  1. My first deer rifle was a sporterized Enfield from my grandfather. Someone did some nice engraving on it. Nice rifles to have. Nothing wrong with the .303 British round. I still kick myself for passing up a chance to buy as many as I wanted (non-sporterized) in a gun shop for $79.99 each years back.
  2. That looks like a sweet gun.
  3. Like everything else no one wants you messing with the 3rd hole. Lol I had not even paid attention to that, but I have no inclination to own a legal or otherwise full auto. I go through enough ammo as is.
  4. Is a stripped lower technically full auto just because it has a setting scribed on it? Or if you put a semi lpk in it, does that make it a semi?
  5. I think you meant they were running an idiotinthecabulator....
  6. It is always funny to me to see all the 4x4s in the ditch as I pass in my front wheel drive. They just have all 4 wheels sliding because they are still doing 65 on ice on the interstate.
  7. Wonder what the total weight is on this?
  8. Anybody ever looked at putting a mercury switch alarm in your safe? That way if it tips up, the Alarm is triggered. Not sure if anyone makes them though.
  9. That is the only way to work.. for yourself. Sadly I don't. So what did the FFL inspection consist of. i have heard people say they can be picky.
  10. Hey Mike, Welcome So where are you setting up shop?
  11. With the Sears and Movie theater going out of the Fort Henry Mall I expect they will be hurting. I think the center with BestBuy on Stone Drive is hurting them too. Basically it is just a bunch of teenagers hanging out when I have to go in there. I used to dream of owning craftsman stuff, but not anymore. The last time someone I knew tried to get a replacement for a lifetime warranty wrench, they hassled him. They ended up asking him to ship it for a replacement because they couldn't just give him a new one at the store.
  12. I keep looking to possibly pick up one of those. I agree they would be a good solution to the problem of arming several people. I thought of reloading, but had not thought you could do it with back powder. I know in a pinch coins, pea gravel, marbles, or bearings could be used for projectiles. If you were really prepared, you would have a stash of lead and buckshot molds. Because no matter how much ammo you stockpile, you will run out at some point. Any idea on how you would deal with primers if you ran out?
  13. You might have to add a carry strap, but this looks to work. lol
  14. We have one guy at work that has a personal one and he has one for our survey crew. They use your iPad, iPhone, or android phone as part of the controller. Seems really fun. They use the work one to do aerial shots of job sites and to get building pictures where you can't do it by hand. theose are much better than the $20 one my son has. It is fun, but has a very short battery and is not as stable. Some of the nicer ones have a return to home feature, a follow me feature, and a hover unattended feature.
  15. I have shot Monarch in several of my guns and never had an issue. I just ordered some since I can't stop by any time soon.
  16. Yeah, Cabelas is a good option to skip the sales tax, but they are not even close on the price right now. I just happen to have some Academy credit, so that will offset the taxes. Otherwise I would be ordering from that site too.
  17. Academy Sports has some 200 round boxes for FMJ Monarch on sale for $34.99. Free shipping on orders over $25. That comes out to 17.5 cents BEFORE tax. Maybe not quite as good, but if you are close to a store you can probably just pick it up. http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/monarch-9mm-luger-115-grain-pistol-ammunition#repChildCatid=3821051
  18. Contact @gjohnsoniv I know he works with it a little. Not sure if just for liners for leather stuff though.
  19. You are right by overkill. Did you plan based on Tier 3 data center specs? Work built one and I think it has less bells and whistles than you do, except for the 2 tractor trailer sized generators they have out back.
  20. Funny how they do not say how many guns and how much ammo. It could have been a couple of pistols and a couple of boxes of ammo. If it was next to the river, I wonder if it washed down in a flood. Biggest question is - Would any of you just whistled a tune as you headed home with some new toys and ammo?
  21. 2.ooohhh I am sure I do not want to know how much you have invested in that. If I set all that up the neighbor's dog would be running around my garage all night just to hear me scream and cuss at the flashing light. Then the kids would hijack the theater to only play their stuff and everyone would be fussing that something or other was not working the way they wanted. I get enough of that at work. lol
  22. I do not see it on my own post, and in a few with longer quotes, part of the post including the like button seems to be pushed out of sight.
  23. Testing to see if it is on your post, but not on mine
  24. I bet someone blamed the Elk.
  25. I watched a whole group of people crowd around the base of a tree at one point in Cades Cove to look at a Black Bear cub up in the tree. No one bothered to wonder how mad mom would be when she showed up and the cub was treed. I left before she showed back up. I like all my appendages minus the teeth marks.
