  1. Interested to see what else you found in the bushes. Never ceases to amaze me what turns up in the weirdest places.
  2. Uhhhh...no. To me that screams movie druglord. If I had to have it, I would at least do the laser and mag extension in white to match the grips.
  3. Thanks greg, my set did have that, but it was not the mauser one, that one is bigger. There are 2 like a flat head screwdriver with a u cut out of the middle. The largest one fit it. I attached a pic. Not sure if that is the large or small size. I then realized how little I knew. I could not get it to work until I had a DUHHH! moment. The firing pin...THEN the spring goes in.... I realized this when I saw this image of the internals. By the way, the guy that does these is fantastic. He has a lot of models.I just stumbled across it. Here is a link. http://cungya.deviantart.com/art/Iver-Johnson-top-break-safety-revolvers-HLebooks-536149400 So now I just have to get some .32 S&W ammo to test it out.
  4. I would watch Milla Jovovich read from the dictionary if she wore that strap outfit from The Fifth Element.....
  5. Not to sidetrack, but where do I get a teaching job that students give me ammo? Lol
  6. Anyone have any experience with a GSG 2lr pistol like the one pictured? Good, bad, mediocre? Thanks. I have looked around and it seems like reviews are mostly for the 1911 model they make. Plus first hand knowledge from you guys carry so much more weight.
  7. Thanks. I actually picked up a Wheeler set, but not sure that little one has it. I will take a look to see if it matches if I have it. I will cross my fingers. Lol Only looking I got to do is over lunch at work yesterday, so none of my tools were with me.
  8. I finally got this in hand. Looks like all I have to do it put the spring, firing pin, and bushing in. Of course like I had already found out on the web, it takes some specific 2 pin tool that no one can find. I attached a rough drawing of what it looks like. It is threaded to fit into the hole. I played with it a little bit but could not get it to thread all the way in. I hope to have some more luck when I get a few minutes.
  9. You should reply "When you add $600 to your offer" lol
  10. Most of my experience selling on CL has been getting an email or text saying "will you take (insert half the asking price or less) as the first contact.
  11. I think I had 3 guns before middle school thanks to my Papaw. Pays to be from a gun family.lol Took me 30 years to start getting more....
  12. I remember seeing a movie where a guy stuck a sticker on a guy's luggage and the backing of it had metal in the outline of a grenade. So in the xray, it looked like one. Kind of always wanted to try that out...you know just to see....not on anyone that I do not like...really..
  13. With a few guns I have seen people trying to trade, you would be on the losing end of the deal even at that.
  14. I am not sure I will sleep very well tonight after a few of those pics. lol
  15. I have no idea if you would be getting the better end of the deal or not. lol
  16. Man East TN is not as fun as Nashville I guess. Of course if a scruffy guy in overalls offers me sexual favors with him or his livestock for a gun...I am going to run. I thought Craigslist did not allow firearms?
  17. Would love to hear what kind of crazy trade offers people have gotten over the years. I try to be reasonable when I offer a trade to someone, but it seems some people either think I am stupid about prices or that their beat up single shot 12ga is some rare artifact. If I can go buy it for $110, I am not going to trade you a $400 item for it.
  18. Good find. May we all be so lucky.
  19. Do I dare ask where you lucked up on that?
  20. I guess it is the trickle down affect as smaller and smaller venues and events ramp up security.
  21. Glad to meet you from the East end of the state. It is true, guns are like bunnies. You get one and then there are 3 in the box... Or maybe I am just an addict.... lol
  22. The mail lady at work cusses me I think. I have all the eBay stuff I order for me or work delivered to our physical address so that no one has to wait at the PO to get them. One day i think half her car was parts coming in for a project I was doing.
  23. The Whoops TSA thread reminded me that I wanted to post this. Went to a Knoxville Ice Bears Hockey game a few weeks ago. We go a few times every season. I was surprised to see a security line on the outside where you had to empty your pockets and get wanded. This is new this year. I never thought about carrying in my pocket knife in the past. I made a U turn to the car and then went on in. Has there been an issue there that I don't know about since i am not in Knoxville?
  24. Never done this on a plane, but ended up at a Federal building once with my EDC knife back in 2003. Security was nice, but seemed a little irritated. I got my knife back on the way out.
  25. Did I miss what caliber that one you just got is?
