There's not much I can add based on what others have said, except one piece of advice, if it's applicable. I say applicable because it wasn't mentioned in your post so I have no idea of the current situation. Hopefully your wife's mother is still alive and there is a good relationship in place. (If not, then the following obviously doesn't apply.) If there is, try extra hard to help foster an even stronger bond/relationship with your daughter and your wife's mother. You can't force a relationship to grow, you can only afford the opportunity for it to grow. Thankfully I've had the pleasure to witness how much of an influence for good that a grandmother can provide to her granddaughter, even long after the grandmother passes. While that advice doesn't change your situation, it might be helpful as you continue to build a better life for your family. Keep the faith and stay strong.

I think the determining factor might be the breed of the dog. Currently I have three, a Chihuahua, a Pug/Min Pin mix, and a Red Healer/Sheltie mix. All three were rescues and are basically inside dogs when they aren't outside in our fenced in yard, off and on, during the day. All three sleep inside at night. The first two dogs are most happy to be inside, especially the Chihuahua, since they aren't very tolerate of cold weather. They do like to lay in the sun on warm days. My "working dog breed" loves the cold weather since he has a double coat and many times doesn't want to come in at night. We don't leave him out at night since there have been a number of dogs stolen even from fenced in yards in the area where I live. (He is a beautiful dog and is a prime candidate for theft in our opinion. It's the low of the low that go around stealing dogs IMO.) When I let them out in the mornings, especially when there is frost on the ground, he will run out and roll back and forth on the frozen ground, happy as he could be. In summary, dogs as you pointed out, are pack animals and really want to be around us, whether it's inside or outside. If we are inside, they are at the back door begging to come in. If we are outside and they are inside for whatever reason, they are begging to get to us outside.

You mentioned an "electric blanket", but I'm thinking you meant a heated pad. We got a K&H Lectro Kennel brand from Petco I believe. You just leave it plugged in all the time. Not sure if it will fit your needs or not. We use ours indoors since we have a couple of smaller dogs that can't seem to keep warm enough. Automatic Temperature Control Pre-set internal thermostats automatically monitor the surface temperature to keep your dog warm and comfortable. K&H outdoor pads are designed to warm to your pet's normal body temperature of 102°F when he/she lies on the pad. When your pet is not on the pad, the heat will dissipate into the air and the surface temperature will vary according to the ambient air temperature. We designed the Lectro-Kennel with simplicity in mind. Plug it in and it will automatically warm on its own. There is no on/off switch to worry about and the pad will never exceed the natural body temperature of a dog or cat. Now that's easy!

Going to pour a concrete shooting bench tomorrow

Sounds like Kahrman knows a thing or two about yoga... -
Also, unless I'm mistaken, their "Eotech" sights appear to be on backwards.

I've seen better ventilation in a sealed piece of Tupperware than at Gun City. At least the last time I was there in the 80's.

I agree! Since the government decoupled the US dollar to gold standard years ago, maybe we can lobby to tie the dollar to bacon...

Best 10mm load for black bears
Trekbike replied to Jared Hensley's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I might carry a 10mm on the off chance I might run into a bear, but there's no way I would go hunting for one with that caliber. -

You know bears are pretty good tree climbers, right? [emoji3] -
Like others, I use it for 38 special and have used it some for 9mm.

Looks like a good option but I'm really liking the Hero 5 for the fact that no waterproof case is needed. I also like the voice control capability as well. All of these action camera's are really gaining some nice features and get better every year.

It will be interesting to see how really "pro 2A" he really is. I know he will be better than Hillary would have been in that regard, but I think a bunch of his "pro" comments were done to get the conservative vote. Quite a number of politicians get more "pro" around election time.

Good timing for me too. I've been looking for one as well and I'm likely to get the Hero 5 Black over the Session to get instant feedback via the screen based on my needs. I don't need the camera for a few months so I'm hoping they might come down on prices since it hasn't been on the market very long. For those that haven't seen the newest version here's a description video.

Three British stooges, a bike, and an electric fence.
Trekbike replied to Sam1's topic in General Chat
Too funny. I'm still trying to figure out how he got it stuck in the fence. -
Updated: Didn't get much sleep....brought a new lady home!
Trekbike replied to Hozzie's topic in General Chat
Cute for sure. Both you and Smith will have your hands full keeping them "working". I have a five yr old Australian Shepard/Red Healer mix and he still wants to play non-stop. He's a frisbee catching fool. -
Have you tried "cars.com"? You can search for new or used and it has a very detailed filtering system you can use to really narrow the search if you are looking for something specific. (Distance, new/used, dealer/private, model, trim, color, etc.) The bulk of the cars are from dealers but there are some individual sellers.

If you already have a gas generator you can get a tri-fuel conversion kit. No permanent changes required. I got one of their kits on a half price sale last year. Easy to install and my generator runs better on propane than gas. I also have the fittings for natural gas but haven't had a chance to try it yet. I also linked to their fuel consumption webpage. http://www.motorsnorkel.com/ http://www.motorsnorkel.com/propane-consumption-rate?___SID=U https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBsNLVaujv0

After they sold them the case, do they say, "look, we went ahead and printed a label with your gun's S# and other info and stuck it on the case for you" when they bring it out of the back?... I agree with others, that shop needs to be outted. What they are doing with the magazines and cases is likely illegal.

The fall time change for me means, I still go to work in the dark, but also come home in the dark. Messes with our dogs too. Not my photo below but it explains things.

While I understand the logic of an offset on a fence to be safe, to me you just "forfeited" that land to the other property owner. The future property line becomes the fence line is most people's minds years down the road. Not saying that's right, but perception is reality. If it was me and there wasn't any law requiring an offset, and if the property line wasn't in dispute, I put it as close to the line as possible without going over.

Odd, on Tapatalk it only shows the Saiga and MP5. On the website version, I now see all four. Not sure why.

Did the mini-gun video you guys are talking about get removed because it's not in the two videos above?
-
So how do they prove that someone waited the correct amount of time or not?
-
Your use of the term "absolutely unregulated" is not really correct. They have to be resident of TN and be eligible to own a firearm. Most folks prefer that the person has a current carry permit which gives more certainty that the person is not a felon and up to no good.

Great video and explanation. I'm guessing Opr8rERROR would give a pretty informative explanation as well given the chance...
