  1. The Audi "Green Police" the most alarming ad ever. BTW I'm saving a box of WinClean, just in case... ...that is, if it still works.
  2. I carry my J-frame in a belly band, under a tucked shirt. Either a Safariland speedloader in right front pocket (with my keychain and many keys I barley notice it) and/or a speed strip in the watch pocket of my jeans. Two additional speed strips are in the mag pockets of the belly band. I don't notice them, either. I use Hornady XTP or critical Defense in the revolver only, and cheaper JHP for the reloads - they suffer more wear and tear from pocket carry than the rounds in the cylinder.
  3. That's not a bug...it's a feature!

    Big South Fork

NC for day use - backcountry permit $5 required for overnight. It is federal - endangered species might be a problem. But I wouldn't worry too much. Rangers are a rare sight, away from the highway and campground. Watch out for ice, even if we don't get more tonight. Be careful and have fun! Big South Fork
  5. 1. Big Gov't takes over GM & Chrysler. 2. Big Gov't initiates measures to eliminate the competition.
  6. I'd answer that, but....it's so easy a Caveman could do it.
  7. I vote for Dan Wesson. My 15-2V6 .357 is sweet! And you can still find 'em for less than some others mentioned here. Alas, they're out of the revolver business.
  8. ZAP-5346 - Triple K Ranger Belt, Size 46 Removable Brass Buckle, 1 3/4" Wide, Walnut Oil Basket Weave Got one of these for my Dan Wesson - great for the price. The 1-3/4" is too large for most of my jeans' belt loops. Works outside the loops, though, and carries the Big Dan w/ no problems. They make it in a 1-1/2" Garrison style - will be on my next CTD purchase, if there is one...their S&H is a little much.
  9. Over, and done. Next up: wadders vs. folders
  10. I kinda like Cross Vegas, 'cause it rhymes - Viva, Cross Vegas! I think the whole -vegas thing is a combination of sarcasm and wishful thinking.
  11. How did you get your C&R to pay for itself? Mine's costing me a fortune! I've bought from Classic Arms, and Southern Ohio Gun - recommend both.
  12. OK, thanx for doing the extra research. Didn't mean to sound critical, just typed a quick response and went home. Ever learning, myself! We've had ongoing problems with trespassers on our property: 4-wheelers and motorcycles, trash dumped, a doe shot from the road, out of season, and about 50 yards from my parent's house. Not good.
  13. The above applies only to the "Hunting by written permission only" statute; not to all trespassing situations.
  14. I confiscated a tent blind last year on my property, and posted a sign with contact number nearby. Went back a few months later, the "perp" had returned, and left me the carry bag! If he only had the nerve to call, with appropriate contrition, I probably would have returned it...
  15. Revolver - because there is no semi-auto that is legal for hunting during muzzleloader season!
  16. My favorite Scott Brown quote:
  17. True story...when I was a toddler, my folks took me down to visit Sgt. York - not long before he passed. Too young to remember of course, but I'm told they let me play with his light switch, the old pull chain type, much to his amusement. Guess I'm the only TGO member who ever yanked Alvin York's chain! I want too see the Maxim when it goes on display.
  18. Lame Kitten
  19. WNOX radio saying Coach Cut to make announcement shortly...
  20. Prayers sent...wife and I prayed for all who are ministering in Haiti this morning, when we heard the news.
  21. If my blood is boiling, why am I still COLD??? I'm with you, fellow oldfella....vote 'em all out.
  22. I suspect Leroy's on the right track. There are some other counties/towns in TN where outsiders don't buy property - period.
  23. Southern Ohio Gun has the best deal on 82's I've found. Your choice of holsters, plus extra mag/mag pouch for < $200. All mine were TGI, w/ import marks on the bottom of the slide. You must register and send in your FFL/C&R to see their prices.
  24. IIRC, "Type" refers to the action - "bolt" in this case. Model - probably M91/30, could also be M38, M44, etc. See here for ID. Capbyrd is correct, SN on the receiver is the official one.
