While watching Fear The Walking Dead recently a character jumps in a bath tub to escape the blast of a grenade. It got me thinking that I have seen this done a bunch in movies or tv shows to avoid a blast or bullets. Is there any "armor" value to this? I can see it being helpful back when porcelin covered cast iron was the norm, but I don't think today's fiberglass tubs provide much protection from shrapnel or bullets. You might be protected from the blast wave though. So thoughts? I know this was tv, but I have seen people refer to this in home invasion scenerios where they plan to put their family in the tub to avoid gunfire.

Fear was a crossover event last night. You actually got to see some of TWD cast. Then mainly Morgan and new people.

Must have been one hell of a powder he loaded with to screw those guns that bad. I think it is anticlimactic that Morgan walked and drove to TX. We're looking at like 1500 miles. Still a long way after a full tank of gas.

I actually think it could have its uses. Soda cans with homemade smoke could well be useful. Only after SHTF when there is no more law though. Until then watching Dr Thunder slam a block wall would be a good afternoon.

My wife's work had a printer testing stuff for a while. Her friend ran it and basically just made whatever he wanted to test out the different plastics. We ended up with a few neat things. Mostly ornamental though.
