  1. Is there a recommended mileage interval, or just when they start squeaking? Its a 08 Silverado if that matters.
  2. So there is this kid who has been posting in a group I belong to on FB about wanting to get into 3 gun and needing sponsors. He was born without hands. Here is a link to one of his videos. https://www.facebook.com/groups/173086389466171/permalink/423564961084978/ Just thought I would put it out there for anyone that might have a connection.
  3. Just a FYI, make sure you pull the safety plunger and spring with the safety. Without the safety, it can dislodge and tie up your sear housing. And be careful with that little spring, it sure can fly.
  4. Okay you guys have me freaked out. I had never had a vehicle long enough to worry about it before now. I have a 5 yr old Chevy with 69k on it and just last week when getting the oil changed the guy commented on my tranny fluid being a little dark and Chevy recommending a change every 50k. I was kinda planning on changing it next time I had an oil change, but with all the stories of them going bad soon after, now I am thinking if it ain't broke.......
  5. Just a thought, but you could call S&W customer service and explain the situation, they may have an upgrade service or something that would be cheaper than selling and rebuying. Or maybe their custom shop actually offers the service of cutting the holes and adding a safety?
  6. I know that they can purchase through a FFL with their station papers in whichever state they are in, but not sure about a FTF transaction. If they are willing to pay for the transfer or split it with you or if you are willing to foot the bill, you could go to a local FFL dealer and transfer to be sure.
  7. Here is a pretty good shot of the two holes, so you can see for sure. It is on the FDE frame, but it shows better than the black one. The pic is a little way down the page. Note the square frame plugs just slightly ahead of the lock hole and back from the slide release. https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&docid=GOt2zo1LmJd6-M&tbnid=aAee_XuVG8yXoM:&ved=0CAUQjRw&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ar15.com%2Farchive%2Ftopic.html%3Fb%3D5%26f%3D16%26t%3D109501&ei=5w6NUai4GIqo8QTd4oGgBg&bvm=bv.46340616,d.eWU&psig=AFQjCNEz4yzTyjYbpczo5OTS6kdb5S4TJQ&ust=1368285268345649   And this for a really good look. http://modernserviceweapons.com/?p=1938
  8. Yes without the square hole you are not going to make that frame a safety one without some serious gunsmithing, unless you can find someone to trade frames with. How old is the gun? Pretty much any made in the last 4 years or so should have the cutouts though.
  9. This http://www.speedshooterspecialties.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=103_90_115&products_id=883 and this http://www.speedshooterspecialties.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=103_90_115&products_id=1188 will be all you need.  And that arrow that you see is most likely the lock hole. I have not seen any frames with an arrow for the safety, unless it is a really new addition.
  10. As long as you have the frame cut outs you shoupd have the safety block as well, all you need is the safety, plunger, and spring. 5 minute job if you can find the parts. I just did the swap with a member here last week. He wanted one I didnt, worked well for both of us.
  11. A true Gen 1 Glock 19.
  12. Very good choice is that the lightweight model? I used to have one of those, very sweet, but never could find a holster (I liked) made for it.
  13. I worked with a man and he and his wife were foster parents that eventually adopted one of the children, truly one of those horribly sad cases parents both druggies dad killed mom left little girl with no one. This couple took her and went theu the adoption process, last I heard she was attending UT majoring in law. Anyway back to your question, he had a shotgun and .22 rifle and while they didn't expressly say he couldn't have them, he told me he got the vibe that if they were not in the home it would be better. Of course tey were being foster parents to a lot of troubled kids and such so that may play a bigger part than a straight adoption. However after they actually adopted, I know he did buy ashotgun.
  14. Does anyone know if you can use a Verizon Iphone with Straight Talk?
  15. I wanna say it was Rogue or similar. Dont remember the channel though, but it wasnt a normal Fox CBS type.
  16. Of course unless that is in defense of the woman, because I sure as hell would give or take a life for my wife, daughter, mother, or sister.
  17. Come on guys, this is not gossip central, let's take this for what it was a horrible event and not some love triangle gone bad. The article says she works for a firearms manufacturer, maybe she is in pr, and they were smoozing Rodriguez to put his name on a hunting rifle or an endirsement deal? A little unusual to be at a residence, but maybe they were trying the homey feel. In any case, 3 children have lost their fathers over this. And regardless of if it was a mistaken jealous rage, or legit jealousy, no woman is worth your life or anyone else's.
  18. Did he get his at Academy? If not where and how much?
  19. I tried a search here, only got a HD gun thread from 2011. Maybe I listed too much info in the search.
  20. Saw this advertised on Academy's site, looking for one I can abuse and store and not care that much about it. Anybody have one or know anything about them? Looking for any info, all I can find with a google search is mixed reviews and it's a 870 copy.
  21. Benchmade Mini Griptilian 556s for the last decade or so. Damn near indestructible, but got an extra 2 just in case. And for $5 you can send itback for sharpening and freshening up.
  22. it was the guy that played T-dog. I read an article right after his demise that had a blurb about Hines doing a guest role at his urging.
  23. Not exactly local, but if you want to ship the slide and sights to me, I will do it for cost of return shipping.
  24. Where are you located?
  25. Umm. Gives whole new meaning to br"ass" to the face.
