  1. FYI there's a surplus in Cookeville, can't remember the name, off Willow & 4th (maybe 5th?) near the hospital & tech. They have a good stock of clean cans, little to no rust, .30 cal $6, .50 cal $8, and various other sizes. I bought several.
  2. Batman did you just say the governor is packing?!
  3. Answer: Roberts Rules of Order
  4. Apparently. the good governor has pulled a fast one, or at least attempted to. I hope they learn something from this: Quit playing Nice-ley, rescind the recall, and let the bill become law.
  5. Only used 'em once, but got what I ordered. 7.62x54R brass, good stuff FWIW. Then they went up $30
  6. Influence & memories: Remington Model 514 - single-shot .22 S, L, or LR. My first (39 years ago) and still my favorite. Shoot the most today? Hard to say. Essential: Remington 870 Express Magnum 12g for me - 28" bird + 20" slug barrels, does it all.
  7. NVM - Got my cancel order notice yesterday. Moral: Don't count your C&R's before they're shipped!
  8. First, TGO disclaimer, if you haven't read: read-before-discussing-any-information-about-reloading Now, I'm not a reloader, and don't play one on TV, but here's a couple of links FYI: M1895 Nagant Revolver Reloading Project Real Guns - Handloading the Weird, the 7.63x38R Nagant
  9. I did a double take when I saw the ad. About $50 less than Yugo's I've seen. Had to wait til payday, but got my order in dark and early Friday. I'll post pix when I get it!
  10. I emailed my representative, senator, and the good governor before the override. Later received the governors canned letter, and a brief e-mail from Sen. Yager, but no e-mail from Rep Windle... Until today - in the US Mail (!) was a card with this handwritten note (retyping for clarity): A few years ago, he also called me in response to my e-mail on the income tax issue, and talked 15-20 minutes about the subject.Regardless of party, wish we had a few more like him in public office. Just wanted to give credit where credit is due.
  11. I.O. had these for $199.95 - said, "These guns were used with the presidential guard in Bucharest for drill purposes." Bore good to excellent, stocks show wear, My first official C&R purchase! (Hopefully) I say that even though I got an order confirmation, they took down the ad today. Hope I made it.
  12. <table class="poll-results"><tbody><tr class="row1"><td>Yes</td> <td>43%</td> <td>151 votes</td> </tr> <tr class="row2"> <td>No</td> <td>56%</td> <td>196 votes</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="3"> 347 total votes Voted NO - although I actually do look for postings and other signs which indicate a place too dangerous for me to enter. </td></tr></tbody></table>
  13. ...but only posts 3-4 times a month. so many blogs - so little time!
  14. I feel a little better about parks, since the override was a smack-down for the good governor. Still, I'll believe it when I see it...
  15. Voted - 58% - 36% - 6% We need to beat down every one of these polls, back down the memory hole - if they win even one, they will triumphantly declare the world is now anti-gun, the people have spoken!
  16. Voted... Yes 93% 5966 No 7% 479 Total Votes: 6445 Thanx, Lou - the lone voice of reason at Commie News Net.
  17. Still up - voted at office: Yes 67% No 32% other 1%
  18. Staged this PM, just for this thread! The target is genuine; 18 rounds at 10 feet (BTW, CTD has mags for $8.97 - u need spares!) NVM out of stock
  19. did my dooty - 57% Yea, 42% no, 1% other
  20. Mine's a real tack driver!
  21. ...and a little more better Yes 52% No 48% 1498 votes
  22. I have a J22. $40 worth. Good for tap & rack practice - this gun will jam in every way imaginable. Mini mags RN's do work best, occasionally feeding an entire 6 round mag without a hiccup. I got a lot of stovepipes w/ Federals. I tried really hard to do a target for the TGO shooting context...did manage one decent group at 10 feet. At 10 yards, takes about 3 mags (18 rounds) to put 10 in the paper. Didn't want to be accused of cheating, so I disqualified myself!
  23. e-mails sent: My e-mail to the governor's office was more to the point:
  24. Sorry, Mule, but that seemed all-inclusive to me! Can we all just give ourselves a D- in reading comprehension, and get along?
