Good luck. Yes take pictures. I can't even imagine how much work it's going to take to get all cosmoline out of that stock. I know I still had quite a bit bake out of the one I bought and someone had already cleaned it up. The link below shows how mine turned out. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/22158-my-first-sks-refinishing-job/?hl=refinishing

Wasn't it on your walk to the Y that you found the dead body a while back?

Nice score. Glad you found what you were looking for. Now comes more fun looking for holsters. I have one for pocket, ankle, OWB, and IWB for my 642. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
I'm not really sure what to attribute my revolver attraction to, but there's just something about them to me. More expensive usually compared to their semi-automatic brethren, and far less rounds-in-ready -- but much more beautiful IMHO.
Revolvers have a soul. Plastic semi's are just tools... :)

You're a man after Einstein's own heart. He didn't use cream either. I found the text below on the matter. He (Einstein) believed in simplicity, so much so that he used only a safety razor and water to shave. When I suggested that he try shaving cream, he said, "The razor and water do the job. " "But Professor, why don't you try the cream just once?" I argued. "It makes shaving smoother and less painful. " He shrugged. Finally, I presented him with a tube of shaving cream. The next morning when he came down to breakfast, he was beaming with the pleasure of a new, great discovery. "You know, that cream really works," he announced. " It doesn't pull the beard. It feels wonderful." Thereafter, he used the shaving cream every morning until the tube was empty. Then he reverted to using plain water.

Very impressive for sure! Glad to see that at least some school administrators (even if they are a private school) still have some common sense to allow her to do the project. What kind of accuracy and distance has she been able to achieve?

Looks good. Is that a 20" barrel with a three round extension tube?

I agree with the above posts. If it were me I would wait until I had a "fenced" in yard in order to give the puppy the proper room to exercise and play. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

You must be pulling out all the stops and buying every gadget that ACME sells in order to get that pesky bird. :) Seriously though, you might check with some of the larger long haul tractor trailer moving companies since some of them also have warehouse storage.

Yep. The same holds true with holsters. It was when I first started carrying did it click with me and now I can somewhat understand why women have so many different purses.
Until just a couple of years ago I would have said there is no such creature, but the Shield comes close! This is coming from a lifelong Glock and j frame fan.
I agree. If I was in the market for a carry piece that would be it but I've always been an M&P fan. My wife really likes to shoot my daughter's Shield.
My initial thought was the cop figured he was not legal, took his gun with the thought he would never come back to court much less for his gun.
If this was the cops thinking then he's not very bright. I don't know how GA issues their permits, but my guess is they're not giving them to illegals.
but they don't have either the 642 or the LCR available to rent. (Not sure why, given how popular they are. I guess most folks want the semi-automatics). .
I honestly think most shops don't rent snubbies because it would cut down on the number of sales. Most folks don't enjoy shooting them. My wife wanted one, I warned her but that's what she wanted so she bought it. First words out of her mouth after shooting it was, "I think I bought the wrong gun". She did get used to the recoil with some different grips.
The magazines may just be worth more than the gun at their current rate, I spent near $100 on 2 in the not so distant past.
Is anything special on the mags other than the color of the base plate?

I have a J Frame 642 that ends up as my most frequent carry piece. As far as the trigger, it was a bit heavier than I liked so I put in the Apex Tactical kit linked below and like it much better. https://apextactical.com/store/product-info.php?pid49.html

That would be helpful especially since I'm viewing via Tapatalk most of the time, and even if the OP has their city in their avatar block you still can't see it.

My daughter's 9 mm Shield feeds the Federal HST's without problems. YMMV. If I recall correctly the Federal HST is the updated version of their Hydra-Shok round and the letters stand for Hydra-Shok Two. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Welcome! And did you know Nashville has more average annual rainfall than Seattle? True story.Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee
The main difference is we get ours in large doses where as, and I'm guessing, WA gets theirs in smaller more frequent amounts. Of course I may not know what the crap I'm talking about.
