  1. This is why I love this place.
  2. I feel that way too when I'm at Shiloh.
  3. Pics or it didn't happen... :)
  4. I'm still curious on how they even knew about the layaway...
  5. You can do this on an M&P as well.
  6. Good deal and that was a good thing you did.   What's his name?   There is a saying, "Saving one dog will not change the world but for that one dog the world will be forever changed."
  7. I don't know anything about the details of the issue but my guess it is related to a billet lower rather than a forged mil-spec lower. If I'm correct, modifying a billet design is a programming change on a CNC machine. Changing an injection mold for Magpul can be very expensive.
  8. I agree on the smells part. He also sounded too "detached" and unemotional in his TV interview.
  9.   Not quite as good, but close...   $115.80 for 200 rounds + shipping (note this is the 200g variety).     http://www.sgammo.com/product/speer/50-round-box-speer-gold-dot-45-auto-p-200gr-gdhp-ammo-53969
  10. Or maybe he does and that's the reason for the sign...
  11. Other than that it sounds like it's a genuine Gibson. :)
  12. I agree that they may have intended to harm you but if they were, wouldn't they have used shorter sticks so it wouldn't be as obvious that it wasn't the normal pin?
  13. I think he meant ma deuce, as in the truck.
  14. Now that Bud 's has a brick and mortar store in TN, wouldn't they also be subject to sales tax on Web orders now?
  15. The key words are SHOULD BE... :)
  16. I'm not at home so I can't check the label. Is that the same ingredient in powdered bleach?
  17. Not meant to nit pick but that's not entirely true. The 642 has a stainless steel cylinder, the 442 doesn't.
  18. For a ankle holster, if you want something less bulky than the Galco Ankle Glove, go with the Galco Cop Ankle band. It doesn't hold it as secure as the Ankle Glove but it's a good trade off in my opinion. I've had mine for about 5-6 years and have been pleased.
  19. The Smith would be my choice.  You might also check out the 442/642 unless you're wanting the ability to cock the hammer.   I carry a 642 about 90% of the time.
  20. I've read that the quickest way to do a full 5 reload using a strip is to put two on the strip, skip one, and then three together. The idea is to load two, two, and then one. The skipped space allows for easier loading of the first two rounds. It seems to work during practice. I ended up carrying 6 rounds on the strip in case I fumble and drop a round on the ground.
  21. Actually I carry two strip with me. I have a small fabric pouch with a middle divider that both slip down into. The pouch height is sized so that the tabs stick out the top. I turn the strip so the tabs are to the outsides so they are easier to grab out of the pouch.
  22. I use speed loader strip since they lay flat in your pocket.
  23. Nice! Any broken bones along the way?
