  1. Clocking is caused by a firing pin stop not making solid, flush contact with the groove in the extractor, allowing the extractor to turn slightly. If the extractor is able to twist with the firing pin stop installed, then it's clocking. Even a very small amount of clocking will cause erratic ejection. I don't know if that's a good explanation or not, but it's the best I can do.
  2. The W-W headstamp is Winchester/Western. I think the W-W headstamp was used from the '60s to the mid to late '80s- possible even early '90s, I believe that's about when they started using the WIN headstamp for their commercial ammunition. What is the bullet design? WC? SWC? RN?
  3. I used to be into RC cars. Got an Associated RC10GT right here as a matter of fact. It hasn't been run in years.
  4. This is true. I do not promote nor condone the viewing of the aforementioned video. Just pointing out that not every lesbian movie "just works". But if you do choose to watch it, and I recommend that you DO NOT, it's out there. Should you fail to heed this warning and watch it anyway, the good news is that nothing will ever be able to make you gag again. Not blood. Not disgusting dirty diapers. Not really smelly dog farts. NOTHING.
  5. Someone hasn't seen Two Girls One Cup.

    would you rather?

I voted for the Savage, but it's a toss up in my mind.
  7. The first reloading book I would get would be the Lyman book. After that, I'd get the book(s) that is(are) made by the company(nies) that make(s) most of the bullets I like to use(Hornady, Sierra, Speer, etc.).
  8. Reason #1- I just really like reloading. I enjoy everything about the process. Reason #2- Quality. Ex: My heavy-barreled .308 was shooting 3/4" groups at 100 yards with high-end factory ammo, not bad at all. My first batch of reloads using match quality bullets, I was getting 1/2" groups consistently, with a best group of just under 3/8". And that's without any load development. Reason #3- Savings. I can load every caliber I have cheaper than I can buy factory ammo. The savings range from small for 9mm to significant for match quality large rifle. The savings that can be had for big magnums, even common ones like 7mm Rem.Mag. and .300 Win.Mag., are VERY significant.
  9. I like the Lone Wolf knives for $100. Here is the one I have- http://www.bladehq.com/item--Lone-Wolf-Knives-Cheyenne--5269 100% USA made, top notch S30V blade and G10 handles, super tight lockup, and incredibly sharp right out of the box. If you create an account and log in, the discount price is right at $100. Some models may be hard to find for a while since Benchmade just bought Lone Wolf.
  10. Pics or it didn't happen.
  11. It's not bad at all. No worse than a .40, and not nearly as bad as a .357Mag. which isn't bad either.
  12. I have a Spyderco Tri-Angle Sharpmaker that works really well and is easy to use. I have a sharpening disability and have never been able to get a knife really, really sharp with traditional methods, but with the Sharpmaker I can get a knife shaving sharp quickly and easily.
  13. Another vote for the STI Spartan.
  14. Same here, I love the Leek but the tip does seem like it could be a bit delicate. I haven't had any problems so far though. I just ordered a Lone Wolf Cheyenne for those days when I feel like I want to carry something a little beefier. I intend to keep carrying my Leek most of the time though. I'm even thinking about getting another Leek with either a Damascus, composite, or S30V blade in the future, maybe Santa will bring me one.
  15. I guess the question we really have to ask ourselves is- do human beings have an inalienable right to self defense?
  16. Wow! Someone redlined my a-hole detector and my obnoxious, condescending know-it-all detector caught on fire.
  17. Your flourescent light may mess with your digital scale. Digital scales are very susceptible to electrical and magnetic interference from a variety of sources, including flourescent lights.
  18. This^ If you deprime before tumbling you will spend a lot of time digging media out of the primer pocket and flash hole. Plus the media isn't going to do much cleaning in the primer pocket anyway. I clean my primer pockets with a primer pocket cleaner(Hornady is the best Ive found) after tumbling and depriming(I use a Lee universal decapping die for all calibers I reload, even handgun).
  19. You can clean without it. It may take a little longer and not be as shiny, but it won't hurt a thing.

    Profiling

Perhaps you are right. Maybe I didn't handle it in the right way. And I understand how a chain of command works, but I have never considered any moderator here to be my "superior officer". Honestly, now that everything has shaken out, I think I did Daniel a favor. As it was written, I felt that Daniel's post was incendiary(he has admitted as much himself). My post gave him the opportunity to go into his point about profiling in more detail. I think that the poll thread was constructive and, at least for the most part, very civil. Now I think everyone understands each other much better, whether they agree or not. If I had known what he actually intended, I would have never started the other thread. Unfortunately, it is virtually impossible to know what someone intends when they don't adequately communicate it.If my thread has caused anyone any grief, I apologize.

I, and probably some other members here, agree with a lot of what McVeigh said in this quote. Hillary and Barry agree with a lot of what Hitler, Stalin and Lenin did(socialized medicine, spreading the wealth, etc.). McVeigh killed 168 people. Hitler, Lenin and Stalin killed at least 30,000,000. It doesn't mean a thing. It doesn't mean I'm a terrorist, and it doesn't mean that Barry or Hillary want to practice genocide. It is a pretty huge leap to imply that because someone may agree with something a lunatic said, that they will become lunatics themselves.

Oh, I'm not going to fight it. I am against institutionalized profiling based on a single criteria. But profiling based on the situation and using your own instincts is just good sense.

Can a moderator close the poll without closing the thread? I would like for the poll to be closed as it is no longer relevant since the original "Profiling" thread has been reopened.
