I have a short brl Mossy Mdl 500 pump in 12 Ga with the extended magazine for my house shotgun. Had a MDL 500 20 Ga with the 18 1/2 brl and ordered a 26" brl for it from Mosberg and gave it to my grandson to duck hunt with. Winchester Bismuth 4's make it a little mightier in the duck game. Saw the same gun patterned today on TV with the same load, and it was deadly at 25 yards. If a duck gets through that pattern, it borders on being a miracle. If it don't fall, the shooter just missed. Edited to add; How many of you shotgunners pattern your shotguns?

Man called and they will be here at 10 Monday morning to start my project. Said they should be able to pour it in 1 day. My wife is ready.

I use the Murfreesboro store often. Recently purchased a Hellcat, for daughter, and S W 686 from Outpost last year. Year before a Ruger Max 9 and AR 15, Springfield Armory Saint. Some ammo. They are helpful.

I will stick with tried and true S W. Purchased a 3" 686 + last year. 7 rounds of 357 or 38 Spl can't be beat IMO!

Got my ammo in today. UPS just brought it. This ammo is rated at 967 fps at 25 yards and is a 147 gr 9 MM bullett. Watched crono test, on SG site, where this ammo was running averaging 1025 fps at 10 ft out of a 4.25 inch brl Glock. Hot stuff for factory loaded ammo. Not bad price for SD ammo. Got a story in the new Guns and Ammo magazine saying we are about to undergo a powder shortage in the US.

Went to my gun range, in the back yard, and I have 2 trees that have blown down on it. I was able to shoot around them while shooting my Taurus TX 22 C. Shot 80 rounds and was run in by the rain and mosquitos. I just can't get out when the sun is not bright. Them darn things eat me up. I had 1 failure as I was limp writing when a mosquito was biting my little finger. The pistol is great guys.

I use a modified Nemesis for my EDC. Have for years.

I found a belt maker, next to the Old Mill, in Pigeon Forge and I have 2 of his 1.5 gun belts, black and brown. Well satisfied with both. Plan to purchase another 1.5 black when we go there this fall. Also have 2 1.5 black of Beltmans that I have used for years and still holding up. Can't beat a good gun belt.

I have decided to not purchase a Green or Red Dot sight. I am just not sure I would benefit from the purchase of the dot sight as I am mainly using my EDC for defensive purposes only. Thanks for the replies and advice guys.

Just ordered 500 rounds of Winchester high pressure(+P) 147 Gr HP S D ammo from SG ammo for 249.00 + Tax. Most Self Defense ammo is around 90 cents per round while this is .50 cents per round. Thought it was a good deal. I favor heavier bullets.

Agree with you Defender, but it is extremely hard to truly know, for sure, if a party being fired upon is truly an innocent party and in need of help this day in time. If one is sure then help, but you had better be 100% positive. There are so many plain clothed cops, security officers, and on and on. Getting involved in others problems has a lot of danger connected to it. "Must" be doubly sure of innocence!

Deerslayer, you hit the nail on the head. My use for handguns is only for self-defense. It is my worry that if I spend money for a good dot sight it really will be useless for me with considering mission. That is why I posted this thread.

Purchased some patches to attach behind our ears for motion sickness. We should be ok for the trip and the ship wave rolling while at sea. Friend went 2 weeks ago and said he got sick the first night out at sea, so he cautioned us. I can't take much motion myself these days. Looking forward to getting on the ship but the 5 1/2 hr plane trip to Seattle is a bugger. On blood thinners so I am hoping for no blood clots. Wife says I need to wear tet-hose to keep legs from getting clots, so I guess I will be wearing heavy stockings guys! Cain't wait for that???

Frog, we will be going on 4 big excursions inland. Visiting Juno, Ketchikan, and Skagway in Alaska. Also visiting Victoria in Canada. Our plan is to enjoy this trip.

After a heart attack my heart output had dropped to 30% and I was in heart failure. I started Cardiac Rehab at the St Thomas Hospital here in Murfreesboro. After 20 visits they retested me again on the 2 of July. My Ejection Fraction had gone up to 65% and I am no longer in heart failure. As matter of fact, my heart output percentage is 5 % better than it was before I had the attack. My Cardiologist said he had a hard time believing the results, since my windowmaker was 100% blocked by the blood clot. He looked over the results of the test 4 times. He said he could only find a very small place on the very back wall of my heart where my heart muscle shows minimal damage, and it was so small and where it is located should be in-sequential to my wellbeing in the future. THANK YOU GOD!!!!! My wife and I are celebrating my recovery by going on our first cruise. We will be sailing from Seattle to Southern Alaska and Canada. Guys I dodged a "BIG Bullet" here. Have you ever sailed on a cruise ship? I don't drink, don't gamble, and can't eat much, however will be exploring South Alaska sight-seeing just for the fun of it. Two of our four daughters, and their families, will be going with us. Life is good, again. Thank you "Father."

The 22WMR will surprise you because of the added power. Long story short, I stoved-piped a 90 pound Red Bone Hound, a few years back, that was killing baby calves on a rented farm near town. Hit him right under his head, in the chest, as he was charging at me. Shot him with a 22 mag and it cleaned him out. Surprise, Surprise

Moped yes, I have a Ruger Max 9. I pocket carry the pistol. If I affix a Red Dot to it is questionable if I can still pocket carry it. My thought is if I need to go to IWB carry I would choose one of my MP 9 MM 2.0's. They have slightly longer Brl and hold 15+1 rounds. From what everyone is saying the dots that come with most pistols are substandard or cheepies. I really like the MP's but are not able to pocket carry because of size. Even purchased the single stack MP 9 MM EZ and it is also too large for pocket carry, however very easy to rack the slide. This will be my arthritis choice if/when it gets much worse.

I was interested in looking at what they had in Pistols with a red dot already combined. Only found 2, one was a "Rose" with Lea Mccullick name attached to it. Supposedly she endorses the 9 Mm Rose. It had a red dot and was 1100.00 plus Tax. Also looked at a Springfield Armory Hellcat w/red dot for *800.00+. What is your thoughts on Red Dot sights? I have never purchased one.
