Excellent post! Sometimes we don't know who we're dealing with, what their station in life is, or what their financial situation is. For the most part, none of that should matter anyway. We'll do a lot more good if we always treat people with respect and dignity, at least as long as they will allow themselves to be treated that way.

The crux of the matter right there in those few words

That would be great. But then, the British gubment would have to turn loose of its oppressive, tyrannical hold on its own citizens and actually trust them enough to "allow" them to defend themselves against the increasing onslaught of crime caused in great part by the "refugees" that have been foisted upon the British people. Then again, I have little sympathy for the British people themselves who have continued to live under tyranny instead of casting it off.

At least with that picture TWRA can't deny and explain it away as someone's lost kitten. Not that they've ever done that of course!

I'm going to get worried when they start selling chicken lips!

I've already shot something about 3 miles out from the house. 'Course.....I was 3 miles away from the house too. Kidding aside, that is extremely impressive! I imagine the amount of money he has tied up in that rifle is impressive too.

Anybody on here make leather holsters?
res308 replied to jeff43's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Yeah, right Greg. I seem to remember you being right talented yourself ole boy. There are plenty of capable folks on here. Greg, Ron, 1911 - all talented gentlemen. I would offer to make you one myself, but I'm out of leather and haven't bought any in several months. Geez that stuff is expensive! -
I had seen that logo recently and had no idea it was a Kia

I subscribed to Outdoor Life during the school magazine drive. I've been surprised to find some interesting lengthy articles, but a lot of adverts, and it's only about 4 (I think) issues a year now. I still prefer picking up a magazine or book and reading. I need to subscribe to something like Fur Fish Game or Backwoodsman. I want to get away from all the unrealistic "Look at what we're doing and where we're going and the guns and gear we have but you can't afford it like us because you don't have a seven figure income" type shows and magazines. I sort of liken it to those stupid house hunting shows my wite watches where the real estate con artist agent is driving the couple in their early twenties around searching for their first home. He works as a full time butterfly collector and she's a part time pet salon worker and they have a first time home buying budget of 1.8 million dollars. It's all so much unrealistic bovine scattology and it just pisses me off.

I experienced a hassle trying to pull up that site on my phone. When's that due to pass by?

On second thought, it almost looks like a doberman with wings

You sure that ain't a pterodactyl? I hope that's not here in Tennessee!

Hmmm. No ketchup here. But can a guy get away with Hienz 57? I seem to have, I mean I know a guy who seems to have an addiction to 57 and uses it on many different things.

Yeah, I've tried eating a shoe before as well. I didn't like it. I have just about gotten to the point that I won't order a steak at a restaurant any more. Long ago I used to order well done. That never worked out well for me. I switched to medium well, but that wasn't great either. If I do order a steak anywhere nowadays, I order medium. But even then it's usually dry by the time it gets to the table. I'd rather just grill one at home.

You didn't get arrested for being NEKKID?!?

I hope you have a great trip. Let us know how it goes up there. Whenever I do settle on a particular bike, I want to take a road trip, maybe next spring. You have me thinking about that direction now. Have a safe drive and enjoy getting to unwind, and hopefully recharge the peace batteries.
-
Please tell me you're not making this trip on a bike. Because if you are, I'm not going to like you anymore, and I'm going to be jealous. And, well, frankly I'm going to stalk you along the way.

Nope. Hasn't really changed at all, except for getting worse. I still drive on occasion, and I put one in my pickup for my weekend drives to work in Nashville. It would be good to be able to tune in and get a heads up on traffic problems ahead, or just have a decent conversation with another driver going down the road. But, both of them wind up staying turned off more than on. They can be useful though.

This is just my opinion here, so it's worth every penny you paid for it. I would venture a guess that Travis has probably not confronted the rest of wally world's famous pond scum sucking pajama wearing vermin about their loud mouthed profanity while going all through the store. Come to think of it, Travis should probably consider getting into politics since he would fit right in with the time tested US gubmint practice of going out of their way to punish those who have been wronged. What Travis should have done is call the police, then took you and your family back to the security office to try and find this punk on video and possibly get a tag number so that charges could be filed. Sounds as if he witnessed the incident. ("Hey sir, I saw that, and I'm sorry that happened to your family at our store. If you don't mind, maybe ease up on the profanity with all these kids around, and if you'll follow me we'll go dig this punk up on video. The police are on their way, and if they can find them, they'll be charged ( times three ) and banned from the store for life.") might have been a better approach. Being "Mr. Authoritative" toward someone who has just been put in grave danger by some idiot ain't NEVER the right approach. He should probably attend "Sensitivity To Common Sense" training. But I doubt he'd pay attention in class.

Thank you. I had forgotten about that site.
