  1. Thanks for the clarification Fallguy.
  2. This was my understanding as well. Can anyone clarify?

I actually was a HUGE Cowboys fan growing up. The day that gigantic pile of Jerry Jones unceremoniously fired my beloved Tom Landry was the day I started HATING the Cowboys. I have hated them ever since. It doesn't matter how good they do, if they make the playoffs they'll lose in the first round anyway.
  4. Dang! That is one nasty shiner. I hope you get to feeling better soon.
  5. I see no difference in example 1a and 1b, but maybe my skin is thicker than most. In example 2a there was a heated exchange that led to the assault. In example 2b the attack was unprovoked. A DA would likely seek more time, and be less likely to plea bargain, for offense 2b for that reason. This is the way it should work. The justice system should determine what is right without color entering into it. Justice is SUPPOSED to be blind.
  6. You are certainly entitled to your opinion and to raise your children as you see fit. And you are free to judge anyone however you want. But I know I don't like the idea of the government legislating morality. It is a very slippery slope. It might just be that some people don't want their children exposed to gun owners, who they might consider to be immoral.
  7. You have to admire the Heisman bunch for not allowing a person who has no business being on the list to be on it. Racists!
  8. As long as we have a volunteer military, it's highly unlikely that we would ever see a military takeover. We are the military.

    a real mans meal

I think I had a mild heart attack just looking at the pictures.
  10. Apparently you cannot. I can honestly say, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I do not care what race, religion, sex, or sexual orientation you are, or any one else is. It's none of my business. I believe everyone is equal and, as such, should be treated equally in the eyes of the law. Hate crime laws do not promote tolerance. They promote differentiation. racism- discrimination or prejudice based on race. What you can't understand is that I am actually promoting equality, whereas you are fostering the idea that different people should be treated differently. Everyone must be equal in the eyes of the law. How you can dispute this is beyond me.
  11. You cannot be serious. I can't for the life of me understand how opposing racist, sexist legislation automatically makes you a racist or a sexist. I certainly don't condone any illegal act, regardless of the motivation. I think ALL violent offenders should get more time than they do, and I really don't care what color, religion, nationality, or sex they are. And I have not seen a single post in this thread that endorsed any illegal activities either. You have completely missed the point and are obviously unable to grasp even the most basic of concepts.

I can't blame Haynesworth for the trainwreck that is the Redskins. They almost make Al Davis, Tom Cable, and the Raiders look competent. Almost.

    And Haynesworth went to Washington.
  14. If zombie Crompton shows up again, it will be a dang good game(and Tennessee will win). If you need me I will be behind the sofa praying, like I used to do when I was five.
  15. She shore does got a purty mouth though.
  16. Hey, this UT team is really good 33.3% of the time.
  17. +1. The UN has been on my list for years.
  18. Did he win the Pulitzer too? What award will a bunch of morons not give this guy?
  19. Do you think they would just accept California? That would be a pretty sweet deal for us.
  20. Welcome aboard!
  21. Are you sure that's the set of the new Red Dawn? It might be the staging area for Obama's Civilian National Security Force. The posters and such would seem to make sense."Dangerous Citizen Alert", "Worker Re-Education Facility", "Obscene Choice. A Weapon of Mass Destruction. We are Here to Help.", "Helping You Back on Your Feet", "Repairing Your Economy", "Fighting Corporate Corruption". You could probably go to any ACORN office and see at least half of these signs right now.Joking(maybe?) aside, I'm psyched about the new Red Dawn. I am also fairly confident that they will screw it up, but I'm hoping they surprise me. I'm also curious how they will try to make a large scale invasion of the mainland United States seem plausible.
  22. They are okay in my experience. I'm not going to hold the primer episode against them too much. Primers, especially small rifle, were hard to come by at the time. And they sold out pretty quickly, even a $50/1,000. I don't know all of the facts, so I don't want judge them too harshly. Who knows?. They may have had to overpay to get what few primers they had.
  23. You can't go wrong with Unique or Bullseye for the .45 ACP. They are probably the two most popular powders for that caliber, and have been for many years.
  24. I'm assuming that the 1.206" COL from the Speer manual is a misprint. That is very short for a 230gr. FMJ. My Lyman manual shows 3.8-5.3gr. of Bullseye for a 230gr.TMJ with a COL of 1.275". My Sierra manual shows 4.0-5.2gr. of Bullseye for a 230gr.FMJ with a COAL of 1.270"5.0gr. of Bullseye under a 230gr. FMJ at a COL of 1.260" is a fairly stiff load(it should be safe, but still fairly stiff). I'd recommend starting with around 4.8gr. or a little less at 1.260" and working up from there. Or at least increase the COL to 1.270" if you want to start with 5.0gr. of Bullseye. From everything I've seen, 5.0gr. of Bullseye under a 230gr. FMJ at a COL of 1.265-1.275" should probably be pretty close to the original GI .45 ACP load.
