  1. @FrankD and @Chucktshoes Thanks I may just have to buck up and either get a dedicated light or live with handheld.
  2. Gotta get my daughter's Cobalt into the dealer or a bigger shop. Check engine light has been on for a while for a sensor. Probably O2. Little shop I use normally could not find which one. Since she heads to school in few weeks 4 hours away, I guess it is a good time. Of course I just had to teplace 2 rims and tires on it because she "might have hit a curb" destroying both tires and denting both rims. Then wife calls me at 4:30 to say her tire "popped"... Luckily I had one for hers I saved at the last change. Hopefuily I can get Walmart to replace the damaged one under thr roadside. Couldn't tonight because tire not in stock. On top of this, I have to get a 4th car as the youngest is about to start driving.... Can we all just go back to horses?
  3. In case anyone is interested. Never used them. https://www.clouddefensive.com/trade-in/
  4. I mean listening to that elevator music all the way to the moon... count me out.
  5. Your dad serms a lot like mine. If doing 7 out of 10 level work is good, why not do 11... Looks like that was a labor of love. I know you will treasure it.
  6. Similarly, Pool tech was suppossed to come by and look at our pump. Place swears he did. Not a thing on camera.
  7. I read the first book on the porch of a cabin with a view of Black Mountain. Passed the exit with the sign for the college on the way home. lol I enjoyed them all. I agree the first is the best. A sudden loss of all power such as from a wide reaching EMP is one of the worst case situations. 100 percent of the population still alive, but all current means to grow and transport food, medicine, etc grind to a halt. Large cities would run out of food in a few days. If it was winter many in colder states would freeze to death unless they had alternate heat sources. Crimes of all types would skyrocket since police could not effectively patrol or respond to issues. May would riot further hampering any effort to provide whatever meager assistance the state and federal government could provide. Basically this would be my number 1 on worst ways for SHTF to come about.
  8. I mean he himself already has a big head... maybe he thought his rocket needed one...
  9. I have a Ring doorbell and a regular lighted (the non-floodlight one) cam for the deck. We like it. Took a bit to get the deck camera aligned the way we want, but that was just us fiddling. App is easy to use and will alert you to a low battery, To make that easier, I bought 1 extra battery that I can swap in when one needs recharged. The deck cam could take 2 batteries, but does just fine on 1. We need to get one more, maybe the floodlight, to mount on the deck rail and look over the pool. One cool thing is if you have a regular doorbell where you can mount the doorbell cam, it can run off the bell power. Unfortunately, I could nor do that the way our door is. If you want a regular doorbell feel instead of it just buzzing on your cell, get the chime that is a separate item. We do not have it though.
  10. Not to derail, but man I remember Craig's. I should have hung out there more back in the early 90's. @Moped Nicely done. The 7 round tube is a good option. I don't like FDE guns, but I always figure shotgun furniture is easy and cheap to swap most of the time. I have an 870 Tactical that I bought a bit beat up and missing parts. A few bucks later, it is good to go. Only thing I did not replace was the missing rear ghost sight. It was crazy ecpensive, so I just put a rail on it and a red dit. I like cheap guns, but I have to be mindful that sonetimes cheap just means it is crap. A $75 gun that you can't gett parts for is useless.
  11. Academy also has the Savage Stephens 320 for $229 that has a pistol grip stock if that is better for you. Shows in Stock in Johnson City. https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/savage-stevens-320-12-gauge-pump-action-shotgun?sku=right-12-gauge-18-5
  12. I have seen these for rifles, but does anyone know of one for a pistol that can fit smaller lights? I think it would be nice to have since I carry a little Olight I3T but do not want a light on my pistol at all times. I also am not terrible fond of having a holster to fit a specific light. I could carry the mount in my bag and add the light to my pistol if I encounter a need for it. I have found one, but is for a 1 inch tube size flashlight. My Olight is just over 1/2 inch. This would be close to what I am looking for if it fit my Olight https://amzn.to/3ATDLT8 Thanks
  13. The issue on Amazon is that in a lot of cases Amazon houses inventory for their vendors. That would be fine except they pool the item and do not separate it by who sent it to them. So some bad vendors have inferior products shipped in with the box and SKU of a well know valuable item. So when you order, Amazon just grabs the first one and ships it. You could be ordering from Amazon directly, Vendor A, or Vendor B and still get a package sent to co-inventory by Vendor F. So somethings when you see a Sold by Vendor X, but fulfilled by Amazon, this is what is happening. Shines some light on how some vendors can sell items at such good prices, they sent counterfeit items into the pooled inventory. Then you play roulette as to what you actually get. Not saying this happened here, but could explain it. I used to run into this with software A LOT. Order Office and get a good looking box containing a CDR with Sharpie written on it.
  14. That brought bad images to my head.... Dill pickle chips are really where it is at, but salt and vinegar work too.
  15. Well our efforts to get a variety of things from seed turned into a lot of volunteer tomatoe plants (from mulch), sone heirloom tomatoe plants, a bell pepper plant, 2 squash, and 2 cucumbers. All the sunflowers, jalepenos, and watermelons died or never even came up. Trying to water them any evening we have not had rain. The raised beds just do not hold moisture as well.
  16. I refuse to admit how many I have... including one I commissioned as a take on the Kephart knife.
  17. I have a Right Hand AlienGear ShapeShift Core Carry Pack for Ruger SR9c and SR40c. This is lightly used, if any. Allows 4 carry positions (IWB, Appendix, OWB Slide, and OWB Paddle). It also includes a holster mount for under your car dash. Includes box, instructions and the extra belt hooks. I have looked through it and it seems all the small bits are still there. If anyone wants pictures of all the pieces, I can supply them. $75 shipped CONUS I take most major electronic payment types and USPS Money Orders. Please PM any questions.
  18. I once put "Sorry about your back" in the comments of a huge ammo order. lol
  19. Their website inventory listings is all over the place. I will say to filter out Out of Stock, and still get told things are out of stock when I click on them in the list. Sometimes on ammo though, I think if it says limited stock that they are holding back a few boxes for gun buyers. I got to buy 2 100 round boxes from out of the back when I bought my 10/22. One employee told me that they scanned in a high end gun one morning and it added 2 to the inventory. Plus a guys standing there had gotten an email his gun had arrived when they had no ETA on it coming in at the store. I did run into some LP primers at Academy a few weeks ago and bought my limit of 300. $5.50 per hundred maybe. First ones I have seen in a year maybe. Guy seemed totally surprised they got some in.
