1. May want to try looking at Bellevue, or some parts of West Meade are even closer but it's more expensive.
2. He's not in your area but TerryW on here is a bee man and might know some folks in your area.
3. Good one....but I agree with RED. :)
4.
Varget is the best powder for the 75's from what I have seen, the CFE 223 is also not doing bad. H335 seems to be very inaccurate for anything over 69grs
Thanks for the heads up. I have some CFE 223 that I might try instead of the H335.
5. Thanks for the feedback guys but this brings back up part of my original problem, or at least my perceived problem.     The load data sited aren't for the # 2279 BTHP bullet but there might not be enough bullet length differences between all the styles of 75g bullets to matter regarding the pressures.   As in Luke's link they reference a "JLK VLD" style bullet which I have no idea what that stands for.       Should I just not be concerned with bullet style and just load off the weight?    I know for 38 Special loads, the bullet style can make a big difference in pressures (for example a hollow base wadcutter vs. a semi-wadcutter of the same grain weight).
6. Thanks for trying. I wonder if the H335 is not a good powder for that bullet weight?
7. My Hornady loading manual doesn't list info for their 75g BTHP #2279.   Looking specifically for info on this bullet with H335 powder.   Any help would be appreciated until I can buy a newer manual.
8. As was said earlier, they are getting paid in the form of a scholarship. Take the time to calculate the value of that at some of these schools. Okay, since they are risking their health for a chance to play pro ball, let's back it up and pay the high school players since they are risking their health to play college ball. Oh wait...no we have to back that up all the way to pee wee ball....
9. Yes it was an ATF setup, but no one made him buy anything.  Do stupid things, win stupid prizes...
10. Welcome to Nashville!   I'd say try to get a job at Vanderbilt with your wife and then on lunch breaks you can meet up in the supply closet just like they do on TV.   :)
11. Thanks for the heads up. What is the name of the store? Are all the different calibers on sale or just a specific one?
12.
Looks like I'm packing the least amount of ammo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
But the good news is you're packing Uncle Joe's recommend weapon of home defense... :)
13. Too cool...sadly I hope no kid builds one in shop class, (do schools even still have shop?) otherwise they'll be arrested for having a weapon.
14. You and your sister get two good Karma points for the rescue for sure. What type of dog is he? Be sure to keep us updated on his progress.
15. Usually Charlie is around to collect your money and sign you up.
16. I like Hozzie' s design better. The second one looks the best IMO.
17.
That being said, I'm afraid the sentiment that most LEO will not go along with unlawful laws is mistaken
Yep. "I was just following orders..." Seems like I've heard that somewhere before.
18. Very nice job.   So what did the wife say about the finished product?
19. Okay, I'll try a couple more.   I'm assuming there is a small section of wrench left.  Can you use visegrips and clamp on the end of the wrench enough to use it as a makeshift allen wrench?   If so, choke up on the wrench as close to the end as you can so it's less likely to twist into again.   It's hard to tell in the picture but if there is enough threads exposed could you find two nuts that fit the threads and screw them on using one as a jam nut and then unscrew the set screw?
20. If it's just a matter of a broken Allen wrench, is there enough of it left to use some heat and bend a new 90?
21. I'm not sure but I think I see it to the left of that Chipmunk.
22. What's special about their library?
23. But what if we're on a hunting trip? :)
24.
I just wish someone would have mentioned it
I haven't read all the post so this may have already been said, but did you mean to say roadrunner? Sorry, I couldn't resist... :)
