  1. And here they is!!! The Brown Truck O' Happiness came Monday. Paid the $10 for handpick on the P64 - it's a 1968 model and almost perfect - no muzzle wear, one tiny scratch, about 1/32" The gun was well-oiled, but the only cosmo was in the magazines. Field stripped & cleaned both, seem to be functional. Haven't fired 'em yet...
  2. I gave in...ordered a P-64 and a Tok from SOG...missed a couple of good classified deals here, thanx to my company sending me out of state last week. Anyway, this should round out my collection of commie guns...for a while.
  3. Cumberland Plateau - 100.3 had a strong signal up here; 98.7 is useless static - and bleed-over from some podunk station in Kentucky. And my parents haven't had TV since the digital switchover, either.
  4. Per TWRA, "A muzzleloader is considered to be unloaded if the cap is removed from the nipple." Don't know if there are similar laws in other states. Also, antique and black powder firearms are exempt from federal regulation, FWIW.
  5. $25 gets you a no frills class in Jamestown...36 m north of Cross-Vegas...usually held monthly, with qualifying at Catoosa the following weekend. Call Sheriff's office 931-879-8142 for info or to register. Instructor is Willie Upchurch, a retired game warden.
  6. BATE...that smelly stuff you fish with! ...seems appropriate.
  7. If God wanted us to have only one handgun, why did He make us with two hands? nvm, Daley doesn't believe in God...or maybe he thinks he is god...
  8. I was referring to the NRA/Wayne LaPierre statement, not the SCOTUS ruling...reading comprehension, my friend:)
  9. This of course is the right to keep arms. Nothing is said about the right to bear arms. Good ol' NRA... Logically, the courts cannot allow one and infringe the other. Unfortunately the supremes are just one heartbeat away from defying all logic...
  10. If this thing stays dead, it may be NRA 'support' that killed it.
  11. Nice how you got the footnotes to line up with the bullet holes in your door...
  12. Previously discussed and here (Not pickin' on ya, there's some good info in those threads.) IMO, carry in a church that's also a school, is a legal can of worms nobody wants to open. However, I always carry concealed in church, and take my chances.
  13. IMO, better check any WWB. I bought 3-4 100 round boxes of .38 spl FMJ last year, different stores, times, etc. Stored in a dry box, in a closet. Opened one last month, about 30-40 rounds were corroded, some quite a bit. One case was dented. Separated all the bad ones, shot 'em up. All fired. I checked the other boxes in my stash, all OK.
  14. Ramsey...but it would be really cool to vote for Sam Duck! ...best name since Jim Bob Cooter
  15. Ran across this, along with a related article, by non other than Issac AsimovAll Four Stanzas
  16. Guitar, bass, dobro, mandolin, and banjo, of course! Never played in a bar, but I've played in some pretty rough churches...
  17. 12, 20, .410...boring
  18. Didn't the BATFE seize a bunch from TGI a while back? ...wonder where those are now?
  19. OK, I'll play: .22 s, l, lr 7.62x39 7.62x54r 8mm Mauser
  20. .22 short .22 long .22 LR .38 Special .357 Magnum .440 round ball .454 round ball 9x18mm Mak 7.62x25 Tok (no gun for it - yet!) 7.62x38r Nagant
  21. Commenter, toward the end, said there are only two ways to deal with others - reason or force. IMO, in either case, Mr. Suddes is completely unarmed.
  22. All I can think of... (video)
  23. TWRA linkMy dad stocked his 4 acre pond with these years ago - they help with algae and grasses, but don't eat water shield (lily pads)
  24. A dismal 55 - no good w/ left hand. Most high and right... Pietta .44 navy, carried openly in the left hand. (nothing kwik about it!) 139 grain .454 cal ball, over 24 grains Pyrodex P - cast 'em myself! Oh well, it was fun
  25. dl complete, thanx
