  1. For those that are going or have been, are there any P-3at's or LCP's? Won't be able to go until Sunday afternoon at the earliest, but not sure it is going to be worth my time if there are not any of them to be found.
  2. Yeah, I know but got caught up in the moment and have done several FTF so it didn't occur to me that he wouldn't be willing tomeet, until I asked if he would be willing to meet North of Nashville for the FTF and he threw in the "sure be willing to meet at a dealer". So it is my fault, and I did make the bid, and i will go through with the sale if I win, just kinda hate the extra hassle. Oh well at least he will meet me close to home.
  3. Well, this is the last response I got after sending the ATF link and trying my best to explain. "For it to be on federal record that I sold this gun to you, you/we will need to go through a licensed FFL, since they are required to send the notice of transfer to the gov't for their records. I realize for legal purposes this does not need to happen, however, I do not want to keep up with a 'bill of sale' between us so in the future, if need be, I have to prove that the gun is no longer in my possession & responsibility. Sorry if this is an inconvenience. I can meet you at Guns & Leather and your guy can do the transaction so we can both have a copy of the transaction. thank you" It is an auction that I am winning right now, but now I kinda hope someone outbids me. I guess it's true some people just won't believe the truth even when smacked in the face with it.
  4. Aha, gracias. Maybe this will convince them. thanks again
  5. Not sure if this is the right place, so mods feel free to move to the appropriate forum. I know it is legal to sell FTF without a FFL, but can someone point out the actual law. I am trying to convince someone that it is not necessary to involve a FFL in a transfer but they are hesitant, because they " don't want the gun still registered in their name" they don't believe the 4473 they filled out is not a registration. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  6. Bud's had some 2 tone PD trade ins for $449.
  7. Real brave, didn't want her name published.
  8. Thanks for the tips guys, I forgot all about the Game stop stores.
  9. Anybody seen one in stock in a Nashville area store? I have been checking and can't find any, or I "just missed the last one". Or should have some on the next truck... yada yada. So anybody got any leads?
  10. I paid $20 a mag and I supplied the mags, and they were shipped on a Monday ans I got them back that Saturday.
  11. Here is a link to the story on my mags and some pics. http://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?p=1923423
  12. Yeah, I had a guy on one of the forums do 2 of mine that way. Turned out great and is definitely an improvement to the concealability. If you are wanting to have it done, i can get his info and send it to you. Just send me an email if you are interested.
  13. That is correct, you would have to have the handgun shipped to a FFl in TN.
  14. Sig 228, I'm going with hour and a half.
  15. Went this morning. Touch screens for me
  16. No, well I did get my original grips back, but no new ones. After having the grips for a month, they sent them back with a note saying they couldn't do it. Kind of ticked me off, he was so sure he could do it, and then nothing. No communication after he got the grips other than to say he received the grips and MO. So, I have sent an email to LAZZA about some of his grips. But on the bright side I got a fabulous holster for it.
  17. Ditto on Davidson's grips. I sent my EMP grips to Linville Knife and Tool so they can make me some of their grips for a little something different. http://www.linvilleknifeandtool.com/
  18. Well here they are, #1 and #2
  19. Truer words have never been spoken.
  20. Yeah, that was kinda what we had in mind. But I wasn't given that option! When it was time to start pushing, it was just me and the nurse and there were 2 legs to be held. So I figured i would just be helping out until the reinforcements came in, but apparently that was my JOB. Anyway the nightmares and cold sweats have started to subside and I have finally stopped with the dry heaves. but seriously, I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
  21. Wow, that is my situation exactly. My oldest are 16 and 12. Hey, in case you don't already know, A LOT HAS CHANGED with the labor and delivery process. I got to see more than any man that doesn't have a MD behind his name should ever see!!!
  22. Will be coming shortly, I am back at the hospital and Mama and the baby are due to come home today. The upper part of my SBR is at my bro in law's, to be legal, but he is coming over this afternoon when we get home with the baby, and I am going to have him bring it with him. So maybe tonight or definitely by tomorrow. Is this your first baby Tung?
  23. So I go to check the mail this evening after getting home from the hospital where my wife is resting with our newborn son (number 1 of the best week ever). A happy and healthy 8 lb. even 20 1/2 inch long precious little boy. And as I am flipping thru the credit apps and the H.G. Hill ad and the car extended warranty crap, U.S. Department of Justice Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, but in a white envelope. What no blue envelope, what's wrong? what did I forget? Dammit. So I frantically tear open the envelope and lo and behold.....(number 2 of the best week ever)
  24. Whoohoo, just called the WV office and I went pending on August the 18th. She said should be approved any day now. Happy dance
