  1. Just read on channel 2 site that the chance might happen between 4am and 7am Sunday morning. I'm up in Clarksville working overnight close to the KY line. Maybe I'll get a shot at it.
  2. Just did a hole and let em roll!
  3. That's gotta be way cheaper!
  4. see what ya did there
  5. Been there done that with the pepper spray at work. I said nothing to no one. I suffered alone! "Suffered" may be too mild of a word. Not fun times. I feel your pain.
  6. I've been out of the game for a bit. Good point on the parts. What about the aftermarket companies like S&S?
  7. The last I had were the late twin cams - 2016 Street Glide Special which I got rid of and got a 2016 Heritage. Loved both, but I needed a new 4wheeler, so, 'tis what 'tis. I didn't have any problems out of those, but I always wished I had gone retro and got a late model Evo. If you get an early twin cam, if I remember right, you'll need to go in and replace the cam chain tensioners. They can be a good engine but probably need a few things done.
  8. Exactly right on handgun calibers being a compromise for defense. But it's what we have because it's difficult to carry a full size rifle or shotgun in a holster. So we do our best. Hard to go wrong with the brands mentioned. My boys and I run Critical Duty 135+P, Federal HST 124+P and Gold Dot 124+P. There's other good choices too. I don't know if there really is a "best" one.
  9. Can we make this at least a once a week thing and make it permanent? Both of those - dogs and bourbon - are FAR better than people!
  10. Does he have any left?
  11. Opened up for partial trades.
  12. Or at least a halfway sensible day
  13. I've been looking for a new rifle lately. Been talking to a friend of mine who owns a gun store about it. I texted him the other day and asked if he ever took any trades. He replied "It depends on what it is." I sent him a text back that just said "Wife" Now I think this is where I shot myself in the foot: He asked "Can she cook?" I of course replied "Sure enough, but she nags." Dang it! I never did get a good rifle that day. I thought if Bearclaw could do it on Jeremiah Johnson I could do it too. Oh well.
  14. Yeah, but, but, why do that and miss the opportunity to stress myself out trying to make decisions... Yessir, in all seriousness, that option has been on my mind. It might very well come to that.
  15. Strange......I feel the same way about cherry trees. Must be a coincidence....right?
  16. Which b14 did you get?
  17. Good to know. I'll wipe Savage off my list. I guess there's a good reason that, on some of the more snobbish forums, I'm seeing Savage referred to as "Salvage." I don't intend to ever get into any of the long range competition, and I like things to be muti-purpose, hence the need for an all around rifle.
  18. Rob, since this is about a general purpose rifle, I'm surprised you haven't recommended the Savage 110 Hog Hunter. Seems like there was a picture on here a while back with you holding one of those. My son has one now but I haven't tried it out yet.
  19. I forgot to mention Browning. I did have an A Bolt many years ago. Loved it but taded it off for something or other. Don't know much about the X bolt.
  20. Question: I know the Ruger American Gen II is supposed to be smoother. I have always heard of feeding problems with the Gen 1. Are the Gen II rifles reliable?
  21. Dang dude! Where you been? Haven't seen you on here in a while.
