Poorly worded, but here it is: We the People
we petition the obama administration to: Peacefully grant the State of Tennessee to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government. Helping the people of Tennessee.
As with previous White House petitions, requires registration. It's not as if they don't know where to find me (or so they think.) Daily Caller says 20 states with similar petitions, som of them well written. Sometime back in the early 80's I saw an old man walking across the Church Street viaduct in Nashville. Unzipped, whipped it out and whizzed - never even broke stride. It was a dark suit, though.

What now? The day after, I called the tv satellite company and cancelled. Not one more cent for the lamestream media's obamaganda. That's not all that's getting cut, either. We're entering post apocalyptic survival mode here.

I've had a running battle with the dam beavers (you know, the kind that build dams) for the past year. They keep trying to dam up the spillway on my father's pond. I guess 4 acres of pond isn't enough! I shot one, after that they went nocturnal. So I finally put in a battery powered electric fencer, with fence wire about 3 inches off the water. Working so far, except once when I let the batteries run down.

Biden was selected for his current post, solely as life insurance. And as for the debate: who is everybody talking about today? Mission accomplished!

With respect to law, it is different. "Strict scrutiny" has legal significance, whereas "a view" does not. While not ideal, this is at least a step in the right direction in LA. Concerning rights: As a gift from my Creator, I have the right to bear arms, an extension of my right to life, and to defend same. This right can neither be granted or restricted by government. It can only be violated. Governments and other thugs may have power to take my life, they cannot take my right.

? I don't know a lot first hand about the various AK's and components. I have a complete WASR with M4-ish furniture from Classic Arms, a Romanian parts kit from Centerfire Systems, and a few miscellaneous parts; for spares and for a 'someday' project. That said, my Radom receiver is shiny new steel, no marks of imperfections, nice and solid. Has magwell cuts and dimples, also cuts for trigger and grip, and is pre-folded. Needs rails, holes drilled, metallurgy, etc. Good buy, IMO.

Update: It appears that Dead Patriot has met their kickstarter fundraising goal for the film Assaulted; this despite their false start here at TGO.

I carry my P-64 regularly. My CZ-82 is usually in the nightstand, or in the car. Both are reliable and accurate. The P-64 carries well IWB. Hornady is available in XTP's and Critical Defense. Haven't fired the CD, but did some chrono and penetration tests aith XTP's vs Silver Bear HP. Both were a little over 1000 fps, SB a little bit faster. Penetration about equal, but SB jacket separated from core, while the XTP's were intact.

Related: I obtained a Reloader's Guide from Alliant last year (download PDF, or they mail a print version for free!) It has safe storage info reprinted from NPFA Explosive Material Code, National Fire Prevention Association. It's very specific as to amounts, storage cabined requirements, etc. Unsure if this has force of law, but might be a good idea to follow for liability reasons.

Of course then it would be a firearm, and you'd have to transfer thru a FFL... As usual, Sportsman's Guide description is somewhat cryptic. Still, I'll only need a decent barrel, compliance parts, and time....lotsa time.

Wandering aimlessly along roadsides picking up wheel weights. -
FYI - Just ordered one of these to complete my parts kit. I may actually build one someday. Folded (catalog says machined?!) not drilled. Cheap, too! Edit to add: Sportsman's Guide 2012 Fall Shooting Supplies catalog. Probably belongs in "Gunsmithing" - mods, do with as you will.

Oh Noes - now Joisey will make guns even more illegaler...

Purchasing a firearm from a company (NOT a dealer)
ttocswob replied to CapnVideo's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
Ditto #15 - You must log any C&R gun in your bound book, regardless of who else is involved in the transaction. The transaction is then "on the books" just as any other FFL purchase. Involving another FFL is redundant and unnecessary. A copy of you C&R and a bill of sale/receipt should be more than enough documentation for the seller. Or, simply record your license number on the bill of sale. FFL's dont usually provide a copy of their license to non-FFL's.
