with your local library to see if they have it if you don't want to purchase the book. That's what I did in order to actually get some use out of my tax dollars.
6. I believe you mentioned something about getting a different front bead as well.   Not sure if this would be of interest to you.   http://www.truglo.com/pc_product_detail.asp?key=8FFC31C322DF4247B83E9CC3EF5BC48A&catid=CC464CC39D4E4360BF05DD8A38F256EC
7. That's the one I've got and it holds the shells tight enough on mine even with the brass down.
8. I use both ways on mine.   Extra buckshot - brass down, slugs - brass up.
9. I'm with Red, I'd keep it stock since it appears to be in great shape for the age.
10. It appears that Clod reported that the tree was cut down in post # 18.
11.   I don't know any of the history but if you go by the names displayed on the screen throughout the video it featured Martyn Ashton, Danny MacAskill, and Chris Akrigg.
12. without killing myself.    Crazy cycling tricks.   Everything is truly impressive but the trick at the 3:45 mark is super cool to me.
13.   Mine has a small rattle as well.   I pulled my grip and adjusted the screw.   I snugged up the screw and it reduced the play but I ended up having to back off the screw slightly in order to allow the rear pin to push out under normal pressure.   I kept playing with it until I found a compromise with the pin but some of the rattle returned.   Most of my play appears to be coming from a side to side clearance on the front pivot pin area,  therefore the adjustment screw didn't end up helping as much as I had hoped.        Yea I know what you mean but overall I'm still happy.    My other AR that I'll have less money in is quieter though.
14. Check this one out.  Holy ant hill Batman.
15. Hopefully no fire ants were harmed in the making of the video otherwise PETA is going to be upset.  I'm sure this was a dormant colony  :)
16.   Caster, I would agree on your stock comment but if the gun is going to be used by multiple people, especially females,  that's not always possible.  When I was setting up my 870 for HD, I ended up having to put on a collapsible Knoxx stock for my wife to be able to reach the foregrip to be able to cycle the action without removing the stock from her shoulder.   With the standard stock she wasn't able to.
17. Pretty sweet!!!
18. I saw the sign recently as well.   Hopefully there'll be a reason to make multiple visits to this store unlike Guns & Ammo Depot.
19.   Ha...I guess that one went right over my head.
20.   Mike, When is your next class scheduled to begin?   :)
21. Prayers sent as well for a safe return.
22. Hey Tricky, On the upper, is there something engraved to the right of TGO or is it a reflection in the picture?
23. Another link on the subject.   http://finance.yahoo.com/blogs/daily-ticker/jeff-bezos-really-delivering-those-drones-163501882.html
24. The link doesn't seem to be working for me.
25. I was contemplating the same thing shortly after the 887 came out. Decided the 887 wasn't worth the extra cost and won't ever have the upgrade accessories like the 870. It was the 870 for me and I never looked back.
