  1. @RED333 This derived from the need to test the firing pin in a lgs. I expect them to frown on even firing a primer in the store. The gun I was looking at has a rebound trigger on a break action gun. I have others of this model, but this hammer seemed very standoffish. Seeing this is a hard to find example, I wanted to pick it up, but not enough to end up having to get it worked on immediately.
  2. @Garufa To test if the firing pin is striking the primer.
  3. Thought of a way to test firing pins that I see some have used online. Pop out a fired primer and replace with modeling clay. Would work on revolvers and such. Might need a full snap cap body for semis. Anyone tried this?
  4. Where are they filming the next aflac commercial?
  5. Well I have $125 burning a hole in my pocket if you want to make a profit.

    Anyone

Don't poke the beast... we will all be out of money soon enough...
  7. Just for other options. Lol Saw this monstrosity on a site tonight. American Derringer Model 1 45-70 Gov Derringer https://www.genitron.com/Handgun/American-Derringer/Pistol/Model-1/45-70-Gov/Variant-1
  8. Ah..the best laid plans... Guess this guy never saw a hunting dog that pinned deer in a fence corner. I would do less damage with a pickaxe.
  9. Wife is gonna make a roast so I dug a few hills. Not bad for tossing some sprouting new potatoes in the ground and watering them a few times. Still got 5 hills out there. Hard to see size, but the largest are about twice thee size if a ping pong ball. Anyone ever dug the whole plant, carefully harvested and replanted to get a second harvest? Gonna try to see if anything happens. Nothing lost trying.
  10. Just enough lol

    Quilts

My grandmother and great grandmother both quilted a lot. When my great grandmother died my mom got me several stiched quilt tops. My wife's grandmother finished them for us. Make a them extra special since she is gone too now. W The ones I used to love as a kid were the ones my granny cut up old clothes to make. Tons of polyester 70's clothes to be exact. Lol
  12. What was that seller smoking? WOW. Good find
  13. I also know several families with autistic kids. Others that have kids with diagnosed anxiety disorders. It is as hard of a struggle for the kids as the parents. People just don't realize these kids are not just spoiled like so many others I know. One long term friend has 1 autistic kid and one very energetic (possibly adhd) kid. She is blind but still works a full time job while not being supported by her ex. At one point she could have made more on disability/welfare than working, but she still chose to work. She is a real hero doing it all herself. I dont think I would have the strength. Taking her kids to school and going to work is a convoluted, slow, and painful series of multiple special transportation bus rides each day. Unfortunately she is too far away to visit often. Seeing peoples reaction to her family in public is just ridiculous.
  14. Edward Uhl, the Man Behind the Bazooka More info
  15. You clearly get more game than I do.
  16. An airsoft or paintball gun might work too. I saw a pepper ball gun the other day. Interesting.. https://pblifelite.com/
  17. Ever had yoir a$$ kicked by a girl?
  18. My Dad is a retired machinist.... Boy the crap he used to make. He said while in school in the 60's he worked at a machine shop and they were fixing a demilled 50 cal in their free time. He never knew what happened to it. One weekend it disappeared out of the corner of the shop. Lol
  19. Maybe this if you were brave enough to let it get close enough...
  20. @peejman I think it was just a toy to begin with, but since they are machinists, making a break and threading the barrel should easy.
  21. No. From stuff I read closer to a .700 nitro. Basically they made a single barrel double rifle.
  22. Interesting...painfully interesting. Pulled off Tumblr Recoil gif...
  23. I just started last season. I bought a $100 used in-line, some #11 caps, sabots and powder. I got lucky and bought a used bp mix of tools on eBay. So that is where I got my powder measure and powder flask. I went out to the range and played with suggested powder amounts. Now it is not as nice as my Dad's break action that uses 209 shotgun primers, but I am sure it will kill a deer just the same. I decided that if I stick with it, I can get a better one later.
  24. Her eyes are scary looking.
  25. 3.1000 lbs. Lol I always get the feeling we should stop with 'nut' when I see his stuff.......
