  1. I didn't know they had one. Is it good? Oh, I see it is only handgun......
  2. I have seen this before. I love it Somehow I have never seen this. I almost split my side. That is great! @Garufa If I had that rifle, I guess I could live with that tile. It is probably better than I could actually do. Lol
  3. The rifle The tile looks like a not quite complete demo job...
  4. Thought this was an interesting piece of work.
  5. I'm in Johnson City. I went to that one a good bit. Barnett's Guns in Hampton may be the only indoor public one. It has still not reopened since the fire. It is supposed open in October.
  6. Looks like I just need to find somewhere to practice with that in-line muzzleloader I picked up. Just mainly trying to work in some more time with Dad. I am afraid we don't have him for many more years.
  7. Thanks. I am wearing the internet out on it. I bought a used muzzleloader, but without experience a 12ga would make me more comfortable this season. Dad really wants me to come with him to Columbia for a hunt. I found this. It might be the cause of it. https://www.ammoland.com/2018/02/tennessee-regarding-expansion-of-primitive-weapons-classification/#axzz5SFmFhHFu
  8. Not been long since I bought one too.
  9. Talking to my Dad today and he said that shotguns firing slugs are legal during TN muzzleoader season now. I can't find this on TWRA's site. Anybody heard of this? Thanks
  10. @GlockSpock I think you are. If the C was not there it would fall into this I think. See highlight. This is from the 2010 Standard Catalog of Firearms. Those letter prefixes make all the difference.
  11. I have 2 pre-war "pre Model 10" types (M&P Model 1905) so this peaked my interest. Care to share most of the sn? I am sure we can get you a year. Is there a model # in the crane yoke. The 1957 change started that I think. Before that the number there was an assembly number. Looks like this Here is the latest one I bought.
  12. Somehow I missed this reply. I just need a pic of the mag from all sides
  13. I had mine removed before high school because I needed to get braces. The dentist freaked out when I woke up in the middle as he was pulling a bloody chunk of my tooth out. Then he gassed me so much that it took me forever to wake up. Went ok besides that.
  14. My Dad was facing several root canals a few years ago and pulled all his to save money. He kept having bone slivers work up to the gum surface for 2 years or so. Then had trouble talking or eating for another year or 2 with his "permenant" set of dentures. Not sure it was a good decision to base on cost alone.
  15. For me and the origional reason I started this thread, I can't travel hundreds of miles away to just hunt hog. I would love to, but time and cost prohibit it. I have enought trouble working out getting to hunt deer once or twice. I went years wihout hunting due to this. Just last year I got to go once. I want to take my dad who is in his 70's, so that means it is even harder to coordinate. I have just about figured out that it is not gonna happen.
  16. A bit of info. 1977 ed. Of the book.
  17. I see how it is, gotta wear the dark glasses to hide your eyes when you wear that hat....
  18. @robtattoo I don't know, I have been talking it up for a year. Lol
  19. I have Comcast and I added the in-house wiring coverage for like 6 bucks a month before I had them come and work. They rewired from my cable box to the pole instead of shrugging me off as customer wiring issues. Then they could not ignore the equipment at the end of the street that needed replaced. Otherwise the tech will blame your wiring, your router, the cable box , or anything else to get out fast. You can cancel that feature at any time.
  20. Welcome to legacy of the government selling its soul ( actually our souls) to the telephone utilities. Rules were put in place in exchange for the companies building service out into less populated (read less profitable) areas way back when. So the government is involved...just on the side of the utilities. Everytime repealing these laws comes up, millions of dollars get poured into lobbying to keep them. Of course on the other hand, it could be worse for you. My parent's live in a dead zone that no utility provides internet to. And they are less than 30 minutes out of Knoxville.
  21. Welcome!
  22. Nice I envy that job you spoke of. Sadly by the time I came of working age most opportunities like that were gone from the area I was in.
  23. That is some quality work.
  24. @Danger Rane and @gjohnsoniv Thanks for the feedback. What has held me back from this before and makes it a harder decision is that this will be insurance only. I won't be wearing on a daily basis unless the world falls apart. I don't compete or go places I think it would be needed. In fact my job would prevent me from having it with me outside the car. If I need it, I want it to work, but it will ride in my car or on a peg mostly. So that makes cost a big factor. Plus as with all things, I gotta keep my better half from having me committed. She thinks I am overly paranoid about stuff. From what I have read of ceramic, I don't think it is for me. I don't want it cracked from getting tossed around and I can't be testing and replacing the panels every couple of years. I understand that the upgrade to curved and better spall mitigation costs, but is a good idea. I will have to look at carriers. I do want to avoid the bottom end, but I have to see how high I am comfortable going. Do you guys use trauma pads?
  25. In my eyes they are a backup short term plan. Now, I just by the right type of ammo and have several calibers guns. If things all went to crap, long term I would plan to reload the calibers I needed. These are somewhere in the middle.
