What modern firearms do you think will be collectable in the future?
Trekbike replied to Erik88's topic in General Chat
Yea, crap like that happens. Maybe you can go to a Python sellers support group. :) -
Comms mentioned one holster maker above and there are several others on here. On the lower to mid range commercial end, Galco makes some decent stuff and I have some Don Hume holsters that are nice for the money. On the mid to higher end, DM Bullard and TT Gunleather are worth taking a look at. Milt Sparks is a higher end option. As I mentioned earlier, there are a plethora of good holster makers that others might recommend. There have been numerous threads on here regarding holsters so doing a search should bring in other options. Since you mentioned hiking, I would go with a OWB pancake holster to be more secure so it doesn't move around. One other carry position you might want to consider is crossdraw. It might give you easier access if you have a heavier coat.

President Obama declared a state of martial law, what if.
Trekbike replied to RED333's topic in General Chat
But I heard he can declare marshall law... ;) -
Do you prefer leather, kydex, or a hybrid (leather & kydex)? There are a plethora of good holster makers in each category. What's your budget? Do you need a holster that you can attach/detach without taking off your belt? If so, you'll want a paddle holster. It is more convenient but not as secure as a pancake holster. Do you already have a proper gun belt? With the proper belt you can carry even the heaviest of guns without a problem.

Is there a specific reason you are wanting a shoulder holster? The reason I ask is, you mentioned cold weather and a coat. If the coat is zipped you are going to have a tough time getting to the gun quickly. You may be better served to go with a OWB type so you can just lift up the side of the coat to gain access to the gun.

Well you can increase the paradox if it was also chambered in .223. While not rare, it's always odd to me.

Pending Gun EO Chatter, Update See Post #114
Trekbike replied to runco's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Well, I guess he will need to write another EO to take care of that, right after he sends out his EO stating he now has the right to create laws... -
You might try contacting Kris, who goes by 173rdABN on TGO, He owns DTV Tactical Innovations. They do some slide work but don't know if they do the cuts you need. They have a tab on the website for the slide services. Kris is a good guy and will treat you right. http://www.dtvtacticalinnovations.com/

Looks like you've trained Burley well. Appears to have good muzzle control and paw off the trigger until ready to fire. :)

Colion Noir makes an awesome statement

Yep, he's spot on again as usual. -
Yep. Just wait. Before you know it, it will be the day you get to walk her down the isle... I had told mine for years I wasn't giving her away because I wanted to keep her. Thankful I had pretty much cried it all out in the weeks up to her wedding so I pretty much held it together as we went down the isle this summer. She still calls me "daddy". It's hard to explain how just that simple term, after all these years, still cuts right to my heart. I'll end with, congrats and have the time of your life because we only get to do this once...

Since you said you were new to the gun, I would have someone else shoot the gun to see if they get the same results before getting a gunsmith involved. Assuming you are right handed, this chart will help diagnois potential causes.

That made me and the misses LOL. :)

Is it correct to assume they would hear better with docked ears? If it were me, I would dock. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

I believe you are speaking of the Petco out in Bellevue. If so, I wanted to add a clarification. The rescue group that sets up on Saturdays in front of the store is called Proberbs 12:10. We foster dogs for them from time to time and they are a good group IMO. Three of my four are through them. While Petco does allow them to set up on their property on adoption day, Proverbs is a total separate group. It's a win win combination since since Proverbs gets the foot traffic and location while Petco gets to sell pet supplies to the new adopters. Petco also recently make a large donation to Proverbs. :) http://www.proverbs1210rescue.org/

I third a 20 gauge. What about a Rossi Matched Pair (single shot) in 20 gauge and .243? http://www.rossiusa.com/product-details.cfm?id=92&category=3&toggle=&breadcrumbseries= Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

Just picked up a set of Truglo TFX sights (fiber optic for day, Tritium for night, white focus ring on the front) for my Shield. Haven't installed them yet but I'm happy so far based on just looking at them in different light conditions. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

Rethinking HCP carry after San Bernadino
Trekbike replied to jgradyc's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I thought only a 45 could do that... :) Since you mentioned caliber, why do you dislike .40 S&W so much? -
So has there been a final say on what rifles were used? I've heard AK's but also AR's. So which one? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

What a silly comment... of course they were CA compliant, that's the CA state law. :)

Yea I know but we hold ours to 4 permanents so we can still accept foster puppies. It's like a revolving kennel around here. At the time we had the mom that delivered while here, we were at 7. We fell in love with the mom so we ended up keeping her after the pups were weaned and adopted. We were at 7 again not too long ago. We have learned it's best to take multiple puppies at once rather than just one. Multiples sleep much better at night. :)

I've heard the magic number is 8. :) I haven't filled my quota of pot stirring tonight so I'm going to throw this out there... The OP said he's 5 months old so he's still a puppy. [emoji3]
