    Store to avoid

Regarding their explanation of closing the store early to get ready for a gun show, they have a history of closing early. The reason I know is, I pass by their store M-F around 5:30 - 5:45 and can't tell you how many times they are already closed. Not that I was going to stop mind you. I did that shortly after they opened and haven't felt the need to be ignored again with an empty shop. Maybe they should change their closing hours to "whenever we feel like it"...
  2. If your LCR is what you want to carry, I would find a different class that focuses on revolver carry.
  3. Yep. I'd check Nashville Used Music for sure.
  4. Sorry to hear that.  I hate a thief.   Maybe Karma will find him.
  5. Man that is nice!!   I've always liked the barrel and lug design on those models.  I bet that thing is a hoss in person being that it is an eight shot.
  6. My previous house had a heat pump and to me it always felt "drafty" when the heat was on. This was back in the late 80 ' s and it was a brand new unit so I'm assuming it was functioning ok. It kept the house at the setpoint but never felt "warm" to me. I've had gas heat and water heater for about 23 years now and it would be hard for me to go back to electric. YMMV.
  7. Yes. It allows you to check how much you are bumping the case shoulder back so you able to use the minimum headspace you can get by with so you don't over work your brass.
  8.   You can use one of these.  It works well for me.     http://www.midwayusa.com/product/479704/hornady-lock-n-load-headspace-gage-5-bushing-set-with-comparator?cm_vc=ProductFinding
  9. As Hozzie said, how much difference are you seeing? Try an experiment. Measure several factory rounds out of the same box and you'll see variance there as well. If yours are about the same I wouldn't worry about it.
  10. That's why I love my gas furnace, it's warm, toasty, and cheaper than electric.
  11.   The person that told you "it's just as powerful" has been smoking a crack pipe...The only truth to their statement is that it is cheaper.
  12.   I handled a co-worker's Voyage today and I'm not sure if I would pay the additional $80 over the Paperwhite but that's just me.   (Be sure to handle both.)  Regarding the wifi/3G format, unless you are prone to get a wild hair to download books away from a wifi connection, I wouldn't pay the additional $70 to get the 3G.
  13. I'm not seeing a magazine in the gun unless I'm missing something.
  14. Correct. My wife and I went the 7" Fire HD route. She has the HDX model since she got her's a model year after me.
  15. So you guys never see any freezing, or have never seen it split the barrel if it freezes? On mine it has a side fill line via a device in my gutter so I can isolate the barrel so it doesn't refill if I don't want it to.
  16. Last year was my first year to have a rain barrel. It's a plastic 57 gal Fiskers barrel. I drained it last winter and was about to do the same this week. That got me to thinking what other people do with theirs. Does anyone insulate or heat theirs in order to keep the preparedness factor in place during the winter?
  17. Contact... (for those that remember that video.)
  18. Congrats on finishing up your training. Nice looking truck. I really like that color. Safe travels.
  19. I have a question on your truck compared to the one next to it. (I know nothing about trucks.) Yours has the upper side windows but none in the front like the other truck. Is there something different on the layout of the inside of yours such that there's no room for windows, or is it just a difference in options on the truck?
  20. Welcome. Not a knock on your state but I find it amusing that pot is now legal but you can't pump your own gas (at least not in Portland). :)
  21. I think that's a disclaimer on the barrel condition because they are mil surplus. I wouldn't be too worried myself. Probably will be a dark bore but decent rifling.
  22. I'd put the body armor in the gear section. I'd probably go with non firearms section on the knives but I've seen them in the gear section as well.
  23. What's the cost of the under 3 TN license?
  24. Ha. I would have never thought of that. Tempted to get one for my son.
  25.   Thanks for the heads up.   Who sent out the flyer?    Seems odd to send out a flyer at this stage unless it was asking people to voice their support or disagreement.
