  1. I didn't think you wanted to get rid of the red-light districts in Tennessee.?!? Oh, wait, cameras, dang-it, cameras. I'll read closer next time, promise I will!
  2. I don't think I feel like driving to Chattanooga OR Nashville just to get my butt whooped and have my screen name posted with my 24" group.
  3. Hey, GLOCKMEISTER, check your PM.
  4. Now, got to find that dang "UN-SEE!" button. I know it's on this keyboard somewhere under all this puke.
  5. Mike, just wanted you to know that, thanks to these yay-hoos on this thread, I was just FORCED to go eat a BACON sandwich. Couldn't take it anymore! I don't have anywhere to get pancakes while I'm at work, but I'll take care of that later.
  6. Alright, dang it! I completely missed this last night. For the record, I do love both bacon and pancakes, and I have no idea what my standing is here, or anywhere else. I try to keep it that way so I can't be held responsible for knowing anything. So, who the @#$%*^&()^&%$ is TMMT, and who got banned?
  7. Try Tennessee Gun Country on 41A in Clarksville. 931-552-2118. Close on Thursday and Sunday.

    Dozen

Congratulations, brother! We know where your healing came from, and from Whom. I'm glad that, through your ordeal, another soul was brought to Him.
  9. I'm...too sexy for my bank.......too sexy for my bank.....sooo sexy?!?!?! It'd be nice if this woman was half as pretty as she thinks she is. She apparently thinks she is Eva Longoria. But, ummm, not a chance.
  10. Nope, nuthin fancy down here. ASP stick and Glock 23 with one boollit.
  11. That was meant to be an underhanded joke. We do carry the regular 21" ASP here though. No spring.
  12. Well....Sometimes you do have to sling it a little, but mostly ejects by it's own spring. Now back to our regularly scheduled ASP discussion.

    Dilemma

Although the Mosin is a good, solid rifle, you'll not likely get the intrinsic accuracy out of it that you would from a .308, especially the Savage. But, it's probably a whole lot cheaper to get a Monte Carlo stock for the Mosin, along with a decent scope, than to buy the Savage. The Mosin does, after all, make a fine hunting rifle. Like one feller told me just today, decide what it is that YOU want and get it done. Pretty sound advice if ya ask me.
  17. That's unfortunate. A converted Saiga done right is a very good rifle. But, if you're curious about high-end AK's, check out Jim Fuller at Rifle Dynamics, Arizona or Nevada I believe. Or Red Jacket Firearms. All those are pricey though. I don't know whether any of the vendors on here sell them or not.
  18. I am thinking of converting over to the AK platform for my "go to" equipment. I do like the simplicity and reliability of the platform, but mostly I like the terminal performance of the round better than the .223/5.56. The latter round has never thrilled me that much. That said, I am thinking about swapping out to the AK. Again, this is not a "For Sale, For Trade" ad. I have already cleared this with management. If, after gathering some opinions, I decide to go through with this, I'll post it in the Traders Post according to the rules. This is only a request for information at this point. I'll first list what I have, then I'd like some information on good AK's. So, here's what I have: Sabre Defense 16" M4 upper, chrome lined, T-marked flat top, post front sight, MaTech flip rear sight. I have a spare bolt, firing pin, trigger, and hammer with it. Built on a Sun Devil milled lower with RRA internals, 6 position stock, Magpul MIAD grip, Blackhawk single point sling on Brownell's attachment plate. 20 or so 30 round mags (10 of those are Brownell's mags, the rest G.I.). I have a little over 1300 or so rounds with it - 500 Wolf fmj, the rest XM193 with a few HP and SP thrown in. O.D. green rifle bag with mag pouches on side. Now, what value do ya'll think I should possibly put on this, as far as trade value? Alright, I need some good, quality, objective opinions on good quality AK's. The vast majority of AK's run cheaper than this rifle, so, rest assured, I won't jump on some "Bubba Inc. AK with a bent barrel and half a receiver for trade" offer. My dream rifle is an Arsenal Bulgarian, or better yet, an Arsenal or Saiga built by Jim Fuller, but I realize those are kind of out of reach right now. I used to own a Saiga. Loved it, wish I could have kept it - circumstances, circumstances. I'd really love to run across someone who, perhaps, had a Saiga or MAK90 or NHM90 for trade, with maybe a WASR folder in good shape thrown in for a truck gun. I'd also be needing to swap out mags and ammo. Why don't some of you more experienced folks, preferably those of you with a few more years under your belt, give me some good objective advice on this situation? Do you think I should list it for trade? Or, do you think I should just leave that idea alone and work with what I have?
  19. Me? Well, I have a nice AR and wish I had a couple good AK's instead.
  20. Check out www.midsouthshooterssupply.com , they have a good selection, and sometimes their prices are a little better than you find elsewhere. Seems like they have pretty decent prices on the Gerbers and Ka-Bars.
  21. Nice! That's just like mine!
  22. I'll be showing that one to my wife.
  23. Yup, that's true. I know that if I have the 7-layer burrito at 2AM I'm going to have enough harassment to deal with from that alone, sometimes before I can get home!

    stolen guns

Rotten @#$%%^^&&! If you have any pictures, let me know and I'll give you my email so you can send them. Likewise with serial numbers. I work all the way down here in Cumberland City, but we all know thieves travel. If you can get me the serial numbers, I'll pass them on to my neighboring departments.
  25. Not a bad idea. I, for one, don't mind a bit if someone wants to contact my department for verification. Makes one wonder who all this would weed out. Does sound pretty labor intensive and expensive.
