  1. Your premise assumes that every day the other 96% of the population DOES eat out at these same restaurants. Their should be roughly a statistically equal chance that anyone, whether they are permit holders or not, will eat at a restaurant on any given day. And let's give credit where credit is due, it's HexHead's boycott.Do I think it will make a difference? No not really. But I feel that I should do what I think is right even if I believe I will fail. My sig line pretty much sums up my feelings on all issues liberty related.
  2. Yes, but if they lose 4% of their business every single day, it equals a 4% loss of revenue over an extended period of time. And, as HexHead mentioned, permit holders have family, friends, and supporters as well. Of course this would all be dependent on every permit holder joining in the boycott, and bringing their friends and family along with them, which will never happen.
  3. I got the joke Mark, I was just answering Willis' question. I'd love to have a Remington Rand 1911. They are by all accounts some of the most highly regarded of the WWII era 1911s.
  4. There is no math in your post, just made up numbers:confused: Actual math alert!!! If 4 out of every 100 people has a carry permit, then logically 4 out of every 100 restaurant patrons has a carry permit. If those 4 of every 100 that eat at certain restaurants stop eating at said restaurants that equals an average 4% loss in revenue. It doesn't matter if it is citywide, statewide, or nationwide. If 4% of potential customers stop patronizing certain businesses those businesses lose 4% of their revenue.
  5. I don't believe so. Remington Arms also made typewriters for a while. They sold the typewriter business, and the right to use the Remington name, in the late 1800's to the company that would later become Remington Rand.
  6. Hopefully they will make repros of the 1875 and 1890 Remington revolvers too. That would be extra awesome.
  7. Any business that loses 4% of it's revenue is going to feel it. Plus you have to factor in the people who don't have a permit, like me, who will support a boycott.
  8. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Lamar screwed us over again though.
  9. Your not the only one. I used to think she was cute before she went all Karen Carpenter.

You are right, our representatives are completely out of touch with their constituents. Washington definitely needs an enema in 2010 and 2012.
  11. Don't forget the unions that need to make a dollar for every dollar a member is paid. I have some first hand experience with unions collecting dues and making money hand over fist and then screwing the dues paying member, or his family, in the end.
  12. I agree with most of what you are saying, but I think there WOULD be a difference in the way most of the media reported this if the current POTUS had an ® beside his name. This would definitely be a lead story on at least four "news" networks.
  13. I just hope the kid doesn't own a horse.
  14. "We'll be looking into the Cub Scout or Boy Scout who did the trails," Balzano told the council. Just what is that supposed to mean? We know how the SEIU rolls.
  15. Good one.
  16. It was an incredibly boring main event, but I don't think it was a bad decision. Couture controlled the pace, had 1 takedown, and scored a few decent punches. Vera landed two kicks, maybe one decent punch, and had one takedown. I thought, before the decision was announced, that it should either be 29-29(1 round each and one round even) or Couture should win 29-28. I don't see how the judges could have given the fight to Vera based pretty much entirely on his having landed two good body kicks. Quite frankly, I don't think either of them fought to win, they both fought to not lose.
  17. Wow. This is a very strange turn of events.
  18. + Another one. I can't stand him or his music.
  19. Welcome from Kingsport!
  20. I'm not in the market for a new bed. I just wanted to say that it's very nice of you to offer this to your fellow TGOers.
  21. Very cool of Applebee's to do this. I'm going to try make it over there on Wednesday and snag some free food.
  22. Classic.
  23. Welcome from Kingsport. And +1 for pics of your gear.
