  1. Sounds like a bit of touchy history there Even the new carbon ones are not like your grandfather's but are still better than 99% in similar price ranges.
  2. I can't get excited about yet another caliber..... I have enough as is. But I am the guy that does not get real excited about the detail specs of the round. So many are so close that practically there is no difference in normal use. Now competition might be different.
  3. I did sales for a bunch of years. Some retail in a western wear store and I even sold Kirby vacuum cleaners door to door for a while. It can be tough, but as @SWJewellTN said keep an open mind. Several times in the western store I had people come in all covered in dirt or worse. The other sales people ignored them. I figured I had to be there any way and helped them out. One time a guy came in asking to try on about 10 pairs of lower cost boots. We were slow, so I got him sizes of all the ones he wanted. When we got done, I figured I had a mess to clean up. He then says, "I will take these 6 pair" and paid in cash. So none cost a ton each, but together that was a good sale. He was a trucker and would buy a bunch at once and wear them until he only had one pair left, then go buy more. Another time a family came in with 5 kids. Dad looked like he just rolled around in a coal pile. I helped them get all 5 kids boots and other stuff. Turned out the dad was a miner. He paid cash and handed me a good tip on top of a good size sale. He said the other store in town would not help him. I swear his wallet must have has $2k in it when he took it out to pay. Never sold cars, I know they are a special category. Just treat people how you want to be and you will live through the idiots and rack up some sales.
  4. Yep, they must have found all those illegal caches of weapons so many people seem to be scared of. Or you know, just converted them with a file, cause, you know, that is a thing....NOT!
  5. Yeah, I know, but at the start tgey coukd have found stuff
  6. I still raise the question about why it took people so long to start reloading. They are in GA, you know they should have found equipment and components. Plus how is Eugene reloading in a machine shop? Unless he is making all his dies, molds, and such first. That would be a lot of work for each caliber. Looks like @Omega beat me to this point. Lol
  7. I sometimes think they introduce so many bills just to make it harder to track down what all of the bills are for.
  8. That is if we do our due diligence and let our opinions be heard. If not, surprising things can happen.
  9. Good chance that the origional coyote is not around anymore...the post was from 2011.....
  10. One more think is this suspiciously looks like a slight redesign of the $99 folding Turkish guns Wal-marts sells as Hatfields. Granted, there are some nice added features beyond the Hatfield model. Personally I have no warmed up to folding guns. Just my bias though. While not packable my Savage Model 24 fits my needs better.
  11. Recent review: https://www.shootingillustrated.com/articles/2018/2/19/review-midland-arms-backpack-shotgun/
  12. Latest I saw said 3 injured. Female shooter dead from apparent self-inflicted shot. This seems less like a random and more like a jilted lover or something. We will see if they let that out or just scream 'active shooter. There is info coming out about her ranting that YT was suppressing her. Who knows if that is real or not. Police response was 2 minutes it said??? YT must have a priority. Did you notice they took the victims to "Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital"?
  13. When I worked at the home office of a construction company, I got stuff shipped in all the time. Now that I work IT for a bank, yeah not so likely. Though I have snuck a few packages in from individuals. You could ask about "Hold for Pickup" options with the shipper, but most of the time that is a no go for firearms too.
  14. It all depends. Some places will not ship to anything but your billing address. If not, any chance you could ship them to work? With all the package theft and fraud over the past years it has gotten harder to work out alternate delivery arrangements. Of course due to the nature of the items you get delivered, it is even tighter regulations.
  15. My wife would frown on me running classes in the front yard. LoL
  16. Dang wish classes got ran closer to my end of the state.
  17. My father in law has an older one and my son took his first deer with it. I have some AR9 style 9mm "pistols". I like them. Woukd be easy to hold one into a carbine instead.
  18. You have a spotter in the foreground. My guess is small aircraft passing over. That would be a bunch of lead flying. Could be enough to take it down or at least discourage it. I would think blind volleys of bullets would be pretty wasteful if used against anything except a huge mass of people. On a side note, looks like it may be a female sniper furthest up the incline.
  19. Yeah, but since Cabela's told me wrong they sent them to BP for $15 with no transfer fee when I pick them up. So I just have a $10 bcc to pay.
  20. I love how the Mini 14 is in the exceptions. Lol
  21. I did have to have the lowers transfered to Bass Pro. I hopefully can pick them up Tuesday. I held off ordering from 22 Mods for all yet. Just had too much going on to deal with it. Good to hear the sets are good quality @foil7102 I hope to get to it soon.
  22. Wonder if moleskin woukd work instead of the neoprene? For me, not sure I could ever feel secure with ankle carry, but my legs have issues that make me think that.
  23. I used to have 2 huge trash bags full of hats. As a kid Dad took me with him to construction supply places when picking up stuff. Being a little kid, they loved to give me hats. One I remember I had was Rocky Top Materials. I ended up getting rid of most of them in a move. I really don't wear hats and if I do, ball caps are not my favorite. I still keep a few around though, just in case. I do pay attention to hat and clothing logos though. Lots of info people communicate through what brands they wear.
  24. So apparently the TWRA on 3/27/18 posted video of an alligator in Fayette County, TN..... So where have I been when this started happening???? https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2062629527097964&id=1425361010824822
  25. This all cinches it. I will just keep mine. I have extra mags and actually an extra used slide for it. It makes a good under the seat gun anyway.
