Yep. I may have missed it but I haven't seen any real attempt to cut the fat out of each department BEFORE asking for more tax revenue. Anybody that says there's no fat to cut is in a sad state of denial.

A co-worker and I were talking about that negotiating tactic today. I'm thinking that's the case.

I have a blued version with a 5.5" barrel. To me that's the best length for the frame size. Looks like a very natural length at least to me. I've had mine for 40 years and just use it for general plinking. It's a great shooter.

I wonder how much for lard? They must have a stock pile of it since they're not cranking out the meals right now.

Below is a comparison photo I took of my 14 rnd extended 45 acp M&P mag next to my 15 rnd 40 S&W M&P mag. (The 15 rnd 40 M&P mag is the same size as a 17 rnd 9mm for reference.) One might say, duh, the 45 is a larger round, what did you expect? I just thought it was a good visual of how much more space the 45 round requires when it comes to magazine capacity.

Thanks for the trigger advice! I'll give it a try. I'm hoping my trouble is just not enough time practicing with one. I've only gotten to try it on two trips to my brother's range at this point.

@Cruel Hand Luke Not that it matters in this particular case for your explanation, I'm right handed but left eye dominant, but I can focus on the sights and the target without having to get my left eye behind the gun. I consider myself a decent shot on stationary targets. For moving items like a Texas Star I do have a bit of trouble clearing them cleanly. (I think I've tried with one eye closed but don't recall that it helped. I may just need more practice time on one.) So that's why I ask the question that if the person can focus on both the sights and the target at the same time, does it matter? So would my trouble with rotating targets have anything to do with being cross dominant?

Yeah, what Dave said. Depending on your location, a local shop may do enough volume that they get decent prices from their distributor and they can order it for you. Sometimes it works out close to the same cost in the end compared to an online purchase and then transfer fees. I prefer to have a local shop order it for me since if there's an issue with the gun when it arrives, it's all on the shop and it's not your problem to deal with. If you order online and transfer, then the local shop has no obligation to deal with the issue. Plus you're helping to support a local business.

So when he tried to aim before, were his sights and or target blurry? If not, wouldn't he still be able to shoot lined up correctly? Seems like the only probably would be if he wasn't able to focus the sights and target at the same time. Not trying to argue, just educate myself.

No doubt as does most every business. Especially the ones that have the "customer" cards like Kroger that are required to get the lower price. The fact that it was a news story just hit me funny.

Rifle: My favorite is my German Sport Guns that Mr. Kalashnikov licensed for them to make. Fun to shoot but is it's recommended to use high velocity or hyper velocity rounds, although it will run on bulk pack stuff if you're willing to deal with some FTE's. Runs well enough on CCI Mini Mags. Handgun: My Ruger Super Single Six convertible that I've had for 40 years.

I came across him about a year ago and noticed something different about him from the start. With me being a Christian, I was drawn to him from that perspective. Liked his video content (both tactical and family), and his "real world" tactical veteran experience. There are only two internet based "groups" I support financially, WPS and TGO. Both are truly special groups in my opinion. Hat's off to you TGO David and the group of mods that keep this site a great gun forum. @TGO David An interview with him on the Shooter's Nation podcast would be neat.
