  1. My understanding is that you could make .308 into 6.5 CM, but seems harder. Not sure if the blanks were brass or steel and that would probably matter. No 6.5 in my house right now, so no go for me. Though I saw some brass that might make me buy one....
  2. If I set up a booth selling air freshener that smells like gun powder, brass, and gun oil does that count as a gun stuff booth? How many of the 300 will be beef jerky?
  3. Never seen this before, but a look around on the web says that reloaders suggest a slow steady push with a universal decapping die. Not sure I am that brave. My biggest deal would be that most blanks are crimped at the end, so not just as easy as pulling the bullet on normal ammo. Also have to worry if the primer was crimped. If so, the primer cup might be too distorted to use again. I would also suspect that with all the pull down bullets, reclaimed powder, and brass you can buy from disassembly companies, not seeing them selling reclaimed primers might tell the entire story. Doable, but not safe or efficient. So I think I would just be patient or look for the best price I could find if I needed primers.
  4. May have missed it here, but I don't remember seeing it. Seems Henry has a recall. https://www.academy.com/content/dam/academysports/product-recalls/henry-recall.pdf
  5. I tried to redo ours, but seeing we only have 7 years left and the lowest term is 15 it is not appetizing. Especially when I see that we only save about 1200 if I keep paying the same payment due to the $3000 in losing costs. We do pay it off a few months earlier, but that is not enough to go through all the hassle like when we refinanced about 8 years ago. Estimator almost screwed us back then pulling some crazy low "equivalents" that were not even near us. Plus right now my house's curb appeal is pretty low with the yard torn up trying to improve the grass coverage in some shady areas.
  6. Thanks! I will get a PIF up in a few days
  7. I will. I do, affirmative LoL
  8. I would take the .223/5.56 brass
  9. @Beltfed Let me get my inbox emptied a bit and I will PM you on this and the .380 you mentioned in another thread.
  10. Hope you had Lots of help getting her out. Did so miss where you got her? That is a LOT of meat. lol
  11. So how many pounds did this one weigh?
  12. All depends on how much it cost you. That'll kill the zombies as easy as stuff made last year. lol
  13. I have a piece of equipment specially made to do that.
  14. Please save your rifles... send it to me and I will safely dispose of it.
  15. Jinks won't be around forever. I would do it now. Bet it costs less than the grips did. lol
  16. As I have said before, I only have a slight problem with someone lining up and waiting to get heir ammo EVERY DAY and then reselling at a reasonable profit. It is paying for their time. That is unless, like I know some of our local guys are, they are on government disability because they are "unable to work". If you are able to get up and be in line at Academy with your wife and 5 kids to buy 3 boxes of ammo each every truck day, then you and your snot brats should be working. I am not happy ablout paying taxes to support you are you resell ammo at a profit. Was in our local Academy again last night. Still just the same 4 boxes of $5 per shell turkey shot as for the last 2 weeks. I have found a few things I could order for store pickup before they sold out, but ammo (aside from shotgun shells) never show up. Last I got was a set of dies 2 weeks ago.

  18. This is the oddest part of a registration bilI I have ever read. "IN GENERAL.—The Attorney General shall establish and maintain a database of all firearms registered pursuant to this subsection. ‘‘(B) ACCESS.—', all Federal, State, and local law enforcement authorities, all branches of the United States Armed Forces, and all State and local governments, as defined by the Bureau."IN GENERAL.—The Attorney General shall establish and maintain a database of all firearms registered pursuant to this subsection. ‘‘(B) ACCESS.—The Attorney General shall make the contents of the database accessible to all members of the public, all Federal, State, and local law enforcement authorities, all branches of the United States Armed Forces, and all State and local governments, as defined by the Bureau." Criminals will love that. Like a shopping list...
  19. @Erik88 You should know in East TN pretty much everything is going to be swallowed by a sink hole at some point. Construction company I used to work for hit one on a piece of property they were grading to build on in VA. They decided to fill it with gravel. After 50+ tandem dump loads of gravel they still could not see any in the hole. They still ended up building the project on the site, but not sure how they solved it.
  20. Oddly, it would probably hurt more for most guys to get shot by this than a normal black AR. Seems a lot of the colored parts have died out. I kind of wanted to make a Zombie Green (you know the color) AR at one point.
  21. @TechAlG Well maybe some other seasoned reloaders can weigh in. I do like that Grafs has a lot of resource sheets. https://www.grafs.com/retail/index/tech-resources
  22. I have been using the below as a general reference. That is where I got that. I kind of figured it might not be the be all and end all, but it is a good place for me to look quickly. I know from what I read you can often use magnum primers in place of non magnum so I figured there might be places you could reverse that. I just did not want to assume that until I knew what powder and bullet I would be using. It lists 357 Magnum .357 SPM Primer Size and Bullet Diameter Chart from www.grafs.com https://www.grafs.com/uploads/technical-resource-pdf-file/12.pdf
  23. I am hoping to mount a press to a board to be attached when needed to the top of the workbench I am trying to squeeze into the garage. I figured matching holes on the benchtop and board would let me mount with some carriage bolts I have. That way it is an easy on and off. Another option is getting a tool stand and mounting it there. I could move it around, but would need room to stick it somewhere. I have looked at sheds, but it would be hard to fit one in with power without either laying a lot of conduit or having it right at the house. Longer I live here the less I like the way the house and property sits. Without running this into a public laundry list, I think I have most of the equipment. Dies in some calibers are an exception. I am needing some powder to cover other calibers, some rifle brass, and bullets. I have a few bullets, but have not broken down to order 9mm online. At some point I will need SPM primers to load .357, but I do have some SP and a few bullets I can start on .38. SPL with. I have gotten lucky on several things I have been able to catch in stock or I would be no where close to where I am.
  24. Your wife sounds way more forgiving than mine. A stack of mail on the kitchen table is more than she can stand. lol
  25. Don't rub it in... I am trying to piece together enough supplies to load a few calibers. I know I should have long ago, but space and free time are always at a premium in my house. Luckily I got the press, some powder, and some bullets at pre-covid retail. I also picked up a bit of brass at the range.
