  1. I wouldn't be surprised if he signed some (relatively minor to some, not me), legislation if it passed the Senate. Something like ammunition restrictions or mag capacity. Maybe a more intense scrutiny laden background check system for people buying semi-auto. A mental health evaluation prior to purchase? We don't control the Senate, It's the Republicans. Although they have a strong 2ndA edge over the Dems.....They are still Politicians. All the Republican Senators I have heard speaking on the subject talk about a Balance between Safety and 2ndA rights. That means they are open to some sort of new restrictions. You gotta wonder what's left?
  2. Doughboys ready to fight Fritz alongside the Tommies and Frogs.
  3. I think in the news profession that's good, good, good not bad, bad, bad.
  4. I can see that I guess, would be nice if they started with his current profession and worked back though. There's a damned good chance that might be more relevent.
  5. Watching MSM briefly this morning. Host said to guest expert. " it apparently was just a handgun, imagine how bad it would have been if it was an AR assault rifle?" These people are clueless! Close quarters chaotic nightclub..... an AR would not be the most efficient to do evil mass murder IMO. I don't think it would have been worse with an AR.
  6. Been working, driving around and catching radio updates of this. He apparently was a Marine before 2013. May or may not be relevant if ptsd issues were diagnosed but.... In the majority of cases a bad guy does bad stuff why does the news zero in on military service almost right away? I'm sure he has had some other jobs since 2013! If an ex shoe salesman who has been a Realtor for 6 or 7 years shot up a nightclub the news would call him a Realtor. They wouldn't go through his resume years back. Unless he was in the Military! Just an observation, maybe I'm perceiving it wrong.
  7. 3 minutes response time. Ridiculously fast. The LEO who died was a real life hero. As good as it gets in these cases but unfortunately 3 minutes is too slow when seconds count. May God comfort those families who are grieving today.
  8. Didn't the villian use a P-38 9mm?
  9. It was more silly kind of humor back then. Politics crept in but it wasn't the main goal, or at least as a kid I didn't see it that way. They did a lot of spoofing of commercials. I also watched SCTV back then and Monty Python on PBS as well as Benny Hill. Now it's mostly political it seems and only sometimes funny but very lopsided towards the left.
  10. Every idea coming out of Europe isn't bad I guess. Might be the best way to go.
  11. I'll make sure to take a double dose of Zantac before watching. Also I won't be holding my breath on a 60 minutes special on what types of vehicles are most used in mass killings in Europe either.
  12. Somehow I never got through the whole series. What I saw was excellent. I remember seeing an episode where just after the war they were on occupation duty. Must have been a strange time to be serving. There was also a follow-up about the Pacific Theatre I believe.
  13. I forgot, Now I'm up, more time to peruse social media and get or even influence the pulse of the people...... Ok FL or those with friends or family there. Vote R Now that that's over I'm making some coffee.
  14. Something about the old Warbirds and bombers of WWII. Style, utility and the Technology of that era produced the most beautiful aircraft. Beautiful and deadly.
  15. "Jane you ignorant slut!" "Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger,Cheeseburger, Pepsi"
  16. Another type of Veteran that was mostly destroyed for scrap metal after WWII. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TJk1jqzjYU
  17. This one should be required viewing. I've watched it a half dozen times and it still gets to me. "The Best Years of Our Lives" from 1946 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxw3I9SF850
  18. Nothing I would use unless temporarily handicapped like after a hernia surgery. If I became permanently disabled I'd get the handicapped permit. Good on Lowes though. The spots remind folks that the life they enjoy is in great part to the people who served and are currently serving. I was only a 63 november at the end of the Cold War so no combat here but I was ready and in position if needed. I am thankful to those who went before me and after who did see action. Sadly many just don't appreciate how important the military is.
  19. Lucky Husband anyway!
  20. I don't like my LCP because I can't hit anything with it. Can't grip it properly. Newer ones supposed to be better. He kinda needs to feel one in his hands to get the right one, (I FEEL). Maybe super small isn't needed.
  21. If the last two incidents have anything to do with political timing or political anger about who might win or lose, we all better step up the prayers. Election day ain't here yet!
  22. Perhaps, typical a-hole anyway. The world is full of them but fortunately some people change. Cops did a good job for sure, I believe there are times that shooting an unarmed man is justified, but these cops had plenty of space and opportunity to get him down non lethally.
  23. Looks like the guy disliked Trump and was a major anti-semite. I guess Trump's son in law has something to do with that. What the heck is going on with the timing of these incidents? I try not to think we're all being manipulated but first the Midterm Bomber then another mass shooting right before a big election. Maybe statistically these things happen every so often and occasionally intersect with Elections. I keep telling myself that anyway.
