  1. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, it may be a safe he doesn't open that often. Kinda like forgetting the password to an online account you don't go to that much.
  2. You ain't kidding...
  3. Is your code based on an offset of the combination numbers or something based on personal info tied to numbers?
  4.   Here my solutions to the road bike vs. mountain bike question and also the pedals.    Since we are talking "survival" situations, I'm not likely to chose my road bike.   I going to pick my Giant Roam 2 that is marketed as a X-Road bike.    http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/bikes/model/roam.2/11508/55859/#overview    I've found it to be a good blend of both worlds for me.    It's much more road friendly than a pure mountain bike but can go offroad.     Part of that good blend is the hybrid tire.   If you are riding on pavement, your contact point of the tire is very short tread.   When in soft ground, the side knobs come into play.   The picture makes the center tread much taller than it is.   http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/gear/product/p.rx2.tire/557/52917/    This style of tire can be put on most mountain bikes to make them more mixed terrain friendly.      Finally, on this bike I have two sided pedals.    One side has the SPD clipless design and the opposite side has regular pedals.    So I have my choice of whichever shoes I want to wear.   http://bike.shimano.com/content/sac-bike/en/home/road/pedals/pedals/pd-a530.html
  5. Agreed. I have a bale out option/plan of where I can go, but things will be need to be hopeless at my current home before leaving.
  6. There's not too many horses, donkeys, mules, etc. just standing around most cities so unless you already own one, I think that leaves you self powered transportation. Me, I'm riding my bike IF I'm bugging out and have no other powered means.
  7. I like my Blackhawk Knoxx Specops stock. Mine is the non-recoil reducing model since I was too cheap to buy the recoil reducing model. Sent from my KFTT using Tapatalk
  8. Agreed, but I'd still rather push a bike laden with saddle bags up a hill than to be carrying the same load on my back. Plus every hill has a downhill side. :)
  9. Yep. Those sure beat walking...
  10. Pissing off the wife by burning up her plants can get you in a mess of trouble. :)
  11. If things don't work out with Jeff let me know since I'm a couple of minutes away.    I have the vise block you posted but I also have the Magpul BEV Block just itching to be used since I don't have any builds going since I got it as a gift.       The great thing about the BEV block is it takes all the stress off the upper.   The link I previously posted is below.     http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/85914-magpul-bev-block/
  12. Welcome. What model rifle are you restoring?
  13.   I know you didn't mean that in literal terms, but that comment struck me as funny.     Yea, try that with your wife or girlfriend and see how that works for you..    :)
  14. Hopefully it will shoot as well as it looks! I love that stock.
  15. Easy, a J Frame... :)
  16. I don't carry a gun when I go to church, I carry two... :) One on the ankle in case I'm sitting, and one in the pocket in case I'm standing, when and if, something breaks loose.
  17. Not a chance I'm believing that story. :)
  18. I believe you are looking for UM Tactical.
  19. If TDR's offer doesn't work out, you might consider using some appliance lifting straps.    They aren't that expensive and that's what many appliance delivery guys use now anyway.    I believe it cuts down on the damage to the appliances especially if stairs are involved.   Due to the design, they make lifting the appliances not that hard.
  20. I'm assuming most of the time the two parties are together, correct? Otherwise how would you know if only the purchaser came in alone? Or can you tell it when the type of gun they are buying doesn't "fit" their demeanor?
  21. That's not always true because most of the TV shows and movies I see show everyone racking the slide before they fire. :)
  22. I didn't drive while there but Shanghai is hard to top. Crazy drivers plus dealing with an untold number of bicycles and scooters could make you cringe.
  23.   Actually this is what the driving manual says to do.    Copied below.   You may turn from a side street or driveway into a shared center turn lane, stop, and wait for traffic to clear before merging into traffic in the lane immediately to your right. Make sure the lane is clear in both directions and then turn into the lane only when it is safe. Be sure to give the proper signal while waiting to move into the right lane and also when moving out of the turn lane back into the right lane of traffic
