  1. Uhhhh... is it enough to say.....lots of guns. I worked out a package deal from a fellow TGO'er. Maybe I will admit publicly how many and which ones it was later. LOL
  2. I can't remember back that far.....
  3. Sounds like my entire life.
  4. I am trying to figure it out. My Father's Day gift was suppossed to be a concert trip, but not sure how it will work out. My family will want to go on the trip, but not to the concert. Then I get grief if I am away from them all day. Plus going alone makes for a much less fun time.
  5. Anyone planning to go to Louder Than Life in Louisville KY at the end of September? http://louderthanlifefestival.com
  6. You do have to register to use the Advanced Search.
  7. I fully believe that electricity is a luxury. It can be lived without. There are things that are harder and take a lot longer to do, but they still can be done if they need to be done. It would take a bit for us to revert back to simpler times. If it was the power grid being down versus a EMP, we would still have a time when we had fuel for tractors and trucks and things such as that. That would help ease the transition. I grew up with electricity, but no central hvac. We used wood to heat. Going back to it would not be a huge deal for me.
  8. The dog, right? I knew I was right. Lol
  9. Crap just think of the riots when they realize WiFi is down
  10. Motion sensing paintball gun? https://www.engadget.com/2007/11/26/automated-paintball-gun-keeps-the-residence-secure/
  11. Bersa, ever looked into straw bale gardening? Get someone to position your bales (as many or as few as you like) then go at it. Here is an idea for example
  12. Bear traps...they are Always the answer. Seriously though, wonder if timed sprinkers would scare them and wash away the "calling cards"?
  13. He will be missed, but his influence will live on where ever zombies gather.
  14. Then things would be dull...
  15. I always talked myself out of tattoos. Some is the cost, the other is that I have an issue with identifying marks on my body. Not that I rob banks or anything, it is just a quirk with me. One of many quirks....
  16. My worry is never the one guy, it is his 5 drunk buddies along with him. If you know the guy it can be all cool, but if it is just some random guys, any minor thing can get out of hand if someone thinks that you disrespected their club or a member. This can be especially bad timing if they are already flexing their muscles to show off in an area and keep others out. So no hate from me for them, but I would just rather avoid worrying about it.
  17. Monk vs. Bikers..... Now on DVD.
  18. I know there are lots of nice bikers, my Dad rode for a long time, but some of these harder core clubs are not so nice. Several Outlaw chapters have been busted for a wide range of drug and violent acts. A meet up could involve some dealings that it is better to not be a part of. I rarely judge people on appearance. I used to dress rougher than some of there guys would. I have also learned that there are some places and groups I avoid to avoid the trouble there. Biker bars and hooker rows are not places to strike up a pleasant conversation. Too many chances for issues.
  19. That is not a good sign. I would give them a wide berth.
  20. If you message me a list of makes and models, I can look them up in the Standard Catalog of Firearms for 2017 and the 2017 Blue Book. Those prices will not be 100% market true, but can help when comparing to Gunbroker.com pricing.
  21. Gonna say "Merry Christmas just in case anyone tosses in a Lifetime. LOL
  22. A group of Mass. Outlaws passed me on I-81 day before yesterday headed that way. Probably 20 of them. The looked to have full game faces on. I wondered where they were going. They even had a dually truck with them hauling stuff.
  23. No, just dropping a kid off for a camp. Hamfest sounds cool though.
  24. One issue I have is that today he will gripe about my office being too full of equipment. Then next week he will ask me is I can cobble together a laptop for X person for $0 and be miffed if I can't. Part of my job has been to rebuild laptops that have been used in the office to be deployed to the field to save money. The savings is in not spending much or anything, not on my labor hours put in on it. Whether that is just reloading the OS, replacing a cracked screen, or swapping out the keyboard. We tend to use the same models for a while, so I can usually rob parts from one that is worse to fix one up. That requires donors though. I used to put all those in the warehouse until the forklift driver ran over stuff for a 3rd time. I know it sounds like whining, and I know it is his company to run. With only 20+ people in the office, it is not like a Fortune 500 company CEO stopping by my office. This company is littered with his relatives and I am asked time and time again by him to do things that are not business related for him and them. I accommodate everything I can in those situations, so I would have thought he would see me working as an understanding that I am fixing the issue. Maybe next time he asks me to go to his niece's house to set up her wifi so she can work from home after having stomach bypass surgery and not have to take any vacation, I will have to just decline. It just makes me sore that he is being petty over what will probably be a 2% (might get me a Big Mac meal per week) raise and he makes 7 figures a year. I know because he has me help him pdf his tax returns..... I will drop this issue now. I have to get back to cleaning my office. I just had a break waiting for software to install on a workstation.
  25. Well , I just got told by our president that the CEO decided to hold my raise that was supposed to come out today (everyone's was) until I clean up my work area. That sounds kind of simple, but it is not. My "office" doubles as the IT storage room for incoming and outgoing pc's, laptops, tablets and phones. I house all our site camera equipment, cables, projectors, software, and networking accessories in here too. I will admit, I am not the neatest person, that is a big fault I have, but my office is also in the warehouse. My door opens into the warehouse, so no one sees my office except a handful of people that come to get something from me or drop something off. Also, my workload already puts me here much more than 40 hours a week at a salary. So staying around extra to just clean up is not really at the top of my list. I have things that need done at home and I do like to see my family some. I think this is a very bad way to treat an issue. I had already discussed the issue with the President and we had a game plan in place to get things done. I have made very concrete progress in the last week and was working on clearing some stuff when the President showed up to tell me this. Someone told me that they have heard of this at other places. Is that right? Anyone else ever seen it? I know I am not the only IT guy with a cluttered office. It seems to come with the territory, especially if you deal with hardware. The software only guys don't seem to have that issue obviously.
