  1. One important detail:     Looks like Diamondback kept Mr. Kelly from committing a felony.
  2. Case lube is for initial sizing of cases, and should be removed before seating bullets. For straight wall pistol, new nickel cases shouldn't need lube at all. New cases should be sized to be sure they're in spec.
  3. The range of some of my Golden Bullets varies depending on how far you can throw 'em.
  4. Sent - at least it's another opportunity to tell them, "I will not comply."
  5.   agreed...on both counts.
  6. What I was implying is that It ain't 1994 anymore. At some point, you just have to let it go...
  7. We all know about Magpul, but that's just the start.   Outdoor Channel programming changes, from Michael Bane:   But that's not all. A few posts prior, Bane was concerned about competitions already under contract, including the Ruger Rimfire Challenge Worlds Championship   Well, Ruger came through:     Hats off to Ruger! And may Bill rest in peace.   Edited to add: From Ruger schedule page (scroll down):
  8. Link to tell Colorado why you won't be visiting: Colorado Tourism Office
  9. Jamestown has the same sign: 3 box limit/1 per caliber, per day. Trend?
  10. I remember some of those - my first shooting was in 1970, using Federal Hi-Power .22 long in the red box.
  11. I picked up a fiddle a few years ago, and tried playing it. My wife gave it away...
  12.   I'm with you. Ruger LCR .357 in a Blackhawk Speed Classic holster, 5 - 125g Golden Sabers. 10 more in speed strips. No worries.   But just in case, there's a KelTec P32 in my pocket :)
  13. Should be able to pull one bullet with pliers, unless you used a heavy roll crimp.. I've put a cartridge in the press, no die, grasped the bullet from the top with pliers, and used the ram to pull the case off the bullet. If you pad the plier jaws with tape, you might even salvage the bullet.   Don't even try to prim a loaded case, unless you want to live in infamy on You Tube!
  14. Jamestown Wally had 9mm in 100ct WWB (2) and 50ct Federal (several) yesterday.   I left it for the needy.
  15. Unlikely to chamber - the base diameter for 9x19 9x18 is .392 vs..374 for the .380   But the extra 1mm of case length should be obvious - are you sure it's not european .380, labeled as 9mm Kurz?     Edit: oops I typoed 9x19, now fixed, other info is correct per Hornady 9th; thanx roverboy.
  16. The Michael Bane Blog has more info on Colorado and the Outdoor Chanel, he hosts a show there.   Read the first few posts. Each casual conversation this guy has costs Colorado millions.
  17. A little more backstory from Bob Owens:   Also links to the Gallery of Guns page, you can ask to be notified when available - NVM: I signed up when first listed - don't know if I'm still on the list to be notified or not.     Edited to add: Yikes! A search for all .22LR rifles in stock only returns 6! A H&R, two Citadel M-1 Carbine, the rest are Savage. And the have a bunch of the Legacy/Chippa/Citadel, must be really bad.
  18. To get a bucket o' gold, I thought you had to find the end of the rainbow first...
  19. A little more info for comparison purposes. SN Snub Nose (LCR or Mdl 36) DW = Dan Wesson 6" HR = Handi Rifle 18.5"   .357 Magnum, 158g SWC, 6 grain of Unique: DW = 1026 fps  HR = 1278 fps.   .38 Special 128g LRN, 4.3g Bullseye: SN = 776  DW = 880 HR = 1108   And some factory ammo:   .357 Magnum Fiocchi 158g XTP  SN = 1033 DW = 1171  HR = 1496   VS. Hornady 158g XTP: DW = 1265 HR = 1655 (Yes the Hornady brand is considerably hotter.)   I've not shot my Rossi 16" much with the chronograph, but the velocities I've checked were less than 50 fps below the 18.5" H&R.   Generally I gain about 25% - 30% in the rifle vs. the 6" revolver. And I've yet to have any significant leading problems using Alox, with or without JPW. YMMV
  20. What kind of problems?   Most Winchester .22's I've shot in recent years had loose bullets; could be twisted by hand, but they all went bang - more than I can say for Remington Golden Bullet.   Good luck using that voucher...guess they still have Winchester branded earplugs and such.
  21. FWIW - I've run Caster's load except without gas checks, Lee 158g tumble-lube WC, lubed with thinned Alox. Averaged 1599 FPS and no leading in my 18.5" Handi Rifle. Lube is the key. IMO, YMMV
  22.   Didn't he verify his original intent when he filled out the 4473?   A felony, which I'm sure they'll prosecute, just like David Gregory.
  23. Done. I've wasted mouse clicks for lesser reasons.   IMO the only thing accomplished is that the anti's have to bury the poll, rather than crowing over an anti-gun win.
