You seen Gunbroker prices lately? That would cover about one of those rifles. lol -
CCI had a lot of .22LR and .22 Mag available on their site the last couple days, I think most is gone now though. Pretty normal prices. $3.99 a 50 pack for standard .22LR.

I have been in more than one job where I did most of my manager's work for him... My wife's workplace say some people fail upward until they are high enough they don't have to do work anyway.

I am amazed we do not have morw bridge collapses in general. Lots of them are way past their prime and have much more traffic than they were designed for. Even newly build ones probably suffer from the same corner cutting I saw in construction. 10% less rebar is more prifi6t -
I have been working from home for about a year. Wife a bit longer. My commute was not long (15 to 20 minutes), but I too like rolling down to my desk at 7:50. 95+% of my job can be done from anywhere I have internet. The rest is so minor that asking the mailroom to mail out a piece of equipment from storage is about the largest part I have to hand off. All I did before was carry the box to the mailroom myself. They still shipped it. My wife is pretty much 100%. I feel I can be more productive at home because my boss tends to wander around showing off funny YouTube videos or telling you what funny thing his nephew did last weekend. That productivity also flows over to home. I can start a load of laundry and fold it at lunch if needed. I can wash the breakfast dishes at lunch. Heck, I can pack up eBay sales for shipping while listening to a required webinar. Not losing a single minute of work productivity, but gaining a lot of the home type. Plus, if it is a stressed day, taking lunch at the kitchen table with the wife and kids is much better than cramming down a burger at my desk in the office. That makes my overall life better. Now if they offered me $30K to come back in, I would show up 20 minutes later. That money would be a big difference in things like paying for the kids' college or finishing off the mortgage. In the end, I work to make money. I have worked a lot worse jobs for less. So an offer like that would get signed instantly. I would push my 401k contributions up a few percent at the same time as paying off debt. I have friends in construction that deal with developers a lot. They all are seeing office space leases being terminated. Companies are realizing that the cost to stand over their employees' shoulders is not worth whatever productivity improvement they assumed they were getting (which in reality was none or negative). They have already deployed the equipment to let people work virtual, and in many case that equipment would just go on the shelf if they came back to the office anyway, In a lot of areas and industries, this had already been moving forward before COVID, so now really people are just pushing up the timeline.

At my last job a flaw in a vendor software allowed us to get hacked. We ended up having to pay a few thousand dollars to get the decrypt codes and they were different for each PC hit. Took a few minutes to encrypt, but hours to decrypt. I actually negotiated with the hackers to get a All for one deal instead of paying per PC. Not my proudest day it happened on my watch, but given the company's refusal to buy an upgrade to the software and the fact that the owner insisted it be internet facing so people could work from homes without VPNs, not a lot I could have done about it. Was already working 80 hour weeks there. Not a lot of time to get creative. -
I worked for a company that did Gas & Go setups back in the late 90's. We piloted a new setup at Sam's in Asheville when they were trying to win Wal-Mart. I sat there in a shed for a few months watching out a 2 way mirror window in case anything broke. They had the best price on the street plus they had also started the 5 cents off with a Walmart Gift Card. That station with 12 pumps, pumped 26,000 gallons of gas a day. They had an automatic tank monitor that faxed in orders 24 hours a day when the levels reached a certain level. They would get 3 or 4 trucks deliveries a day. I actually saw them have to come out and stop another local small gas station from filling up a 500 gallon tank truck. With the 5 cents off, the gas was cheaper that the owner could get it from his distributor, I am guessing we are going to hear of at least one guy trying to turn unfired bullets into gas by way of threat of violence.

Passed 4 gas stations on my run out just now. 2 had all Unleaded pumps bagged. Food City is limiting to a fill up and 1 5 gallon gas can per car. The other gas station was lined up with 3 cars at each pump. $2.99 which is a 20 cent jump since last night. Wife comes home to say she is almost out of gas, but I can go get it for her later....... *sigh* At least I filled up 2 5 gallon gas cans Sunday. -

One of the warehouse guys spilt 5 gallons of gas in a Jeep Cherokee my previous employer used as a errand car. They eventually just sold it cheap. It still gave you a headache to drive 6 months later. -
He must have had a lot of cool stuff for the ATF to come onsite. LOL

This kind of crap is what got us those suck a$$ gas cans. She is lucky to pick it up. I can't carry a single 2 liter in one of those bags without it shredding. -

Would not be hard to imagine that is a photoshop....or that I had all those in my possession. Do you think the sailors will say " We lost our guns in a boating accident"...ial seizure? -
I have dabbled in Wix for a friend. It was not bad, I have a hosting plan and run Wordpress, but admittedly not in the simplest format

@loadedp3at Just to give you a comparison of S&W to Colt frames. These are .32s, but still similar comparison. S&W .32 Hand Ejector and Colt Police Positive .32 New Police
-
You might look at a S&W 642 unless you are looking for something longer than a snubby. From just my general obserbation the 2.5 barrel Police Positives do not show up as often as the 4 and 6. Not a real scientific observation though.

Ah, how I wish for the days when you could buy an armload of auto or select fire guns with cash and just walk on out. Of course with the decline in intelligence of the masses... I might not get the outcome I wanted if that happened today.

I regret not buying the Lifetime when I first renewed my yearly. On the other hand, I do agree that making potential buyers pay just to contact sellers is a bit much on Armslist. Paying to list is pretty much how most places are going to end up since a lot of ad revenue generation streams are seeing lower and lower returns. Ad views has always been the way "free" sites paid the bills. For small sites it was pretty much nothing. I think Google ads requires a $100 balance to withdraw your earnings. I have been running my little low traffic site for 3 1/2 years and have not got to cash any out yet. On top of the low returns, lots of ad systems are not wanting to work with gun related sites, just like YouTube demonetized lots of gun channels. So everyone should be prepared to start seeing fees to list on a lot of previously free sites. Best you can do is pick one that matches your selling plan and intended audience and join. If they keep the fees reasonable it will not cut into profits much. Plus hopefully it will keep some of the spammers and scammers out.

New Federal Punch .22LR Defensive Ammo.
Ronald_55 replied to Grayfox54's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I remember a project online where they necked down a 50 BMG case to fit a .22 bullet. I might consider that for defense. Physics are physics though and a 29gr bullet can only do so much. I would take it if it is all I could get, but there are too many other options. -
That squeal was louder than the ones on a hog hunting video I was watching earlier. lol Something about the sound of the gun hitting the ground made me thing it might not be real. Just my thought.

Last person I know that got robbed, it was his nephew that did it. Took all the guns he had from his dad. Last I heard only one of maybe 10 got recovered. Thsi is a kid he let live with him for a few moths to get back on his feet too. With family like that who needs enemies.

As long as ammo keeps selling as soon as stock cones in, primers are gping to be scarce. The ammo makers are not going to sell 100 priners for $5.99 when they can use them in their own ammo that sells for a lot more.
