Is ‘Project Gunwalker’ about to bust wide open?
ttocswob replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Thanx to you also, Lester. As for 'Deep Throat' Kevin O'Rielly was sent to Iraq and is unavailable for comment; I also read a little while ago that Dan Repesto is similarly unavailable. The administration is in full CYA mode. -
:cry:IBTL...parting is such sweet sorrow.

Is ‘Project Gunwalker’ about to bust wide open?

A chain is only as strong as its weakest link - and that link, IMO, was the ATF. This has so far unraveled to implicate the FBI, DEA ICE, BP, U.S. Attorneys, DHS, DOJ, and is nipping at the heels of Hillary and the State Department. Nah, no conspiracy there. -
Don't discount a large capacity semi-auto .22 rifle as a home defense gun. Low recoil, limited penetration, and you might even retain your hearing.

Good choice, IMO

Talk about bad rep. Go ahead - you know you want to... Best thread since jeep monkey. Come to think of it...

Who needs Mapquest when you have TGO? :P -
I have this one, $27, like it. Top and side rails w/ quick release. From Centerfire Systems, and they have a couple of others.

What do YOU use to clean and oil your gun?
ttocswob replied to pattywak's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
RemOil if I only had one. And that's all I use on the wife's Berettas, mostly to keep it simple for her. After break-in on the .22, they both run 100%. Or WD40 for cleaning. Synthetic motor oil (Pennzoil) for point lube, rails, etc. and to oil for storage. Hoppe's #9 after Windex and water on the corrosive milsurp stuff and muzzleloaders. I've used gunscrubber, brake cleaner, carb cleaner for really dirty stuff, complete tear-downs. Wheel bearing grease for rails on the SKS/AK, sometimes CZ-82's. In short, it all works - just pick whichever best fits the particular gun/application. -
These are DAO vs. the SA/DA Beretta Bobcat, and reportedly have horrible triggers. They're also a little bit larger. Not to mention cheaper. And 8+1 vs. 7+1 capacity. I'd like to try out the polymer version sometime. (not firsthand, my research while evaluating the Beretta. TIFWIW)

Just wondering... why so much on zombies on gun boards?

Guess that red suit gets kinda hot. -
You snooze, you lose. And online can be even worse. I put a 'notify' on Davidson's Gallery of Guns if a particular lever action became available. Got the email a few days ago. :drool:I went through a few minutes of hand wringing, I can't afford this now, my wife's gonna kill me, etc. When I logged in, there were 4 left. Before I could get my card info entered, they were all gone. I've done it with C&R's too.

7.62 x 54r is usually 150 grain light ball or 180 grain heavy ball. Most 8mm Mauser is about 200 grain. Aim has Priv Partisan in both 54r and 8mm, about the same price. I have some of both. Aim had Romanian surplus for a long time, but not now. SOG has surplus Yugo, as does Sportsman's Guide.

Is ‘Project Gunwalker’ about to bust wide open?
ttocswob replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
IIRC, the prosecutor in the Manson case had serious reservations about going before a jury with an unprecedented and almost unbelievable conspiracy theory, even with strong evidence. The various investigators of gunwalker have a similar hurdle to overcome in the court of public opinion - most of whom remain blissfully ignorant of the whole sordid mess. Rep. Issa may have had this in mind when he coined the term "felony stupid." It's clear that Rep. Issa and Sen. Grassley have a strategy for the investigation; as the fact they held the "coverup email" until an appropriate time tends to confirm. The next hearings will include the House Judiciary committee as well as Oversight and Government reform. -

Thanx, good info. The results from commercial Wolf are eye-opening, to say the least. -
National Gun Rights Examiner In a nutshell, ATF authorized unnamed FFL's to transfer arms for cash to ATF Agent and whistleblower John Dodson without a form 4473, who in turn transferred same to gunrunners bound for Mexico. Proof established that this is NOT a "botched sting operation" but directly giving "aid and comfort to" the drug cartels. It is past time for an independent prosecutor - and remember the Dept. of inJustice is directly implicated in this scandal. Mike V. has suggested this approach: Additional info and hair raising story at Sipsey Street.

All them dang zombies ain't gonna kill they selves!
ttocswob replied to Caster's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Shot a zombie head target this afternoon - a dozen rounds of 9x18, a buncha .22, and 1 round of .357 mag for good measure...from my LCR OUCH! Bet the paper zombie even felt that one... -
Dispatched a feral cat from inside my back door with a single shot .22 CB. Wife was in the next room and didn't even know a shot was fired.

I own several guitars, and a couple of banjos - I am probably a felon - just not (yet) a convicted one. I traded my one and only Gibson awhile back, FYI. Oops, now I'm a trafficker in illegal wood. When they eventually catch up with my twang, should I lose my gun rights over it? The term "felon" is degraded by onerous laws on the books, to the point that is has no real meaning. If there is no element of violence to the crime, there should be no loss of rights. And anyone deemed to dangerous to carry a gun is too dangerous to be out, period.

From Sipsey Street Irregulars: Agent Jeff Ryan of the BATFE - LA Field Division commits suicide. He had an EEOC case with whistleblower implications. This is apparently not related to Gunwalker, but is indicative of the workplace environment within the bureau.

Took me longer than that just to get the blank forms from ATF , back in the good ol' days of 2009.
