Well a list would be nice, but compiling that would take up WAY too much time in my case.

Oops. Double post. Dadgum ignorant phone. Or more likely the operator.

Yeah I do have to keep reminding myself that they treat their own members that way as well. I tend to forget that part sometimes.

That is absolutely beautiful! And kudos for saving that resource. And for doing what I've always wanted to do, which is harvest and build from the property.

Thanks for the info jdgreen. That is still one thing that makes my blood boil. The absolute contempt and disdain with which the military and federal government treats civilian law enforcement. I was stuck on the navy base in Meridian, MS for a week for a school back in 2006. We were all officially on duty and in patrol cars and we still had to lock our weapons in the trunk. 22 years out here working the streets with the responsibility and liability of packing a gun for a living and having to face the dregs of society on a daily basis, but we can't be trusted. Never made sense to me. Same with some federal buildings. I know that'll never change anything but that's another soapbox issue of mine and I'll never change my viewpoint on it. I've been looking into some of the small apartment rentals instead of a hotel. I need to do some calling around and try to find one where I can check out late in the day on that Friday so I can keep my gear stored there while I'm on base. It would almost be worth paying for an extra day just to be able to do that.

And just to be clear on the 1911, I've owned quite a few of them. Just don't own one right now. I do love the fact that I can tinker with them. Whenever I've brought one home the very first thing that happenes is that it winds up on my table with everything but the sights stripped out of it. I love doing that. And it makes it worse. The sickness runs deep!

I thought I had it figured out. The pistol for me. The "I don't CARE what other people want, or what's popular, it's for ME" pistol. I'm equipped with some good revolvers which I'll never let go of. So that niche is covered. Good to go. I had grown completely weary of Glocks, my oldest son wanted a Glock, so I gave him two. Good to go. Now to figure out what I want for ME. Borrowed his Beretta 92. Loved it. Carried it for a while. Thought "I'll go this route." Bought a Beretta 92G Elite II. "THIS is PURDY! This is the one for me!" Is it? So why can't I get away from the constant siren's call of the 1911? I can't stand this much longer.

I'm not sure if this is the cause behind being thrown in jail for the wrong kind of grass, but those blasted homeowners "associations" are the perfect example of tyranny at work. I'll stop before I get on my soapbox again.

Yep, that's why I was a-complimentin' the ole boy. Curmudgeonly ole farts are the only folks I get along with nowadays. But seriously the guy knows everything! I wish he lived closer to me. I'd be trying to pick his brain so much he'd probably have to run me off from his house.

And, that's not to take anything away from Dolomite's points either, because he has raised some valid issues. Intelligent young man that Dolomite!

Well, I'm all for protection of everyone's rights. If someone tells me they do not give consent to search, then I don't have consent. If I don't have probable cause, I'm just outta there. The fouth amendment is there for a reason. If someone doesn't want to talk to me, well the fifth amendment is there for a reason. I'm all for the protection of people's rights. Those rights include my rights. I, just like everyone else, has a right to be anywhere without having to be in fear because some pos is threatening to shoot me. I have a right to keep myself and my family alive just like everyone else does. And that's what I'm going to do. I don't have to wait for the flash coming out of the end of the barrel to start trying to figure out how to keep from offending him after he's threatened to shoot me. All that being said, I do believe that in the areas of personal rights and privacy a lot of lines are being crossed. A great many of us police officers are still out here working to make sure that people's rights are NOT trampled. We're supposed to be working FOR the citizens, not trying to keep the citizens controlled and under thumb. Citizens of this country have a right to be able to go out and work for a living (foreign concept I guess) and not have to worry about these worthless thugs breaking in while they're gone and raping, murdering, and stealing. But these rotten thugs are what this rotten society wants to protect, instead of the good people. Maybe we should return to old fashioned values. I do believe that a lot of the things being done out here on the streets of this country amount to tyranny. Whether it's some police chief, sheriff, fire marshal, mayor, county executive, senator etc., a good deal of them seem to be interested in one thing - power. And they want to do whatever they can to keep it and lord it over everyone. That whole short list of people there (only a fraction of the whole list) has one thing in common - they are supposed to be working FOR the people. But instead, so many times when someone is given the slightest bit of power they turn into little tyrants and work against the people and lord it over them. Is this true in all cases? No it is not. And the ones practicing such things need to be held accountable and face the consequences. But what is still bewildering to me is the fact that when you have a circumstance such as the one described in the OP, you no longer have in this society a loud voice of the people raising a public outcry against these thugs threatening to shoot people ( or even when they do shoot people), but instead there's usually an outcry from someone trying to make sure the thugs are protected. Do some cops act like tyrants and violate people's rights? Sure they do. And it grates on my skin. So let's put a stop to it. But let's also put a stop to the criminals out here violating people's rights. Or maybe we should just return to these days:

Very well said. And a much needed read for me at this point.

Thanks gentlemen. I'm finding myself in a constant state of prayer these days. For years he's been determined to do this. He's at the starting line of realizing his dream he's had since fifth grade.

I just got back home from the MEPS center in Nashville. It was THE hardest thing I've ever done as a Dad to watch my son get on that bus and head out for Parris Island today. Pray for him that the Lord will be with him and give him strength and resilience, and that my son will trust in Him. I told him yesterday that even though he may have the blood of warriors coursing through his veins, the blood of the Cherokee, the Seminole, the Blackfoot, the Norseman, all that pales in comparison to the fact that he is covered by the blood of Christ, the Lamb of God, the King of kings, the Lord of lords. I want him to remember that. And to remember that God will never leave him or abandon him.

This sounds like incidents which have occurred at some other places. I believe Pan-so-and-so Bread was one of them. It's why I won't spend my money at these places. The manager, as well as her boss, was a complete fool for falling for this Bravo Sierra. The complaining customer is apparently suffering from some liberalitis syndrome related mental disease. I bet this same stupid B!@#% wouldn't have said a word had she been in the presence of a table full of armed gang bangin thugs who reeked of weed and who actually DO indiscriminately kill people! This jelly minded piece of fermented bovine scattology sounds just like an antifa type. I'd bet money that this piece of S%^* was absolutely not in any kind of "fear" whatsoever, but saw an opportunity to cause trouble for someone wearing a badge, and his family, and put on the act for that sole purpose. I wish that officer and his family could file AND WIN a crippling lawsuit against outback and that low life customer for the absolutely unnecessary scene that was intentionally acted out for the purpose of causing humiliation to this officer and his family. The D$#%A** manager and her boss should be immediately fired as well. This SH!^BAG society we live in, which has been cultivated since the 60's and ESPECIALLY CULTIVATED DURING THE RECENT 8 YEAR REIN is CONSTANTLY trying to find ways to humiliate and crucify the men and women who stand on the front lines in the towns, cities, and counties on the streets, highways and backroads who not only are here to serve the decent people, but to serve these same pieces of S#$% as well! I know it will NEVER happen, but I sincerely wish that ALL of the decent people in this country would take a stand and walk away from these places and NEVER spend their money again. Let them have their chosen customer base of worthless thugs and antifa types that they have chosen to cater to and wallow in the rewards of their decision.

Dunno. I have seen several articles around the web reporting on this. I have read just a little bit, but not everything. I still can't say that I really know anything at all about the 320. Maybe the Army should've went with the Jennings.
