  1. Well, third time's the charm! Mar 2 - applied Apr 3 - first call, waiting on TBI Apr 14 - second call, still waiting on TBI May 4 - Woo Hoo! Spoke with Hazel , a very nice lady, said my address was misspelled said HCP would be issued in a couple of days (guess it takes 2 days to change an "i" to an "o" at the state level! ) - plus the usual 7-14 days Guess the Wally walk is next - I live close enough to walk TO Walmart!
  2. Worst part of this, now if 'bama tries the back door AWB, via the CIFTA treaty, he probably has the senate votes to ratify.
  3. The law prohibits carry on postal property, not just inside building - yet sect. 2 (below) only allows searches of vehicles when in restricted nonpublic areas. So you're probably OK to drive-thru and drop mail in mailbox while carrying - Maybe OK to leave sidearm in your vehicle in public parking area when entering the P.O. - but I'm not sure how this would play out in court, and I don't want to find out.

    SWINE FLU

    ...especially the ones wearing lipstick
  5. Most of those panic stricken folks probably voted for ol' hope n change...not that they deserve to be scared to death or anything.
  6. Doesn't your HCP badge make it official?! Anyway, our HCP instructor said that P. O. was a no go, then said he knew that people carried into the post office every day, at least here in Jimtown
  7. Now, can we just Pick Up The Pieces and move on?
  8. I may consider one of these...(Better Holster) I'm experimenting w/ a belly band to achieve the same deep concealment. EDC for church and work, under a tucked, button up shirt. Comfortable (for me) anywhere from waist to armpit. As for slow draw - that's me! - in a SD situation, I hope to exit, or duck and cover, then sneak draw from concealment only if necessary. Requires unbuttoning (or popping) one shirt button before drawing.
  9. Difference of opinion/interpretation as to local park carry: Rep. Campfield says, "The bill allows legal Tennessee carry permit holders the ability to carry in local parks . It gives local governments override potential. They can allow or not allow at parks and may allow some parks but not others." Well, I'm not a lawyer, so which is it?
  10. Still waiting on TBI - they must have heard about that time I was smashing 22 shorts with a hammer... ...it's OK, I was only 10....
  11. ...and wait...and wait...and wait...
  12. Any "food" at Waffle House is a potentially dangerous weapon!
  13. 2nd call today......still waiting on TBI background check......guess it takes longer if there's nothing to find......42 days and ticking...
  14. Sorry 'bout that...pro photographer I ain't! Please do not adjust your set
  15. Bought a box of Winchester at Wally, white box, .357 Magnum, 110 GR JHP, or so it says. All rounds appear to be jacketed soft point, not hollow point! Look... This ever happen to anybody?
  16. I combine dry-fire & speedloader practice, at least weekly. Six rounds of spent aluminum "brass" (or five in my J-frame), dry-fire, eject, speedload snap caps, dry-fire again.
  17. FYI - I'm a card carrying member - there are many threats on the table more immediate than this one - maybe NRA is just preparing in advance here, but it seems to me their primary focus is fundrai$ing - JMO
  18. +1 to all who had the intestinal fortitude to watch all of it...thanx for watching so I didn't have to...we tuned in just in time to hear, "gun show loophole" - that was enough for me.
  19. Just ban April, no more fools, problem solved!
  20. NRA lookin' for a handout...as usual
  21. Campfield says, Expect the time limits... to disappear before it is all said and done. FWIW
  22. Called today......still waiting on TBI......call back next week... BTW, Ninja9, howjadoit? I applied Mar 2 ?!
  23. FYI - Carteach0 had a post on this the other day.
  24. Just voted: F's 40% - A's 36%
  25. Question - I bought a box of Speer Gold Dot in .357 Magnum for my Dan Wesson 15-2V6. When I got home, I read on the box that it was optimized for 2" barrels, not my 6" DW. Will the longer barrel affect the performance of these rounds? Good or bad?
