  1. I assume most is stamped with the caliber....
  2. One of the indoor ranges I frequent says they sell the brass and lead to recyclers. I can't verify that though. Do you pick up steel or aluminum "brass"?
  3. If it is actual brass case, then even non -desirable calibers can be sold for scrap at a recycling center. Just depends on if the amount you have makes the trip worth while. All those are standard enough that you will find someone for them.
  4. Banning one thing always leads to others. How soon until pistol braces are attacked? By the time people start complaining about them trying to ban shotguns, it will be far too late. It is not about whether you would use them, but whether people should have a decision. Hell, I think we should repeal the NFA and I really never see me buying a full auto. If you want it and you have a clean record you should be able to buy it.
  5. Got this today from Rep. Roe's office. Guess I got on the email list when I mailed him. I don't think you can use my link because it looks serialized. I would bet several are doing it. Make sure you get to answer it. I am sure they will twist it, but gotta get your opinion heard. --------------- Dear Friend: As your Congressman, one of my highest honors is helping East Tennesseans. It's important I hear from you about the issues most important to you and your family, so please don't hesitate to contact me anytime. Please take a moment to answer the question below. Thank you for your time. I am honored to serve you in Congress. Sincerely, Phil In response to the recent school shooting in Parkland, Florida, there have been renewed calls for action in an effort to prevent future school shootings, and numerous proposals have been suggested by the President and other members of Congress. Which of the following measures that have been suggested do you support? (Choose all that apply)* Ban on certain types of firearms. Raising the age to buy semiautomatic firearms from 18 to 21 years old. Ending the sale of bump stocks. Expanding and strengthening background checks. Improving information sharing between federal agencies to prevent criminals or dangerous individuals from obtaining firearms. Allowing qualified teachers, such as a former Army ranger or law enforcement professional, to carry firearms on a volunteer basis. Improving school security and better controlling school access. Increasing access to counseling and mental health services. Enforcing the laws that are already on the books. Other Choose Your Answer
  6. Yikes. Giving you a new G2 should be a quick turn around. I bet they came up with some "fix" to avoid losing money. And they are in no hurry to get them done.
  7. I can get to it. I get the same random popup issue at times. Totally have to close the browser tab to get out of the ad.
  8. Viva La Mexico!
  9. I am not racist. I keep guns to shoot any color a$$hole that tries to harm me or my family. You could be as purple as Barney and I wouldn't worry about it on any normal day, let alone fear you more when I need to ventilate you to protect my family. If some white guys fear a black, asian, or latino man more than another white guy, they have already set themselves up for failure.
  10. These large corporations sometimes forget who pays their bills. Not all of use are sheep that gobble down whatever new advertising campaign they shove at us. There are lots of other people that provide the same services. Find one that remembers your business is their customer not their puppet.
  11. That is what worries me. I am probably just keeping mine as is. I don't have a lot in it to begin with. Plus, I don't plan to point it at any one and slam the mag in unless I already plan to shoot them. And I dont have a habit of dropping loaded guns. I saw the price of auction ones go up as people bought cheap ones hoping to swap them for a new G2.
  12. Saw one kid directly called CNN from inside the school. He said he was "shaken up". Wanna bet he was on the total other end of the school? Looking for a bit of attention maybe?
  13. I weep for all the years I lost that I could have been collecting these too. Nothing more beautiful than a nice revolver.
  14. New bill introduced H.R.5103 - Gun Violence Prevention and Safe Communities Act of 2018 Basically ups taxes on firearms to 20% and ammo to 50% How is increasing taxes gonna prevent gun violence? https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-bill/5103/text
  15. I remember that pic. I just did not know it came in 10mm too.
  16. Looks like it has been out a while, but did not realize anyone made a 10mm AR style platform. https://www.tnwfirearms.com/product-p/asrx-cplt-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx.htm
  17. I gotta remember to get over there more often if they give this type of stuff away. Lol
  18. The Rhino...
  19. Yeah 50% is high for longer term, but for the first exodus it is a nice round number to use. If agriculture is the plan, some areas have a lot of pavement to bust up before they even approach having enough acres. Honestly, the best scenario for the survivors is a sudden massive population drop that leaves the infrastructure and food stores intact. Without that the food will be hoarded quickly and lots of the population will go feral. You know how groups love to destroy stuff for no reason. They would trash the very stuff they need to survive.
  20. Wrote a post on this tonight and thought I would share it and my back up math. http://leveledsurvival.com/2018/03/15/bugging-out-to-the-woods/ Just to extrapolate since someone (not on TGO) said it was "not that bad", I did some math: Shtf and the population of Nashville TN (684,410) decides to spread out over 100 square miles. Let's say 50% make it and not count the previous population of those 100 square miles. That leaves 3,422 people per square mile. Even if that was virgin land, no way could it sustain them. Even at 1000 miles that is 342 per square mile. Tucon AZ at 50% over 1000 square miles is 265 per square mile. Upscale this to some place like New York City. 8.538 million people at 50% over 1000 square miles is 4269 people per square mile. It is a concern if you do the math. All those people that survive have to go somewhere.
  21. Exercised your constitutional right.....
  22. I think Dolomite might be like me, I hate going to Wal-Mart, but sometimes the cost savings wins out.
  23. Oh, I figured. I don't think I see you riding around in a black limo. I would expect to see you in multicam in a humvee but that is just a guess.
  24. Or a shotgun to mount under it. https://www.lockharttactical.com/store/product/8583498-lt-ubs
  25. That sounds like a challenge.....
