  3. I guess to out do you I am gonna have to start open carrying a sawed off double barrel 10GA
  4. Well I guess to correct myself, no one but Fortyfive plans for that
  5. As far as I can find, it does not exist. I think the reporter could not read his/her handwriting and it was supposed to be AR-15. Or maybe the Associated Press designed a super secret rifle
  6. I agree that we can't carry for every situation, otherwise we would all be humping a huge pack with a shotgun, sniper rifle, AR, and 3 sidearms. Plus 5000 rounds of ammo.....for each. Having anything is better than nothing and shot placement is everything. A .25ACP through the eye socket will kill someone/thing as easy as a 45-70. So if a Bengal Tiger jumps you in the grocery store, just use what you have, because no one plans for that.
  7. Thanks.
  8. That is something we should get some of the other guys and gals to weigh in on. I am afraid I do not have hands on with either. I am guessing either would be a plus for you. Funny thing, I was just looking at a a 760 that someone had posted somewhere from a different state.
  9. There is a lot of variables. What condition is the Savage? What kind of scope? What model 110 is it? Here are the Model 110 pages from the 2010 Standard Catalog of Firearms. Obviously prices have changed some. From my point of view, I would. You can always buy a new Hi Point later. A 1950's rifle may not land at your door every day. I am a fan of old guns though. Just be sure to check function and condition.
  10. Looks like someone bought some ammo cans off that government auction site. Lol
  11. I bought a Winchester 37a 12ga single shot. It refuses to cock the hammer when closed. Gratifying and frustration to work on. I think I know the issue, but there is no clear reason why it will not lock completely. I gotta stop buying broken guns. Lol I still have to test the Iver Johnson .32 S&W top break that I had to put the firing pin in.
  12. Thanks You got it. I will start with the Win 37A 12ga I am cleaning up. Looks like no one has done anything ot it in 20 years.
  13. Well if you are offering, I will take it. lol. I will PM you.
  14. Hate it that bad or just have way too much?
  15. Hey so how are you liking thr Frog Lube? Did you get the paste too? I am thinking of setting a full set to go across all my guns. Clean. lube and protect.
  16. Crap. I was watching a Walking Dead marathon and missed this. Maybe next time.
  17. Nice! Sounds like you are a guy that should just start designing and building from scratch.
  18. I would love to get back to smithing. I took one day with a smith and was working on a forge. Things have gotten in the way though. Are you taking a group class? I had a hard time up here even finding a smith that would teach. They do have a local meet up once a month.
  19. I hope so. Maybe we will see $200 complete rifles. Lol This one is a close price $450 if anyone needs am AR tonight. http://grabagun.com/windham-weaponry-carbon-fiber-223-16-flat-top.html
  20. Grabagun sent an email with a couple ARs at $399 today. http://view.email.grabagun.com/?qs=2d4ac77b5362a17d86afd533dd44d99f34a700d27ae2a18d50f7c6e38142b02905fe02494656eca83a6cd348e81d0ab0820d6cfeb8c2cf8bfd616bce77707130 Just in case anyone missed it.
  21. Already out there. Real-world aimbot: The $17,000 rifle with a Linux-powered scope
  22. I saw 555 packs just sitting on the shelf in Bass Pro a couple days ago. Limit was one, but they had 10 at least.
  23. I just bought myself a 12 gauge Winchester 37a. It needs a little work but it'll be great for just playing around. I want to try out cut shells and a few things.
  24. I have never wanted to work at a Starbucks before, but I would love to do this.
  25. Nice to meet ya'
