Oh, it happened. The second pic is kinda crappy because it's nighttime and I don't have a tripod. I took these just a few minutes ago. I've heard estimates ranging from 4 to 11 inches by tomorrow night.

Yes, it's for real. I don't know who you mean by "they", but this particular person's butchery of the English language is nothing short of atrocious.
-
Priceless! Nice catch.

May 21,2008, from here- Smith and Wesson M&P Pistols Adopted by More than 330 Police Departments: Latest Worcester, Mass PD in .45 ACP :: Blue Sheepdog"To date, more than 330 police departments have issued the M&P pistol as the standard handgun in 9mm, .40 S&W, or .45 ACP. The newest department to adopt the M&P is the Worcester, MA Police Department." Of course, I can't vouch for the accuracy of this article. But it does quite clearly state that the M&P is issued as the standard sidearm in those 330+ departments(in May 2008). Also, a very quick, less than one minute google search returned many times more than the 10-20 departments that came off the top of your head. And, according to the US government, there were over 17,000 law enforcement agencies in the United States in 1993, not 1,200-1,600.
-
At last count, at least 500 law enforcement agencies nationwide had gone to the M&P. Many, if not most, of them were replacing Glocks. They can't be all bad.
-
I'm in too.
-
The only somewhat widespread problem with the M&Ps that I have ever heard of was that the magazine would sometimes fall out during firing on some of the earlier models. As far as I know, this was fixed long ago.

I personally think you should expect a good AR to shoot 2-3 MOA or better at 100 yards with quality ammo from a rest. You didn't mention how you are shooting. From a rest? Offhand? Kneeling? Prone? More rounds down the pipe and more practice will help. Also, how many different types of ammo have you tried? It could just be that your AR doesn't like what you're feeding it. More magnification will always make shooting at a distance easier too. Can you put a scope on your AR to try it out with the same ammo and see if it does much better?

I don't know about the new Leupold Redfields, but the old Redfields of the mid 90's and before were very, very good scopes. I have a Colorado built early '90s Redfield Widefield 1.75-5x scope that is easily on par with any Leupold I own. I have high hopes for the new Redfield and hope Leupold expands the product line to include some higher-end scopes as well. The old Redfield that I remember made high quality scopes and I'd hate to see them get a reputation as a low-end brand. I am glad that Leupold is building the new Redfield scopes in the USA instead of just slapping the Redfield name on a cheap Asian import like they could have done. Kudos to Leupold for that.

I haven't really seen Alabama bashed by the national media this year. Even Saban, who the media has been pretty harsh with in the past(and rightly so IMO), has been treated pretty well this year.In my opinion, and it's just that- an opinion, Ingram won this award for two reasons: 1) Alabama, as one of the most storied programs in NCAA history, was long overdue for a Heisman Trophy and 2) because of his solid, though not spectacular, performance against Florida(who the national media loves most of all).
-
I think Gerhart would start, or at least get significant playing time, for any of those teams including Bama. He is a very good player. I'm not taking anything away from Ingram, he is a very good player as well. Having said all of this, neither Gerhart or Ingram should have won the Heisman. Ndamukong Suh was the most dominant player in the country, but unfortunately he plays defense and doesn't return kicks.
-
I think he means that Peyton went against the same level of competition as Ingram, and yet he lost. While Woodson played in a weaker conference, against weaker opponents, and he won. FYI, in 1997 Tennessee's ranked 6th in strength of schedule, Michigan was 35th.

No. A .22LR isn't nearly enough for a yote(or any other animal for that matter) at that range. Not accurate enough and not enough power. You might be able to hit a yote at 200, but the odds of actually killing it humanely(or even inhumanely) would be extremely slim.
-
I like UT, but I'm a Penn State fan. Anybody who thinks Woodson deserved that award is either an Alabama, Florida, or Michigan fan, or is retarded.
-
I guess thinking about Glocks causes strick to have a burning sensation when he urinates too. Granted it doesn't say much for us, but what does it say for Glocks.
-
I agree.
-
Yes but you are speaking as a fan. I am a casual observer who has no strong feelings about either team or player. And don't forget that the all-knowing Heisman voters gave the award to Charles Woodson. All of their credibility went out the window in 1997.
-
So do Gestapo, garbage, and gonorrhea.Edit: Awww, strick got gonorrhea first.
-
The only problem I have with Glocks, aside from the fact that I have never cared for the feel of them, is the people that swear by them. Some Glock owners are without a doubt some of the most obnoxious people on Earth. Their insane desire to defend their precious Glocks, and condemn every other gun ever made, is extremely irritating. There are a lot of people that swear by brand X or brand Y or brand Z, but none are so in your face annoying as those that swear by brand G.

Yes, Alabama had a tougher schedule. They also had a much better defense and more offensive weapons than Stanford could ever hope to have. Their opponents also had to be concerned with more than just Ingram, whereas all anyone really had to do to beat Stanford was stop Gerhart. Every Stanford opponent knew that and they still couldn't do it. Just a little more perspective.
-
The Walker, Maxwell, etc. awards usually go to the best players. The Heisman is much more of a team award. Gerhart clearly had the better season, particularly when you factor in the fact that he was pretty much the lone focus for Stanford's opponents. Without Gerhart, Stanford would have been lucky to go 4-8 instead of 8-4. Alabama only had two games decided by less than 10 pts. all season, against Tennessee and Auburn, and Ingram went for less than 100 yds. in each of those games. Gerhart averaged 150.5 yds./game in games decided by less than 10 pts. And not only did Gerhart rush for 194 more yds. and eleven more touchdowns, he did it in one less game. I thought Ingram was the third best player invited to the award ceremonies, behind Suh and Gerhart. I think he clearly did deserve the award ahead of McCoy(who was probably the favorite) and Tebow though. ..................................................Gerhart..................Ingram Yds./Game Season-.......................144.7......................118.6 Yds./Game vs Ranked Opponents-....184.......................165 Yds./Carry vs Ranked Opponents-.....6.46.....................6.44 TDs vs Ranked Opponents-..............11(4 games)..........6(5 games) As you can see by the above stats, even in big games Gerhart had better numbers.

That's ridiculous, everyone knows God is a Joe Paterno fan. They went to school together.
