  1. Thats why I have been calling BS, but when Mikey posted I thought maybe he had an nside track. Mikey you cant be messing with my emotions like that man.
  2. I carry all of mine in a Ozarks hybrd IWB. $50 lifetimr guarantee and delivery in about a week. Just curious what'd it run ya and where did you get it? Thinking about one for my wife.
  3. Mikey where did that come from? That's the third time I have seen it and have called BS until this time and only because you posted it. Is it legit? Or a photoshop?
  4. I am interested in a bobtail also, but a friend that had one has warned me off it. He says it changes the feel of the gun and just doesnt feel like a 1911 anymore. My plan before I actually do one is to find one and at the minimum see what it feels like in the hand and if possibke put a few rounds thru one. As far as doing it to a Ltwt Colt, eh some purists will crucify you, but if it is done right I dont see the problem.
  5. I always use Accu Tint on Conference Dr in Rivergate. Not sure on cost, but the last I had done was 2 fronts and a windshield stripe on a Silverado and it was about $75.
  6. Anyone in the Nashville area any shops in the Nashville area sale Powder River Percision spring kids specifically for the X DS?
  7. It is my understanding that the Tenifer is not the coating on a Glock. It is a clear, metal impregnation process that hardens the steel. Kinda like a teflon coating that marries with the steel on a molecular level, and to remove it you would actually have to remove some metal. I COULD BE COMPLETELY WRONG AND MISINFORMED, but I believe that is the way the Tenifer process works. So you should be able to have it blasted and coated in whatever finish you would like and still have the Tenifer intact. Maroon if you are looking for a refinisher, there is a guy I have sent some to from another forum and he does a excellent job for $50 and about a week turnaround time.
  8. Get the Tango Down Vickers extended mag release if you are gonna replace it, much better than the OEM extended.
  9. It's on channel 2 WKRN in Nashville at 3. Got my DVR set for Thursday.
  10. 19 and 26 now, 17 and 34 in the past and never a problem with any.
  11. The following is pure speculation on my part and has no basis in fact, other than I had a very vindictive ex (nothing as serious as this). But this is how my muddled mind is thinking. The initial charge was about 3 weeks ago, which proved to be unfounded, pissing off ex even more. Fast forward 3 weeks, during which time ex (assuming they have joint custody) has had at least one weekend of visitation with impressionable child, who wants both mama and daddy to love her, and convinces child to reinstate charges maybe even add new ones and reports to a differnent agency this time. Hence the new arrest. Now mind you that is pure theory, and that being said if he actually did it I hope he gets passed around the yard like a doorknob and wveryone takes a turn.
  12. I have recently, within the last two weeks, stopped receiving email notifications of private messages and replies to topics I am following. Is there something I need to update in my settings? I have not changed anything in the settings or my email address. Thanks
  13. The wife has been getting free changes on her Camry until now and she is due one, my question is should I stick with the synthetic at $50 or is the synthetc blend just as good at $35? Should I just pocket the extra $15 or is it worth the extra money to have the full synth change? I have been doing the blend in my Chevy for several years now and see no ill affects, but it is about 5 years older than hers and not sure if I should stick with the full or if changing her to the blend would be okay.
  14. I know Glock used to upgrade 2nd gen frames to 3rd, anyone know if they still do this? What the cost? I've got a second gen 19 that I got cheap that was a police trade and had had some trigger guard wirk done. It is fine the way it is, but thought if it wasn't too expensive I might get a rail for it.
  15. I saw that, and thanks for the heada up, but I picked one up a while back from one of our well respected members here. he saw this thread back when I started it and we worked a deal not long after that. Wish I had the cash for another one right now, butbit's not looking good.
  16. There is only a single pin in the grip safety that denotes the post recall guns. Has nothing to do with pins in the trigger.
  17. They are nice, I have one and a Shield which essential fills the same platform, but for some reason can't bring myseld to choose one over the other and just sell one, so I keep them both.
  18. Meant to add the front is tritium surrounded by orange ring.
  19. I have a Ameriglo Proglo front sight, similar to Trijicon HD, and a 10-8 rear.

  23. I had one for a week, shot 50 rounds thru it and it work good, was a neat little piece but didnt do anything my Shield or XDs didnt do.
  24. This. I've dry fired the hell out of mine and it has really smoothed out, not as nice as prerecall, but definitely an improvement.
