The Bible talks about this subject in Judges. The main theme is in the last verse of chapter 21. (judges 21:25) "In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes." Just won't work guys. There simply must be laws and the GOVERNMENT is set up to punish those who do not obey them. They recently arrested 3 of the smash and grab guys in New York City and Mayor DeBlasio ordered no incarceration for non-violent thugs, so the 3, they were on the street in an hour. Defund the Police. No incarceration. No harsh laws for crooks. Politicians in major Democratic led cities(no king in Israel) will not allow the arm of the law to be used these days. People do what they think is right in their own eyes. Really simple guys. We now have Cáos in our society. Like it or not, you guys are not reading the right books, or you would know what is going on.

I had a Marlin 336 30 30 with a scope and gave it to my grandson. I looked for years trying to find a good used 38/357 lever gun and finally about 8 years ago just bit the bullet and purchased a new Henry Big Boy. My Rifle has the brass chamber on it with the hex heavy brl. I think I had to pay 695.00 + tax for it and have never looked back. That was high at the time. I never found that used one in any shape. I looked for 10 years around Cookville, Nashville, Laverne, Smyrna, and M "Boro". Good luck with your hunting.

My son in law brought a used PM 30, 22 Magnum pistol over for me to shoot. It has two mags that hold 30 and is very light. This one has a 200.00(??) upgrade to a steel brl, trigger, and slide. The pistol is comfortable and has an ambi 1911 style safety on the rear. I took it out and fired 39 rounds through it from two different magazines with 2 brands of 22 mag ammo. One brand was CCI 22 WMR Maxi Mag HP. The other brand just had a C on the end and was RN and I am not sure of the brand but was somewhat hotter than the CCI I had on hand. The pistol was really accurate and shot to the aim. It sights had 3 light gathering tubes, 2 on back red, and one in front florescent green. Out of my very limited firing the gun would not run consistently. It failed to cycle 10 times out of 39 shots. The next round went above the chamber opening every time in the same manner. I am going to tell him thumbs down. The guy wants 400.00 for it and I don't think it is worth it. Ammo is too expensive to plink with and it goes along with many reports I have seen involving a PM 30. Many have posted some are unreliable. I know that is not enough rounds, but 22 mag ammo is too costly to waste on this gun, IMO. Don't take me wrong, I really am a fan of 22 magnum guns, but just not this one. I have a 22 mag revolver that goes bang ever time. Also have a Marlin 22 Mag bolt fed rifle. I just don't like to purchase guns that needs work right out of the gate.

Well, I was sitting in my Lazy Boy and seen the temp was 70 so I decided to go out in my back yard and do some practice. Man, I have missed my regular practice I once did (100 rounds per outing). I would shoot every 2 weeks when I could purchase unlimited ammo. Since the ammo shortage, I have only been practicing about once a month (50 Rounds). I sure can tell a difference. I shot 100 rounds today. My MP 9MM pistol and 38 Spl revolver was used. Fifty rounds through each one. My hand has softened up, and my arm got a little fatigued. I drew every shot from my Pocket(revolver) and fired without cocking the hammer, then with the pistol from IWB draw and single shot every time. The web of my hand also got a little irritated because the MP has quite rough stippling on the grip. I had a great outing but know I need to shoot more than once per month 50 rounds. We supposed to have a good next 6 days so I am going to try and get out next week and bust another 100 rounds. I have a hard time firing 50 or 60 dollars of ammo a week now. Retirement will not allow me to do that so I am just going to need to take my chances with more deliberate practice with fewer rounds. I concentrated on my draw stroke and sending, off hand, ever round I sent down range today. Could keep all rounds on 8" plate, from standing at 21 ft, but had some trouble with keeping all on the 4" steel. That is what lack of constant practice will do for one. Hope you guys had a good day. I sure did.

10-ring, if they would have caught him, after he damaged the vehicle, most likely they would not do anything to him of substance. Why most of them are doing it. They have films of the smash and grab people, but not doing anything to them that I have seen.

Hope all of you have a good Christmas day.

I have a Diamondback, in 38 Spl, with a 2 1/4" brl. Purchased it at a flea Market years ago. I think I paid $125.00 for it. Looks almost new so it may have been re-blued which really hurts the value of it. Still, it is a beautiful 6 shot revolver.

My wife and I had Christmas Eve late night visitors last year. That is why I got a Driveway Alarm and installed it in the middle of our driveway. My wife loves the thing and so do I. The dog has recognized when the thing sounds someone is coming and she goes wild which adds to the alarm effect. No more porch pirates because the alarm calls us when deliveries or Mail come in the drive. I also keep my vehicles locked with nothing visible inside the truck or autos. Also, house is lit up very well outside now. Will leave extra lights on tonight.

We are having many reports of thugs trying to get into parked cars in home driveways, looking to steal what is in them. Being caught and filmed on Ring Doorbells and Home Security Cameras and posted on our neighborhood watch face book page. Never seen so many black hoodies. Don't hide your presents or leave anything valuable in your cars parked outside in your driveways.

My Son-in-law's dad went to the Dr yesterday. On the way back home he smelled diesel fuel and pulled over. Exited the truck and fuel was pouring out under his brand new 89,000.00 GMC truck. SNL went to get him, crawled up under the truck and squirrels had chewed the fuel line off just above the tank. He took it to the dealer and of course his deductible is 1500.00. It will cost him 1500. to get it repaired. Squirrels got me 3 times 2 years ago and once this year. I spent over 2,000. getting my car, truck and RV repaired. I called TWRA and they told me I could kill them "if they were a nuisance." Said I could not eat them unless it was hunting season, but just feed them to the varmints. "I got some fat varmints." I have thinned them out in my neighborhood in the last year. Killed 2 today. They were totally overpopulated around here. My wife will not eat squirrels because of the scare from several years back. People contracted some kind of disease from eating their brains. She will not touch them. Have a friend who has put 4 wiring harnesses in his truck in the past 3 years because of the same reason. He will not shoot them. Little rascals can do some serious damage. Ford charged him over 2500.00 each time. I think his homeowners insurance paid for them. Told him, this last time, they would not pay if he has another claim for truck wiring. He cleaned out his garage and is parking in the garage with door closed now.

When women are involved, it is mostly never a casual conversation between 2 men. Shouldn't have gone there.

My Gen 3 19 Glock, when only using WWB practice ammo, will fling one to the face every now and then. When using full power ammo it has never sent a spent casing back toward my face. The Winchester White Box ammo is downloaded for practice.

Store all my ammo in 50 cal ammo cans. Have some factory ammo that is 25 years old and it fires fine. The cans are in a closet, and safe, and 72 in house year round. Never had a problem with old ammo except for some 40 YO 22 Lr I inherited from my dad. I had Rem thunderbolt that was new that had several FTF rounds in the boxes, but that was not caused by storage. Just sorry quality ammo.

I don't frequent Wal Mart as much as I once did. Kinda soured me over their attitude on the ammo and gun thing.

I don't consider my Mdl 19 Gen 5 9MM a pig, but people love to hate on Glocks. I say how can one argue with total success of a brand of gun. More Glocks on the street than just about any other brand, and yes, I know they are ugly. My EDC is a Taurus 7 shot snubby in 38/357 in strong side pocket, but I like pistols too! My second gun is a SW 9MM MP 2.0 IWB. Just going to Kroger, after dark, on Lascassas Hwy, and one feels he may need 2. I don't do that any longer. Friend was there on Monday and 3 were duking it out in broad daylight and it was 2 on 1. He and a woman tried to break it up and he was hit in the face by a 17 YO punk. Intervention hurts sometimes.

Got a sale post from Outpost Armory in Murfreesboro today. They have 9MM practice Blazer Brass 115 Gr RN ammo for 19.99 for 50. Best I have seen in a while.

Just purchased a new in box model 19 gen 5 9MM from Outpost Armory and paid 460.00 plus tax and $10 background check. Got a deal because I am a veteran. Had to show my DD 214. Saved me a bunch. Get-ch-ye-some!

Just come from my Pulmonologist. Had full blown breathing test. I have COPD/Asthma and have been treated for it for years now. My test results were great, and they even did the two squirts of albuterol then blow into the tube part of the test. My numbers went from 75 to 79 in 4 minutes after the 2 puffs on the buterol. Greyfox, seriously take the 2 hits on the buteroal canister before starting the walk. Test showed it helped me this morning. The tester said, if she could have waited the full 10 minutes, my numbers would have been up another 5 points, at the least, so it really helps. Guys about the only way to get the weight off is not put it into the mouth to start with. I went through a period, a year of riding bikes 50 miles per week, every week. Never lost a pound that I could say bike riding helped in weight loss. Just didn't work for me. Have a treadmill and have walked 2 miles a day, for years, except when knees would not allow. Helped with blood sugar levels, but not to loose weight. It takes less food in, better choices of healthier food (low carbs), and exercise to get it off. Then one must work to keep it off.

No damage for us in Lascassas TN (8 mi east of M'boro). Slept through it. Prayers for all adversely affected. My church took supplies to Mayfield and plan more. I volunteered my truck and 20 ft trailer for next trip.

I am diabetic and Dr's changed my meds and put me on Ozempic. It killed my appetite. Lost 28# recently but lost the other by hard work and cutting down on what I eat, and eating better choices (Low Carb) tnhawk. My A1C was 5.9 (Dr wants it 6.5 or less) today. Just came from the VA Dr visit. Weight loss is the hardest thing for a diabetic to accomplish. Carbs go straight to fat. When I was 295 (18 months ago) I was miserable and decided to get it off. Takes a committed change of direction to get it off and keep it off. Edited t add; even got some side benefit, my bad right knee pain has eased up somewhat.

I have lost enough weight that I can now wear an IWB holster in front of my strong side hip, comfortably at the 1:00 to 2:00 "o clock" position, and draw it easily. Lost a lot of my spare tire. And guys that is a good thing for me. Am planning to wear it to church WED night to see how sitting for a period of time feels, then if that works out will need to practice the draw stork now to ingrain the feel in my memory with my new presentation. Previously been wearing my SW 9 MM EZ at the 4:00 just behind the strong side hip. Snub in my strong side pocket, however, will move it to my weak side pocket. I have gone from 295 to 221 in the past year and half. My last A1C was 6.0. Who Hoo! Dropped 4 paint sizes. Hope I can hold it off. Lost my appetite. Let you know how things work out.

Oxford High School Shooting- Oxford, Michigan
pop pop replied to FUJIMO's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
One just cannot believe, but about half of what you see in the news guys. Not enough info on the parents being charged. Not against the law to not have a gun locked up in TN. Much too early to jump to judgment on this matter. Certainty the school shooting is very bad.
