  1. I remember getting scolded by my mom as a kid after a day of sliding down a red clay bank. My underwear were orange on the back side. No way to get that stuff out.
  2. I have my .22s Rhom 10 for that reason. lol
  3. I could have bought one of those a while back. lol
  4. Shows you how much I DON'T know about British TV.. lol I will just keep discussing swallows over here in my corner.
  5. I love Monty Python. Never got into much else. The wife loves Downton Abbey and the daughter is a huge Office fan by conduit of the American series. Still got 2 pairs of Docs I picked up in London the only time I got to go. I used to be sort of a fanatic about them. What I get for working in a boot store. One is pretty much one of a kind before they became cookie cutter. Kinda looks like a union Jack and rebel flag mixed. Really loved my time there. I spent most of it in Derbyshire doing volunteer work. Ah, college days...so much more free time...
  6. Nice! I am trying to get my regular workbench together. My plan is to drill holes and have a a board mounted with a press when I start reloading that I can quickly bolt to the top and then remove again.
  7. I would hope not his maiden voyage at 1/2 a mile high. Long way to fall.
  8. Airline pilots report seeing ‘guy in jetpack’ flying near LAX during approach https://www.foxnews.com/us/los-angeles-american-airlines-pilot-jetpack-near-lax An American Airlines pilot in California reported seeing a “guy in a jetpack” flying roughly 3,000 feet above-ground as he was nearing Los Angeles International Airport, according to a recent report. The American flight 1997 pilot was roughly 10 miles away from LAX on Sunday evening -- while it was still light out -- when he spotted the unusual sight and notified authorities, local affiliate FOX 11 Los Angeles reported. “Tower, American 1997, we just passed a guy in a jetpack,” the pilot can be heard saying in radio transmissions obtained by the news station. When the air traffic controller asks whether the pilot said the person was on the right or left side of the plane, he responds: “Off the left side, maybe 300 yards or so, about our altitude.” The Federal Aviation Authority told Fox News the sighting happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. local time. A second pilot then piped in, according to the report, telling air-traffic control: “We just saw the guy passing by us in the jetpack.” It's not clear what happened to the jetpack-traveler, who had not been located as of Monday night. An FAA spokesperson told Fox News said the agency "alerted local law enforcement to the reports, and is looking into these reports." The LAPD did not immediately respond to Fox News’ requests for comment.
  9. Hello
  10. Finally figured mine must have just been basically unused even though I bought it new. Have not shot it a lot, but I don't have as much of an issue as I used to.
  11. Here is a PDF put out by Winchester. Go to page 9. https://www.winchesterguns.com/content/dam/winchester-repeating-arms/support/faq/serial-number-reference/Winchester-Manufacture-Dates-by-Year-2012-Scanned-Documents.pdf
  12. By legality are you referring to the legality of the SBR or of just the concealment of an SBR
  13. Maybe we should bring back punt guns? LOL
  14. What kind of Win 94 is it? Top eject or angle eject? Any idea when it was made? These factors determine how you can mount a scope and that determines what you might want.
  15. One thing I have learned from having stuff done for the house AND having worked for a general contractor is that you need to be ultra specific on all details IN WRITING. Stuff like I said I wanted all screws in the deck we built... but I didn't get it in writing, so I ended up with 1/3 screws and 2/3 nails. Do you want the tile in the entry way the same height as the laminate in the living room? Get it in writing or they will take the cheapest and easiest way out. If it is not in writing, some builders will change order (extra fee for changes) you to death on every little thing. A buddy just finished a house, but he is a structural engineer with a couple decades experience working with subcontractors. He even drafted the plans. He still had a rough time getting it done how he wanted.
  16. Good job! I have all the pieces to get one together, but I cheated and ordered the screws you use instead of pins. I would be pretty miffed if I broke a scale. I wonder if you could build a jig to fit in a vice with multiple holes to put hardened steel pins in to match the ones you want flared. Then just crank down the vise. I wonder if that would be enough force?
  17. Would be interesting if it was.. but yeah seems unlikely. I just thought it was interesting to see what people put out there. I don't do social media, so maybe I am just not used to seeing all the crazy crap. lol
  18. Not so much funny Didn't think it needed its own thread. . but interesting.. I can't prove it is true though.
  19. Listened to earlier. It keeps rolling around in my head. I love War Pigs too.
  20. I am against the torture of poor innocent firearms...stop the cruelty.
  21. I used to work with a guy that I found out by accident was really into Craigslist meetups. Evidently he tried to find a girl whenever he was even just driving to a different town for a few hours. Funny the things people use their work email for....and leave open when they know you are gonna be at their computer. The dark side of IT.
  22. I bet that lasted a whole 15 minutes before it got flagged. I mean you can advertise as a prostitute on there, but not sell guns.
  23. Nope but the Russian looking hat is what caught my eye when I first saw that pic.
  24. My Dad says that his granddad used to raise grouse, pheasants, and quail to release around his property. He even sowed the pasture with stuff that they liked. Never seen any of them at all on that land. House cats kill any of them that are small, quail especially. That coupled with lots of open fields becoming housing developments does not give me hope that they will come back.
  25. I have always wondered about 1968. That is also the year seat belts became mandatory in all new United States vehicles. If it is not clear by the TP hoarding, people panic, which makes other people panic,....until a shortage of whatever it is occurs. It could be ammo, magazines, Tickle Me Elmo, or whatever. Some times a perceived shortage is as good as a real one to get people to panic. Used to happen every Christmas with the hot toy. People panic they if they can't find it for their kids and pay big bucks to get it off the secondary market. I clearly remember shopping with my Mom and seeing 2 ladies fight over a Cabbage Patch Doll. Like everything else, if people would just calm down, it would sort out. It will happen sooner or later.
