  1. David, man I know hours like that suck and my IT job does not even impact people's health. Hopefully it slows down for you some soon. We had a big issue back in February and I worked several 100+ weeks. No fun at all.
  2. This conversation took a turn down a road I never expected
  3. I am full of ideas and every once in a while one is actually good. Lol Did you build a steel frame for below the pkywood? If you don't want heavy sideboards you could make the stake pockets out of 2 hole conduit straps. Drill a hole in the middle to secure a section of conduit in place when you slide it in from the top. I am in NE TN, if you are close, I might still have some short lengths of conduit lying around. Maybe 2 foot sections. I will have to look. That would save you a little cost.
  4. Great work! I bet you could add outside stake pockets now and make simple sideboards if you wanted to haul supplies or such around. Would be great to haul the chainsaw and gear around if trimming out trails in the summer.
  5. Yep the pinnacle of humanity. Steal what you can, destroy the rest. Idiots.
  6. gr8smiles I am not ashamed to say that I would do some pretty self degrading things to get in your will if these were involved. Lol
  7. Wonder if MacGyver could bump everyone to see if anybody else that got theirs would post in the brag thread?
  8. I would like to know this too. I searched and searched a while back. I got the LPK and other stuff, but could not find anyone anywhere that posted some and would contact me back. Now none of those were on here though. I am in NE Tn though
  9. That place is just full of things that are soooo wrong....
  10. Point taken...and I concur. You will never find me in spandex. I like for people to keep their lunch down.
  11. I bet that rear seam would end up chaffing if he did that.
  12. Everyone I know that gave up on a car like this hates it later. Hang in there. You are not going to get anything new that is better.
  13. I see your man card is safe. Lol
  14. I second that perversion sentiment.
  15. Can I buy these and donate them to deserving ladies? Purely to help promote female concealed carry.
  16. Yep that is why I am insane when I pack stuff to ship. I think I keep the packing tape and bubblewrap companies in business....
  17. Yoga pants are a gift from God. lol You know the guy with the camera kept saying, just one more pic...almost got it right. I had reason to be on a college campus for several hours on a Saturday a while back. Sigh...to be young again. If I started wearing yoga pants, you guys can shoot me...
  18. May be policy and I can see why a little bit, but still not the best way to handle it. It keeps things moving, but not always in the recipients' best interest.
  19. Just scanning through a gun classifieds site and this ad was on the side. Does anyone even see the gun? I just think the words are in the way. lol No doubt this is aimed at us guys.
  20. Yeah, I did not even have a truck or trailer at that point. Sad, growing up we only heated with wood. We would hire out clearing fence rows and trimming trees. We got paid and used the wood to burn. Any good hard wood got sold as firewood and we burned all the small stuff and "junk" We would work all summer to get enough wood to run the winter. Then spend the fall splitting it.
  21. I would think if they did repack it, like the USPS, they would tag it as a repack. I have gotten packages that had postal stickers basically saying "sorry we destroyed the box"
  22. I know a few guys that would love to have some pigeons to go on their land. Doves have dried up at their places and pigeons would be a good alternative. Now the neighbors might not like the idea. Not sure how a private event like a live bird shoot could get shut down. I know "hunting retreats" that still do it with quail and pheasant. I have never been much on those though, but I did not grow up bird hunting.
  23. We had this happen with a couple of huge Poplars a few years ago and I couldn't give them away. People only wanted them if I cut them up AND split if for them....then they wanted it free. My dad came and got the first one in a few loads after we blocked it up, but the second ended up rotting in blocks in the edge of my yard. I called saw mills and no one wanted to cut them because they were afraid of nails in them. One finally agreed, but only if I delivered them. That sank that deal.
  24. Read a true story about a guy a while back that came back from the military and lived in a boarding house. He basically fed himself with an old air rifle by killing pigeons in empty warehouses around this area. He would trade some for other food stuffs and eat some himself. Where I grew up they would actually bring shooters in to kill the pigeons off the courthouse when the population got to big. They would get in the attic and cause all kings of a mess. There is always a lot of food around if you keep an open mind.
  25. Great to hear. Usually and customer service person is irritated to hear this stuff happened, because at the very least it causes them more work. At the most, it is bad for the customer. Hopefully you do not have to wait long to get the fresh shipment. Heck, I almost expected them to just say keep it and ship you more since the shipping has to be a bit on it.
